They weren't able to seat us because it was too busy but it was ok. The bar was also crowded but it wasn't worth complaining about, I purchased a few drinks which were great and strong. Place was lively and loud, but it was expected for a Friday night. Great service from our waiter who gave great suggestions about food. Where my server was too busy there was a very attentative helper off to the side that would replenish napkins, clear the table and do the little things. Good was great the drinks were outstanding so I have no complaints. Great and modern take on traditional Jamaican food. Being from the island, I'm definitely critical but I've always had a great experience and so has my family. Negril defies all of that. They know how to make an authentic Jamaican meal. The food was great and the drinks were good (the rum punch is no joke). It was a tad bit loud with all the different conversations going on and the music playing as well but it was fine. I always heard good things about Negril and had to try it for myself. Pros:
My entire group enjoyed their food and drinks! Beware, the drinks are a bit strong.
Lively spot great for all ages, the music was good. A bit loud.
Cons:
They will not seat you until your entire group has arrived. Make a reservation and lie to your friends about timing.
We waited a long time for our entrees to come out. I am guessing because it was so packed. Try to go earlier on a Friday or Saturday night.
Even if you eat upstairs they will charge you to go to their lounge in the basement. If you eat there the lounge should be free.

I've eaten at Negril Village before and thought it would be a nice place to celebrate my mum's birthday. Our server was Miguel and he was spot on with his charm. Along with my party was my sister and my nephew. They all rave about the food and the atmosphere where we enjoyed our dining experience. Price was not an object. Just good service and celebrating my mum's first experience there. No less, Negril Village will see us yet again and hopefully we get Miguel again. I'm glad you investigated my reservation here on Open Table and that I fulfilled the reservation on date stetted. The place is beautiful the ambiance and setting is great, there was definitely a great vibe. I had a reservation and only waited ten minutes to be seated. The service was great! He was right on point with everything and timely. I had the curry shrimp, which was amazing and the sauce was to die for. The bill was just over $200 with five of us! Drinks were amazing as well!
