Napa Restaurant - Peabody Hotel OrlandoWe Love to Eat at NapaWe loved the Napa Restaurant as it reminded us of home in northern California with the local produce (salads were great) and fish. The whole fried Yellow Tail Snapper was delicious.

The service was VERY slow and it took almost 20 min for him to get a 2nd bottle of wine during the meal so we canceled it. The waiter recited the specials and commented on almost every choice they offer. The only reason I rated it overall Very Good as opposed to Outstanding is because too many items on the menu contained meat that could not be removed on request. That lowered my evaluation for two reasons: 1) a lot of items are pre-prepared and in my experience, true 5 star restaurants make most items to order and 2) the restaurant advertises as having a menu based on sustainable ethics. I don't think it's a sustainable ethics for animal products to be pre-prepared into dishes. The scallops were excellent, and the filet was melt in your mouth wonderful. Hard decision to choose from the many top notch wines. Service very pleasant and professional, but could have been a bit quicker/more attentive between courses. The dark choclate tart was to die for. The salads are huge, and the spring pea soup was delicious. We go there as often as we can because we love the food and the service. Everyone there is very accomodating and helpful. The food is fresh, delicious and the menu changes but there are some specialty dishes that are always on the menu. They are dishes that you should try...chippino and the butternut squash soup! I love the California feel cuisine, and always love a good farm to table restaurant.
