We occasionally come here for celebrations, and we never had a bad experience. Restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests this time. Benny, our server made our dining experience enjoyable. It seems like the quality of the food was even better this time than before.

We came here for breakfast on my husband's birthday and did not know what to expect going into it. The view was spectacular, the buffet was outstanding, and I ordered Eggs Benedict - probably the best I have had. We had our two year old son with us and he ate for free, which is always nice. Our server, Maria was great too! Very friendly and helpful. She even brought out muffins with a candle and had some of the staff sing happy birthday to my husband. We will be going back!

The food was very good with the seafood tasting so fresh. I must say though what really stood out was the service inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The service was unbelievably nice and friendly without feeling pretentious. Great experience!

This first of class Sunday brunch spot at over $100 per person was not supposed to be cheap and it wasn't. At that price point I would have hoped to have seen mimosas included. (drinks were on average $17 each.) An additional $10 for parking can make the experience clock in over $300 for two. Good yes, that good.... hmm, not so sure.

Seemed that everyone around us was celebrating a special birthday. Of course it is the kind of place to go when you want to indulge and feel special and that is what we wanted for my mom for her 60th birthday. Foodies paradise, everything you would want to eat or try. Encourage those who are adventurous with food, not worth the price for picky eaters! If you love to dine well, this is the place to go to show someone you love that you really love them!

Navio's brunch is epic. In scope, scale, quality, choices, and presentation. It is the place to take visitors to impress and for celebrating grand moments. It's also the place to pace yourself and try bits of everything. The caviar and fresh sushi bar are always a hit. The traditional bfast favorites are all awesome. And the made to order deserts are stunning. Simply the best.

Appetizers....A+ (especially the octopus, Entrée - C (felt we could have had these anywhere so would say overpriced even given the views), the service was the big let down....i though hostess was great and most of the staff was better than average....the waiter was where things fell apart - big lapses in service (i.e. - 15 minutes went by between dessert menu and asking us if we wanted anything)....we went there for breakfast twice during this visit and were very impressed...

The food was awful! We were there to celebrate a special occasion and were really disappointed in the terrible food! The ambience was fine, and the service was acceptable, but both of our meals left a lot to be desired. At a high end restaurant we were really surprised.

Food quality, preparation and presentation were excellent. Don't miss the egg and lobster appetizer. The oyster varietals were fresh and priced the same as lesser venues. We had bronzino and cod, both prepared to perfection. The puree potatoes are a side dish well worth ordering. Our wait staff made helpful suggestions, were attentive but not intrusive, warm and friendly. People like to dress up for this restaurant. You can't go wrong with any of the desserts. The ocean view and sunset created an inviting space. Definitely worth the drive from Oakland.

Very disappointed. The salmon was overcooked and dry and my husband ordered the steak medium and it came medium well. For the price they charge..no excuse. Also, we were never charged for parking before but this time there was a $10 charge added to our bill..what was a slap in the face.

The Navio ambience is beautiful, no doubt. But, honestly... disappointed in the food. The price being it is, I surely wouldn't have minded it if the food was 5 Stars but it wasn't. The sushi did not look fresh; lacked the vibrant color it has with fresh fish and the dim sum was below average. Variety of everything else was okay. I expected to be really impressed but wasn't. The best was the presentation of desserts. Service was great. Had planned on taking my family back for birthday lunch celebration the following weekend but I cancelled.

It's a shame that neither the food nor the service come remotely close to matching the spectacular setting and natural scenery outside the windows of this attractive room. Unfortunately, the service is indifferent and the wait staff lacking in familiarity with the menu or the ability to help guide the curious customer. When our waiter came around (which was infrequently), he was unable to answer basic questions about the menu and then slow to clear items from the table when unused (e.g., the wine list long after ordering, which was a problem given the oversize wine card occupying the bulk of the table). The kitchen seems equally indifferent. And cocktails at $17.50?! The views are terrific, but the rest is unworthy and no value.

We were unable to get a table for early evening so we took the next available seating. We arrived at 8:30 pm for our 9:30 pm reservation to sit in the bar area for cocktails. The host asked if we would like to eat earlier and we agreed. We were seated and from then on the dining experience was as expected. Our drink order was promptly taken and appetizers were ordered. Both were served in a timely fashion and adequate time was given between courses. Food was superb and the waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The service, food and overall experience was outstanding. I'm sure the view is outstanding when seating is available during daylight hours but we did a last minute reservation and still managed to have a very nice evening.

The setting of this restaurant is beautiful, on the Pacific Ocean with breathtaking views. The restaurant honored my request for a window table, which I appreciated. All of the cuisine is delicious and there is a great selection. Top items were rack of lamb and prime rib. The restaurant was crowded and the tables right next to each other. There is not a great deal of space around the buffet tables. Let the guest beware that unlike other expensive brunches, champagne is not included here, so prepare to be gouged for $17 per glass if you order it. One would think that the most expensive brunch in the country, $105 per person, would include champagne. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth despite the wonderful food.

2 and a half hours to eat the meal because the server was so slow and would disappear for long periods of time. Even had to ask for the check and we waited at least 30 minutes before she appeared to take our order. Very expensive which we knew before we made the reservation for a special occasion... High fog and it would have been nice to be there on a clear sunny afternoon and early evening. Would NOT eat there again as there are equivalent restaurants (without the great view) in the San Jose area that are perhaps half to 2/3 the cost and serve just as good or better food.

How does a restaurant that takes reservations not plan accordingly to make sure the kitchen is stocked with everything they have on the menu? They were out of 3 of the 5 seafood entrees on the menu and one of the appetizers. I ended up getting the filet mignon, which was nothing special. Overall, Navio was a huge disappointment.

Overall very good. The view alone is worth the price of admission. Food was 3.5 out of 5 stars - quite good. Service was very friendly, and overall competent. They seem to know very little about beer. I had to send it back twice, and they ultimately did not have the beer listed on the menu. Otherwise, given the outstanding ocean and golf course view, it balanced out to a very enjoyable time.

Food was incredible. Had dinner on sat night and the bass was amazing. My wife's filet, outstanding. Had the brunch on Sunday and again the food was incredible. The service was impeccable. Just simply outstanding. If I could offer a critical comment it would be the following. $17 for a cocktail is outrageous. This is fairly standard. Just blown away by that cost. Brunch price at $100 per is over the top as well. Simply impossible to eat that much food. We enjoyed our time but would I pay that much again, I doubt I would.

A little disappointed in lunch menu, which changed after prior chef Sean Eastwood left about two months ago (as we found out on arrival). Food seemed to lack the subtle flavorings we appreciated in past (e.g., the brioche grilled cheese - sublime). Also, didn't leave the carafe of coffee on table as previously (same price, though).

The service and ambiance were fantastic. The food, while good, varied between 4 and 5 stars. The soup and appetizers were top notch, some of the best oysters I've had, and the dessert was a work of art. The main courses were the weakest link. My scallops were cooked perfectly, but the overall portion size was somewhat small. My wife ordered the short rib which didn't quite live up to it's billing. Admittedly, that is a signature dish at a local eatery near our home, so the bar was set pretty high. Overall though, I would recommend Navio.
