  • "My family of five took advantage of the 30 doller special on a (730 pm)friday night. My family had a great dining experience due to our Male waiter (i am sorry his name slipped my mind) and a friendly and informative lady who presented our wine. the service was great..but i wish they had more selection in the salad bar like more fruits ..."

  • "Celebrated my mom's 83rd birthday. She picked Ihilani, because of the ad in Midweek, with the $30 special of Prime Rib, fish or chicken, salad bar and $5 bottle of wine. We had a great time. Food was great. Prime Rib was medium rare, Onaga was perfect, and the $5 bottle of wine was a Chateau St Michelle, Chardonnay, 2013. Our server was top notch and they gave my mom a Macadamia Nut pie/tart with candle. The salad bar had a good selection, soup du jour was clam chowder and a wonderful bread bar with 6 different toppings. We also enjoyed looking at the sharks and sting rays in the hotel's huge aquarium. Free 3 hour parking with validation. We will be back."

  • "My husband and I had a wonderful sunset dinner on a Friday night. We arrived early, but we were seated right away without having to wait. We both ordered the prime rib which was flavorful and juicy. This was part of a special promotion that came with a soup and salad bar and an excellent bottle of wine all for a grand total of $65 for both dinners. We asked for an outside table and were seated next to the shark pond overlooking the pool and the coast line- a very romantic setting. Our server Tony was very attentive and friendly, and the dining room supervisor came by each table to make sure customers were happy. All in all a super experience- well worth the painful drive through rush hour traffic."

  • "I haven't been back to Naupaka's Saturday night Seafood buffet in a year or so & it's gotten an upgrade for sure! King crab legs instead of snow crab. WOOHOO!!! Happy that we got to sit in Scott's section again & received top notch service. He's the BEST! Prime rib was tasty & I can't stay away from the bread/cheese station! I know my uncle was very happy & I look forward to going again soon."

  • "Headed out to the JW Marriott for a dinner with the family. This restaurant has always delivered on food. Had a prime rib special and it was excellent. The salad bar was awesome Our server was great, and did a good job of checking up on us. We only had one issue with being seated. Happens a lot here (third time!) Took out the stroller in hopes our 1 year old would sleep during the meal. They saw the stroller, had us wait for a while more, but STILL put us in this corner in an area not very friendly to the stroller! The hostess' suggestion was to carry the stroller together. STUPID! Pretty annoying."

  • "Had high expectations for a JW Marriott restaurant, but the food at this seafood buffet was barely adequate. $145.00 for 2 , we should have been raving about how delicious it was, but sadly it was just the opposite. Everything, including the desserts simply had no flavor...very bland."

  • "The restaurant wasn't full, but was seated near the exit. Although the server was very nice and accomodating, I think we were overlooked many times (refills on drinks, water) since we were seated in the corner. There was 7 of us so we all observed it. Been dining at Naupaka for years. Brought along 5 other guests (1st visit) and it was a birthday, although they didn't complain about the food, they noticed that the service was slow. One of the servers even spilled water in one our guests and on the floor. Did not even bother to wipe the floor. Food got better, service not too good anymore especially with the price we had to pay. I probably won'get a reply, but hope you get better service."

  • "Disappointing, especially on V-Day. First, when booking on-line, rsvtn time showed the earliest dinner rsvtn at 9:00 p.m. but when we arrived at 8:15 p.m., the restaurant was not even full & were seated right away. The hostess taking note of our on-line request seated us overlooking the pool. The food was average in taste, but VERY disappointing that the crab was SUPER salty..I could not eat it. For many of us, the crab dish is basically 1/3 of what we eat price wise. When sharing concern w/2 hostesses, they said they will let the chef know, but did not even offer anything in return or tempt to discount our meals. The poke was soft & one of the salad dishes were very welt. Makino Chaya 5 min away would have been a better selection!"

  • "The was decent, not the best but very enjoyable. The king crab legs were awesome and the poke was very good with their salad bar. The dessert could of been better but the main dishes were good. The price was a little high at $62 buffet but no complaints."

  • "Reluctant to try their dinner buffet, but with the array of seafood listed along with the buffet price, "Why not, it's a steal!" Have to admit I was wrong. The dinner buffet seafood selection was tasty and bountiful, especially the Shoyu Poki. Customer service both the front desk and our waiter was top notch. Making reservations through OpenTable is always a convenience. Thank you Open Table for your services."

  • "The food was very good, excellent appetizers at the Sea food Buffet Sat. night. But it was expensive and the view of the pool did not take advantage of the ocean front location. We booked with a special anniversayry dinnder with no metion of benefit, but the appetizer and excellent service made up for it."

  • "It was on my insistence that my friends and I dine at the Naupaka Terrace since I love the menu. We were delighted by the fresh, delectable salad bar, including my favorite -- the kale salad...so flavorful and pretty. The fresh beets and pesto pasta/ tender green bean salad were also winners! The minestrone soup was rich and hearty and we enjoyed the breads and spreads as well. For our entrees, I relished my Hukilau seafood pasta of perfectly balanced garlic and lemon linguine with lots and lots of seafood. One friend ordered the lamb -- tender and excellently seasoned. My other friend ordered the rib eye steak and he polished off the entire steak! The banana dessert was sweet and heavenly. The service was outstanding; we made friends!"

  • "Great tasting food with variety of main entres, needs more dessert varieties & salads...Loved the location & ambiance, but this year there were lots of little children running around which wasnt the case last year...Dangerous for anyone trying to carry their plates to their tables with the little kiddies running all over...kind of sad that the parents of these children didnt help situation & let them run all over the place...even behind our table...We still enjoyed ourselves, but scared for the senior citizens who were in r party who had a hard time getting to & from the buffet lines with out the children running in front of them or around them...the service was great as usual & hospitality..."

  • "Overall, we had a pleasant Christmas dinner. Our table was outside the restaurant; despite the distance from the food, we had better ambient light and less noise in our area. The service was excellent and the wait staff was attentive. This was not worth the price ($60 per person). The range of selection was fine, but the quality of the food was not so great (e.g., carving station meats were dry, crab legs were rubbery). I did like the fresh raw oysters, and I don't know of another local buffet that offers that on a buffet line. The desserts were great along with the hotel's signature short ribs. If we go again next year, we'll remember what to skip and that we are paying for the resort atmosphere."

  • "We ate here two out of three nights. The sunset dinner is priced great with an all you can eat soup and salad bar. The fish is fresh everyday and it's the choice of the chef so don't expect to know before 4 p.m. But definitely worth the wait. Our waiter Scot was a gem, perfect in every respect. This is part of the JWMarriott and has beautiful views of the ocean and large fish tank with sharks and other fish swimming around. Can't wait to return again"

  • "My husband absolutely loves this restaurant because of it's all you can eat king/snow crab legs. We have eaten here many times. This time was particularly good especially the prime rib. The food options are really good; the salads are great, the clam chowder is good, the steamers are really good and I loved the pasta. The only thing I think could be better are the deserts. The flan is very heavy and the chocolate fountain continually runs out of dipping items and some of the dipping items are stale from the salt air. I think it's time for a revamp of the deserts. Maybe something local like coconut flan or a nice macadamia nut tart."
