Nectar Restaurant & LoungeMother's Day Brunch 2013The ambiance was better than I expected as the online photo was limiting. The brunch options were immense, everything was fresh and tasty. The hostess staff was excellent as was the wait staff. We were given a private dining room that we didn't even request but, was most appreciated as we had three children. We chose it for convenience and we were pleased with our choice.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMJust Okay ReallyThe service was awesome and the view can't be beat, our appetizer was delicious, and i loved my dinner (almond crusted dover sole). my husband had the kobe beef meatloaf and it was dry (no gravy) and a little bland. We had our rehearsal dinner at Nectar 4 years earlier and returned for our anniversary. However, something from from the meal didn't agree with me and I'm a little leary about returning for dinner. The only negative was pretty much beyond Nectar's control. I'm pretty sure over the last few years I've tried about all of them. The restaurant was full - but it wasn't crowded. The food was excellent. There was a great selection but it wasn't overwhelming...which was nice because the warming trays were rotated frequently and everything was nice and fresh...no solid yolks on the Eggs B! The desert was okay...I don't think they were made there. The chocolate fountain was awesome, however. Overall, outstanding. From the Hostesses greeting to the last bite of dessert the experience was perfection. The set menu was absolutely delicious and our server, Lizzie, was fabulous (she really made the meal!). They were very accommodating with our little one (water cup with a straw was brought even before we requested one) - and we received a free pour for booking through Open Table. We go there for special occasions and for when we want a nice quiet dining or bar experience. Everything is "very good" - the food, the service, the peace, the comfort, but the view is excellent.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were staying at the hotelWe were staying at the hotel so chose to eat at Nectar the first night rather than search for a restaurant or drink/drive. The food was so good, we came back the second night! The Kobe beef meatloaf as well as the pork loin the first night then the filet and prime rib (nice cut and perfectly medium rare). Service was great - the restaurant manager went out of his way to ensure we had a great experiance. I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant.2/22/2013 12:00:00 AM
