Diner Reviews
  • "We arrived atop a hill overlooking scenic harbor in Camden. The dining room was lovely with a sweeping view and charming red and white décor. The service was very attentive and accommodating. The food was very tasty and there was a nice variety. We would have liked to have had a little more choice in the pastry selection for dessert. Otherwise a lovely brunch and much charm."

  • "Couldn't have been more happy with the service, the food and the entire overall experience. It created a wonderful birthday memory for my wife. She commented the next day that it was probably the single best dining experience that she has had. We have been to some pretty nice places in our time and I would tend to agree with my wife, this was probably at the top of the list."

  • "The parking was tricky but once in the atmosphere was warmly elegant, with exquisite service, and phenomenal food and drink pairings. As a party of three, we were initially seated in a lovely seating cluster in the lounge before moving to the main dining-room. We all had different menu selections and the visiting mixologist both entertained and educated us with his respectfully dramatic explanations of what and why he chose our alcohol pairings. The evening was like a subtle gourmet dinner theater and we unknowingly held center stage in all 5 acts! The servers were perfectly synchronized with our personal dining pace allowing us to actively socialize while enjoying our meal. This was not an inexpensive evening but worth every penny!"

  • "It was one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life. My husband and I enjoyed the entire time of the meal. Not jst good was good, but service also unbelievable. We will go back there again."

  • "Natalie's is as fabulous as advertised and they made these two novice foodies feel right at home. We had the lobster tasting and I'm pretty old fashioned about my lobster but we were thrilled with every bite. And the dessert was beyond incredible."

  • "Natalie's is a restaurant you go to for special occasions. Each menu choice was coursed between 5 and 7. My wife and I went with the 5 course lobster special. We knew that we would be enjoying our meals over a three hour period but that it would be reloaded. Everything was perfect! Great food, wine and service."

  • "Stayed in Camden Maine for our anniversary, this was like a big city restaurant with excellent food and wine. Definitely a great find for a romantic setting and fab views. They have a pairing wine dinner a little $$ but we'll worth it."

  • "After an hour’s drive on icy roads, we walked into a cozy scene with a blazing fire and a great looking bar. We vaguely regretted that we were not going to eat there. The dining room was lovely, too, the wine list was good, and we chose the seven course-tasting menu. We especially enjoyed the gnocchi with mushrooms in a rich sauce and freshly shaved black truffles and the lobster tail on bok choy leaves with a blood orange sauce. Dessert was a beautifully arranged plate of little Dutch pancakes called “poffertjes” with a smoked maple ice cream. All in all the presentation, blending of flavors, and relaxed pace of our meal was enhanced by the wait staff’s attention to detail and the precision with which the chefs presented each plate."

  • "We dined at Natalie's on New Year's Eve and what a remarkable night it was! It was a special 'gala' event with live jazz, sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and a delectable 8-course tasting menu. Festive and impeccable from start to finish. HIGHLY recommend to any and all who truly appreciate fantastic food! As an aside, I highly recommend staying at the Camden Harbour Inn, too! (Natalie's is located here......)"

  • "We celebrated our anniversary, which falls on Christmas Eve, at Natalie's because we are new to the area, we live close by, and we were told it was a great place for special occasions. It was a wonderful evening. We both selected the 7 course menu which was possibly too ambitious as we were feeling well satisfied by course 5, but every plate was creative and delicious. The service was excellent and all the servers very knowledgeable. They knew our name and, when we departed, they had our coats ready and waiting for us - a nice touch. We would definitely recommend Natalie's to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in a lovely setting."

  • "Natalie's has a prix fixe menu, and 2 tasting menus- we chose the prix fix, as it had fewer dishes, and we were not that hungry. However, somehow our 3 dishes turned into 7, with the intermezzos, and 8 if you include the little lagniappe box of sweets they gave us for later. Each dish was beautifully prepared and served- we are not great foodies, but have traveled a bit and eaten well, and this ranks as one of our top 10 meals. It is hard to recommend one dish; all were good to excellent.. This is not a fast food experience- leave about 2 hours, at least. There is a wine pairing menu, and a la carte selections, as well as a full bar- but we really don't drink so I can't speak to that. Decor is modern, yet warm. It was lovely overall."

  • "I like the local food sourcing they do and they take good care of you. The staff are very familiar with the food. They do tend to buzz around a bit, but they are really quite good at little details."

  • "Great view of Camden Harbor, wonderful place for a special meal with a special someone. My wife and I ate there while on a romantic weekend - trying to sampling the best food in the area. We had the 8-course tasting menu along with the accompanying wine menu. The amuse-bouche and the main entree of veal were the best. The other courses were OK - but not distinctive. The wine and especially the wine steward were great. He loved his wine and loved to tell us about it. $100 for the food and $100 for the wine per person. Your mileage may vary. Happy we went, but probably would not go back."

  • "Our dining experience was flawless. Ambience, food and service was impeccable. Fine dining, but not stuffy. Pricey, but worth it."
    Dined on 10/12/2013
  • "First, the service was excellent but the amount of food is extremely small for all courses. The entree, for example, was a three bite affair....three bites and it's gone! Huge plates...microscopic portions. The preliminary courses were equally tiny. The food was tasty but "average" and extremely expensive. One drink was $22...scotch (not a "double" either!) We left feeling hungry...which is something that has never happened before...especially after paying a bill that was north of $300 for three people. On the whole, we all thought that the experience was over-rated, unjustifiably expensive and disappointing. There are other restaurants in the area with an equal (or lower) price point, better food and an overall better experience."

  • "Exceptional evening at Natalie's. Relaxing, individual attention and well-paced. Each unique dish and the mid-courses were flavorful and carefully prepared. Presentation added to an overall experience that was superb."

  • "This is "THE" gourmet place in town and it does have wonderful food and ambiance. It seemed to us, however, to be just a bit too self-conscious about building and maintaining its stature. Service could be improved by just lightening up a bit."

  • "This was one time internet reviews and Open Table really paid off. I just asked SIRI for expensive restaurants in the Camden ,ME area. Up came Natalie's with a few others. Not a low priced restaurant ,the bill for two was around $300.00 all included tips etc. Could have been higher if we ordered wine by the bottle.. The service is impeccable. The wait staff is well trained and knew every ingredient and method of preparation of the food. Food is well above average ,works of art ! Portions are balanced so that one can enjoy all courses that are included in their $68.00 per person menu or their $98.00 per person menu. Not being regular 4 to 5 star diners we were unfamiliar with some items on the menu. A most excellent evening!"

  • "Do not be misled into going to the generic restaurants on the main drag or the waterfront. If you are staying within driving distance of Camden for two or more days, make sure you eat at Natalie's at least twice: one for the Chef's menu and one for a la carte. Clearly, the new chef has picked up from where the previous one left and incorporated his own identity into the restaurant. Service is highly professional without being stuffy and the wine list offers many choices to complement the food. One of the best restaurants we have eaten in Maine and in the USA. Kudos to the owners of the Inn as well for maintaining such high standards..."
