Diner Reviews
  • "fabulous food and unique selections but overprices"

  • "The ambiance and décor were very nice, our waiter was knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. The food was underwhelming due to the lack of seasoning and a bit pricey for what you get, I will say the presentation was very nice for everything we ordered."

  • "our visit to Naya was very brief. I ordered the mussels. After 2 bites I sent them back. The taste was sour & I was fearful of them being bad. I requested extra vegetables & no rice with my chicken kabobs. They came with extra rice & few vegetables. The chicken was tender but was so full of garlic that garlic was the only flavor I could taste. I have to say the waiter was very nice but the setting is not good for conversation since the tables are very close & the sounds was bouncing off the ceiling."

  • "Service was great...food was excellent...prices were very reasonably priced for being in Scottsdale & Paradise Valley...would go back with families and definitely recommend to friends"

  • "We had a pleasant dinner at Naya. The food was good, but not exceptional. My husband liked it better than I did, so he would rate it higher."

  • "My wife and I recently had dinner there and it was a very pleasant experience. Service was excellent, food was very good and the price was very reasonable. The decor is quiet nice and we will definitely return in the future."

  • "The restaurant has a nice decor, it was not crowded at all and the food was very good."

  • "Had dinner with two friends 7/5/14 and it was fabulous. I had been to Naya before and brought two new diners. We loved the ambiance and service and the food was fantastic."

  • "Being of Mediterranean origin, I expected the worse out of this first time experience, but to my big surprise, We got the Best!! Food was Great,"

  • "We have gone here a few times. My partner has a gluten allergy and a tomato allergy. She has never had a problem with any of the meals she has ordered. They are always very attentive. The meals are delicious. A great spot for sure. We have sat in the bar and the restaurant and always get great service. Cocktails are fun and creative also."

  • "I'd characterize the menu as leaning toward Middle Eastern, and that’s what we ordered. Hummus was a creamy and flavorful appetizer. We also tried an appetizer that was new to us, Lebanese Sausages, that we thoroughly enjoyed. For the main course my partner had the Beef Kabab and I had the Shish Tawouk. Both were very good, but we thought the Shish Tawouk was the better of the two."

  • "Put Naya on your to-do list. Well worth the effort. The food and service first rate; very well presented. They do have a small outdoor dining area, and is on the East side of the building so not in the hot sun. Attractive décor and the bar is nicely separated from the dining area. "

  • "At last Scottsdale has a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. The food was beautiful, presentation was outstanding and the taste...out of this world. Service was remarkable and oh so friendly. We live in Scottsdale full time and "Naya" has become one of our new "favorites". I can't tell you to try "this or that" on the menu since everything we ate was outstanding. You cannot go wrong. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!"

  • "The food was outstanding. We ordered a beef dish, a chicken dish and an Armenian dish. Each dish had it's own distinct flavor which we all enjoyed. The entrees were large enough that 2 of us took home half of our dish. We had an appetizer that had a little taste of several dishes, hummus, olives, grape leaves etc. We enjoyed it all. We ate our left overs the next day and they were as delicious the second time around. The restaurant is beautiful ----done very tastefully."

  • "Good food. Some entrees pricier than other local Mediterranean restaurants. Attentive service. Large group/wedding rehearsal dinner party(?) while we were there. I guess they didn't fit in the private rooms. Would have liked to have known that they were going to be there when we made our reservation earlier in the week. Detracted from our experience. "

  • "Too noisy. Quality of food disappointing. Hardly Mediterranean but Lebanese dessert good. Wine service not up to acceptable level. Would not return"

  • "It was overall a great experience. The staff was very professional and the food was also very good. Would definitely visit again."

  • "Excellent fatoush. Scallops are divine. The ground beef kabob tasted like it came right off a grill."

  • "Excellent food, service and interior. Music noise level could was a little harsh."

  • "Very pleasant surprise - by not having stereotypical music and decor that is commonly associated with Mediterranean food. Contemporary decor combined with tasty food and wonderful service made this restaurant a "returner". The only slight negative was that the servings were on the minimal side - such as the hummus and pita bread. But, we will return!"

  • "Pretty lame. Too dark, too loud. Food was terible. Never again."

  • "The food is good. It's a little pricey. Nothing I would go out of my way for."

  • "The food was great, the service excellent and the ambiance was lovely. I don't usually like rice but however they prepare their rice, it was excellent. Tony, our waiter was appropriately friendly, informative about the wine and food and helped to make our experience very enjoyable. We felt we received very good value for our money. We will definitely recommend Naya to our friends."

  • "The entire experience from food to service was ok, but nothing to write home about. The food is middle eastern, and very expensive. For three of us, we all had the shish tawook, a meza platter app, and a middle-of-the road bottle of wine for $120!!!!! I'm sure this is reflective of the location, but the food was not exceptional nor worth the high price. Also, the service was ho-hum. The waitress was not very attentive; although, the manager and other staff were very friendly. It wasn't a bad experience, but I probably will not return. We love middle eastern food, and this just isn't worth it! I hate the high turnover of the restaurants in this location and want to support them so badly!"

  • "Authentic, very good Lebanese food and Ksara wines. Arizona is not generally the place for ethnic food, but Naya is the exception - the best addition to the Valley since Soi4. [Fair warning - the Mousaka is terrible; everything else is great]"

  • "As soon as we entered the restaurant we knew we had found a gem. My husband is Egyptian so eating Mediterranean food is something we do quite often and we are very picky about it. We had a party of four and to start we each ordered the Mezza plate which had wonderful delights for us to enjoy. The Hummus, Babaganoush and Grape Leaves were a yummy adventure. It also came with pickled beats which my husband loves because they remind him of home, along with some wonderful olives and carrots. For our main course we had the lamb chops, mixed grill and salmon. Everything was wonderful. All in all, an absolutely lovely evening of relaxing with friends, enjoying good food and excellent service from Tony. Enjoy!!!!!!! Strongly Recommended!!"

  • "This restaurant is lovely ..has been many other restaurant a ..hope this one makes it. Food was very good..a belly dancer with a very funny personality. My only criticism. Is that the patio has very little ambiance and not the proper lighting..definitely needs improvement ..but would definitely recommend the restaurant."

  • "We had a pretty bad experience here. Food was very disappointing, bland and very ordinary. Wine by the glass, expensive. Decor of resteraunt pleasant , not a lot changed from the previous owners. There was a belly dancer which was definately not our thing during dinner. Music, very loud during this , so no chance to converse with dinner guests. Really would not go again."

  • "this was my first time here and I just loved the food. I am from out of town, but I will be back! Also, they had my favorite Sauvignon Blanc on the menu. Wahoo!"

  • "Had a recommendation from a friend who had gone so we figured we would try it. The food was good but not great. The portions were small for the price and not well presented. Maybe try it for happy hour but otherwise I would not rush out to the restaurant."

  • "It's nice to have a good Greek/Lebanese restaurant in Scottsdale finally. The menu is limited but has several classic Mediterranean dishes and a great wine list."
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "Ambience was lovely. Food was good, not exceptional. We had the mixed appetizer plate (we were 4 people). The amount of babaganoush on it was incredibly small. There was probably 1 teaspoon for all of us to share. We said something to the waiter and he did bring more. Would I come back. Not sure."

  • "the resturant occupied the space that was once BLOOM. We started out with the hummus appetizer which was very good. After that the dining experience was lacking. My husband ordered the mousakka which was unconstructed and lacked appeal both to the eye and the palate. I ordered the mussells which were very small and the wine sauce was extremely salty. Staff was attentive but it does not make up for the poor dining experience."

  • "Great food service and restaurant the staff was very attentive."

  • "We decided to try the restaurant in spite of the mixed reviews. We found the food pretty decent (more kudos goes to the appetizers, while the entrees were just ok). Our waiter was very good, but the hostess (tall blond) was clueless. She made us wait even though our table was ready, but instead she was more interested in having her picture taken by a photographer. Not very professional. It took another hostess to notice we were standing there and asked if we were being helped."

  • "This was our first time visiting and it also happened to be their grand opeing night. There was a very lively crowd in the bar, but as you make your way to the back it becomes a calmer, but still fun, restaurant. We had our 2 year old with us, and they were more athn accomodating. Our server was slammed, and still didn't miss a beat. The food was awesome and the prices were right. We will definitely be back for more!"

  • "We were there "grand opening" night. Not surprisingly, things were a bit hectic. They have a friendly, energetic staff and I expect that they will iron-out the kinks fairly quickly. We were familiar with Chef Hamati at Cafe Bistro and were looking forward to the way he prepares and presents food. We were not disappointed and will definitely return."

  • "Seven of us enjoyed dinner onFeb18,2014. We shared hot and cold appetizers before our main choices. Every one of us found our dishes a nice fresh take on traditional Mediterranean cuisine. We finished by sharing three of the dessert choices which we found to be tasty and just the right finish to a lovely meal."

  • "One of us liked her food, one did not. Service was slow but they were really busy. Our server just seemed distracted the whole time. The musician inside playing jazz was very good."

  • "Many new restaurant issues with service. Food was good and tasty, service friendly, but service levels were very lacking for this type of experience."
