Waitress service fair at best, slow and long delays between courses. I give some room for error due to my visit occurring during restaurant week, but e even then, the manager knew this as well. My food was over cooked, steak and my soup was salty, limited desert menu and when waitress was informed of my displeasure she offered little apology and the manager never came over to address the matter.

I really liked the music. We went during local restaurant week, so I don't know what the regular menu is like. The food was quite good - the bread pudding was delicious! There is a nice selection of house wines for $26. Other wines are expensive.

it was my wifes and my first time at Nektar. We took advantage of the restaurant week special try this restaurant out. We were greeted very nicely and escorted to our table. Our waitress was pleasant pointed out any necessities. All 3 courses were excellent and you never felt rushed in between them. We experienced the corn tortilla soup / 4 oz twin fillets and bread pudding for desert. The bar was full as were all the tables, but you easily carry on a conversation with your guest. Ambiance was great.. We will be going back to try other offerings,because the regular menu looked great.. We recommend NEKTAR. As Bill and Ted once said.. " IT was most excellent!"

Went here for restaurant week. Food was great and so was our service. The only thing I would mention wa s it was very quiet. I went with a friend and we were doing alot of talking and at times I felt we had to whisper. But besides that, Id recommend Nektar.

Greeted warmly and promptly seated. The restaurant is a bit on the small side. We were seated at a table that was near the end of the bar. This created an issue in that someone would want to stand at the bar which would in turn crowd us a bit at our table with someone's backside facing us. The hostess would ask them to move but they seemed to find their way back.
The food and service though was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive. Our meals were excellent and generously portioned. Chose an appetizer that I thought was totally unusual but turned out to be amazing. It was a cheese platter with warm olives, churezo sausage, spicy mustard dip and a few pieces of bruschetta. Highly recommended!

Excellent, creative food. We enjoyed their creative drink list as well as sharing three small or appetizer plates. Our favorite was the sweet-potato gnocchi, done with a maple cream. We were also thrilled with the crab cakes, which had a wonder flavor and texture, with plenty of crab. The third selection was a special, lobster risotto fritters. These were sort of like a seafood arancini - rice rather than doughy. Four big balls. Again, plenty of lobster meat and complimented by a spicy sauce on the plate. This was plenty of food for the two of us for dinner; we had to force ourselves to finish because it was so good. The ambiance was a quiet, trendy elegance.

My third or forth time at your restaurant. The food is always great, and the service is excellent. The restaurant is small, but that gives it a cosy atmosphere. Great restaurant for a relaxing or romantic night out.
