No huge pieces of rice to go with tiny slabs of sashimi, here it's the legit deal - amazingly fresh fish of a significant portion slapped onto a cute pile of rice. We had the middle size Omakase and I would definitely go back for it again. Great portions and great recommendations for drinks too :)"

  • "Very obscured location (signage almost non-existent) but incredible food! Forget about romance at Neta as it was still jamming at 8pm on a Tuesday night. Hubby and I ordered the $95 omakase (there are 3 options) as we don't want wagyu nor foie gras. This includes 5 sampling sizes of the appetizers and 5 sushi varieties (rolls, sushi....) and everything was AMAZING! Service was good - not pushy, attentive enough, friendly. Will definitely come back very very soon!"

  • "I know how Restaurants work. I've been in the business for a very long time. This place needs to check its volume level and its shuffle play list if it wants anymore stars from me ever again in the future or for me to recommend it to anyone else. On the other hand the food was good, not the best of the best, but all around pretty damn good. However it would have been great if a little more refinement and thought in the flavor profiles of 3 dishes of the omakase we were served. But sometimes you just have to smile and say thank you.....too bad no one in the Kitchen could have heard us say thank you because of the loud obnoxious music being played overhead."

  • "The meals, aside from being beyond tasteful, were explained to us by a very helpful (as opposed to typically aggressive) waiter who helped to steer us into the right direction. The dishes were small but perfect for sharing and the waiter made it clear how many we would want to order-very helpful. Each dish seemed to taste better than the last and we had a hard time picking our favorite. We also sat at the bar and were able to watch the chefs make each meal-beyond impressive! I would definitely recommend this dinner to a couple looking for an intimate meal!"

  • "We took the omakaze option on the menu as the waitress indicated it would be the best choice.... Overall, while the food was good but not special, whatever we got wasn't worth the $400 we paid (Omakaze for 2 people). Adding to that a bottle of sake, two beers and the tip and the total bill added up to over $650. We've visited most of the top rated sushi places in the city and this one should definitely not be considered as one of them. Overpriced for what you get...."

  • "I really like this restaurant. You can seat at the sushi bar and watch the chefs prepare your meal. Otoro is expensive, $16 a piece. Dungeness crab salad was excellent, and the uni risotto was delicious. Beware of the the loud hip-hop music played and the loud volume of other guests. Not the most private or romantic restaurant for a date."

  • "I took my fiance to Neta for his birthday dinner. For sushi lovers as we are, it was definitely a great choice. The omakase began with hot and cold appetizers of which highlights were crab salad, sea scallop served in a shell with mushrooms and sea urchin, and vegetable tempura. After these courses, the real gems came out. Piece by piece, each sushi was excellent. The quality of the fish was superb, especially the toro. Highly recommend to any sushi lover."

  • "For the price of the Omakase and all the promising reviews, I expected more. First of all, I did not know that if I wanted an all sushi Omakase I needed to ask for it. So, if that's your preference don't make the same mistake I did and sit through the classic version when you might prefer all sushi. Super loud room. Louder than any zen sushi experience you'll find at the best of the city (e.g. Soto, etc.) The quality is all top notch, but I never said "wow"... Nothing memorable or stand out. All very professional, very well prepared but almost generic for the price."

Atmosphere made me feel that I don't need to go back especially in comparison to Sushi Nakazama, Sushi Yasuda, Sushi Seki, and even Blue Ribbon Sushi. Overall this was not worth the hype."

The food is unquestionably the highlight, and is worth every penny, although - trust me - there will be LOTS of pennies. We ordered the mid-priced omikaze and could not have been more happy with it."

My sister and I ordered the $225 omakase and it was worth every penny.   • "Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed an early Sunday supper. Being early, we were able to sit at the bar and ask the chef as well as the waiter for suggestions. Every single one of them was spot on...all very fresh and cooked to perfection. I don't think I would have ordered a white wine from Rioja, but the waiter did not steer us wrong: it was delicious! Even the desert was unique and delectable. Well worth the experience if you don't mind an expensive night out."

  • "Fantastic food--with the exception of a dungeness crab salad that did not live up to its price tag, the small plates were excellent--in particular the grilled whole scallop and the king mushrooms. Sushi was delicious and fresh, with the salmon canape so good that we ordered extra. Cocktails were badly inconsistent--their version of a martini was bad, the Severed Anchor not great, but the Shibui was excellent. So was the sake, and wine pours were generous, so that balances out cocktail unevenness. The food was excellent. Service was good, ambiance was fine. Music was off-key at times. (Red Hot Chili Peppers? But the hip-hop was solid.) It must be said that the quality of the meal comes at a considerable price. Worth it, but no bargain."

  • "Neta was not only the finest sushi experience my wife have ever had -- it was up there with the best restaurants we have ever eaten in. We had the $135 omekase and it was well worth it. My wife compared the meal to the first time we ate at Guy Savoy in Paris. It was that good. The quality of the fish, the seasoning and combinations of flavors, the small plate starters were just...genius. And the service was friendly, relaxed and incredibly professional. Go. It's not cheap, but go."

Try the tasting menu for the full experience. it is a little on the pricier side, but it shows up in the quality of the food.
