New Mill RestaurantThis is our favorite place!My husband and I are residents of Plantsville and this has always been our favorite restaurant...even in our travels outside the state. The food is ALWAYS consistently good (excellent) and I am really picky about ambiance. We have 2 small kids and rarely get to go out just the two of us, so when we do, I like it to be a good experience where we can hear each other and have a little privacy. They don't generally seat you right on top of each other and there are different rooms - I love the set up. The service is always really good too. The menu is really varied but I can't say it enough...we always leave there saying what an amazing meal we had. We are never disappointed. Last night my husband and I went to the Mill without a reservation, but got seated as it was only about 6:15. I tried the halibut special, as I saw someone at the bar who said it was great. Glad I tried something different.....it was delis outs.. Christina was our server and she was outstanding. We were very impressed with the staff and our waitress in particular. She had a pleasant demeanor and was very efficient in satisfying our dining needs.

Meal was prompt, cooked and delivered to expectations. The fish was cooked well not dry/ overcooked or undercooked and nice cuts of fish. The pasta was al dente and fresh crisp salads and greens.
The waitstaff was friendly, attentive, informative and prompt.
Price is moderate and commensurate to their meals.
