We had called to tell them we would be late but it didn't seem to cause a problem for the staff at Nel Centro. We were seated immediately, our dinner was served and we made our lecture at the Schnitz on time. The dinner was delicious (pasta with wild boar ragu for one of us and ravioli nicoise for the other) We still had time for salad and two glasses of great house wine and never felt rushed. It's upscale food is a welcome surprise. Particularly appreciated the space between the tables it gave you a more intimate and private feeling. For that reason, it would also be a good spot for a business lunch. My husband and I arrived in plenty of time for our reservation, but our dining partners were late; no problem, we were seated at a table large enough to accommodate our party when all arrived. We had appetizers and wine, keeping our server informed as to our deadlines and how late our friends would be - she made sure that she got to our table immediately as my in-laws arrived, got their order in and on time wiht ours, and we walked out the door right on time. It was a fabulous evening, made better by the folks at Nel Centro! This last meal was very much so.
The menu is very creative but well balanced. I have tried new combinations I had never considered and each has "worked."
The service has remained the same every visit: pleasant, knowledgeable, with excellent timing.

Our server was able to recommend a great wine for us. The wines were a little pricey, but that's to be expected at a formal dining restaurant. The food was delicious! We had the wild boar bolognese and the lamb with brussels sprouts.
