Nasher CafePretty DecentWe had soup and sandwiches, it was pretty tasty. The service was good enough, the atmosphere good. Not bad.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentI had my brother visiting from out of the country and thought it would be a good choice. It turned out to be excellent. Good food, scenic, good ambience, excellent live singing, excellent service from the two waitresses and waiter.....and reasonable prices. Quite impressive. Will return.
My daughter dropped her fork and believe me, in a minute, the waitress was there with a replacement for her.......no exaggeration.
I guess I had to keep repeating the word "excellent" in my review.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMfood was very good. We almostfood was very good. We almost missed the chance to order as they closed the kitchen at the time of our reservation. Open Table and their website had incorrect info about serving times. They did serve us, but was not the most pleasant greeting.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent for lunch with a friendThe Nasher Cafe had the right blend of good luncheon food, atmosphere and service to make it spot on for lunch with an old friend I don't see very often. We talked for quite a while, but never did we feel rushed.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMnasher for lunchi'm a local and a first timer! met a friend for lunch. what a great setting. even better if you can get a parking space close to the museum! there is definitely extraneous noise due to open setting/music/ tours/ but nice wines and a general relief from eating in a typical restaurant setting. imagine this would be perfect beginning or end to seeing exhibit. recommend!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, great locationDelicious food, great location and ambiance and music.
The service wasn't bad; there were just a lot of different waiters doing different things, and we weren't sure who to tip...4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch spotIt's a very nice place for lunch, especially if you're visiting the Nasher Museum -- but even worth it if you're not seeing an art exhibit. Menu is interesting and selections are well-prepared.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNasher is a favorite spotNasher is a favorite spot for me as a Duke student! Had another great experience this weekend- went with the Veggie Benedict, which was great, except the eggs were overcooked :/ But I'll let it slide because I rarely have qualms about Nasher food! Also, nothing beats sitting outside on a beautiful North Carolina day. Service can be slow--was especially frustrating this time since we were the first to be seated and nearly the last to get our food, it seemed, but if you're okay with a leisurely Sunday morning brunch, the rest of the experience outweighs this con.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent. I had a wonderful asian salad. But the place is noisy, difficult to have a conversation.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for lunch whenGreat place for lunch when in Durham. Great salads! Don't miss a chance to see the museum!3/5/2013 12:00:00 AMalways a great place for lunchalways a great place for lunch after or before seeing the art....outstanding food12/22/2012 12:00:00 AM
