A. C.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPERFECTION !!Everyone absolutly must try Neros. The french onion soup is better than any I had in France or anywhere else for that matter. The prime rib is too good for words. The antipasta and bread are as good as any I have had in Italy. The only minor flaw is the price of mixed drinks. (others have mentioned this in their reviews and I agree). The manager Betty goes out of her way to make you feel special and our server Donna was the kind of server you wish you could have everywhere you dine. We had stopped going to Caesars years ago but given how fantastic Nero's is we will make this our new favorite casino. The food was superb, and the portion sizes were humongous. I had the prime rib special, and while they say it was 28oz, I think it was 28oz of meat, and then additional weight for the bone. It was excellent. Everybody in my party thought their food was excellent too. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic but with problemsNero's has the best onion soup anywhereas well as pime rib, but it is priced for the highrollers. They also have the best bread basket outside of Italy. So what are the problems? The drink prices. $18.50 for ONE mixed drink is nuts. The lobster is fantastic but overpriced. The BIGGEST problem is that they close the main dining room which is beautiful and helps justify the overpriced drinks and seat everyone in the bar area.. All of us use to have dinner and spend the night playing slots. Now we just go for dinner and leave. Nero's is a lot of fun and has fantastic food. We will use our slot money for an extra drink but we will no longer play at Caesars. From the moment you get there and Betty the hostess/manager toake you in to Roger the GREAT waiter...to Matt the omlet chef with great creatins suggestion....to Bloody Marys/Mimosas/Oysters, GIGANTIC shrimp, lamb chops, seafood, fresh made waffles, pancakes to Beef au poivre to everything else. WOW! Even at the $49.99 price it IS a value! Definitely worth a trip and then the viiews overlooking the Baordwalk and the the ocean! A definite every time we're in AC. CorporateNero's is great. Corporate management is not. They close the main dining room and only serve at the bar area. The dining room is beautiful and part of the experience. The only thing worse is the parking. The garage is horrible-it has two way traffic and is dangerious. The old garage (which is much better but closed most of the time) has not 1, not 2, but 3 major speed bumps when you enter. Also drink prices are the highest of any casino, $18.50 a drink! Come on Caesars, let me spend my money in the casino-not on drinks. I have been to all the places on open tables best list and none of them can match Nero's. Our server (Donna) was one of the best our group has every experienced. Donna guided us to all the best dishes and some fantastic wines. The food was fantastic also. We followed the suggestions in the reviews and had a perfet evening. We asked for the server Donna and the hostess was happy to oblige. Donna was a delight!! She made the night a lot of fun and guided us through each couse seletion as well as wines. We were a little disappointed the main dining room was closed but we had a nice window seat overlooking the beach and ocean in the bar area. The food was fantastic. Donna was right, they DO have the best prime rib anywhere! She guided us through all our course selections as well as wine choices. She is very knowledgeable on how everything is prepared. Donna is also a lot of fun while still very professional. The food was fantastic. All in all this is a must try restuarant. The only thing they could improve is the price of a mixed drink. This is a very high end restuarant (with great everything-food-prices-service) Someone has gotten the bright idea to have the servers in a high end restuarant wear metal buttons. All I can think is the new management team has eaten at TGIF one to many times. This is not a cheap chain family restuarant. It is one the the very few places in South Jersey that still offers the fine dining experience. The linens, silverware and service are old world. The buttons belong on McDonald employess. Want fries with that? Wise up managers. Neros has been perfect since day one. Our server was so great that we would go back just for her. The room is beautiful and everyone is very nice and friendly, yet professional. I got the New York Strip and it was good although I probably should have gotten it medium instead of medium well so it would be a little juicier. The side order of onions I requested, although not sauteed as I thought they would be, were grilled to perfection and quite delicious.
