Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I really enjoyed our evening. The food was great and the environment was romantic. Service was very attentive. I'm from NYC and I thought the price were a bit high but this seams to be one of the nicer places to eat in downtown Greenville."

  • "Best Service in downtown Greenville Great option if seeing a show at the peace center"

  • "My first time, I was really pleased with service and excellent Food! It may be a little pricy but you get what you pay for and I Was telling my wife I rather pay more and have a good experience Dining than paying less for something you really don't enjoy. We will Be back again. Thanks"

  • "The wait staff were impolite and haughty. The wine list was not up to date. (Listing wines incorrectly or not available). The wait staff were unapologic about the problems. We will not be going back."

  • "Excellent experience!! The service and food were both outstanding. And the surprise birthday dessert really topped off a great meal! The crème brulee was a hit."

  • "By Far The Best Brunch We Have Had In Greenville, Service Was Excellent. Thank You Pam For Making Sure Our Dinning Experience Was Superb, You Made The Birthday Boy`s Day Extra Special."

  • "My wife's sister and her husband were in town visiting his relations and we wanted to have lunch with them while they were here. Nantucket was the perfect place to have very good food and nice ambiance for a close, personal visit. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was the best, I say again, the best! Don't hesitate to try Nantucket, moderate prices make it affordable."

  • "This evening was to celebrate our anniversary and Nantucket's was a perfect choice for this celebration. From the time we entered the restaurant to a greeting of Happy Anniversary to a special drink brought to our table and our meal everything was outstanding. Our server was Terrell and he was wonderful - so accommodating and very knowledge about the menu. We would recommend asking to be seated in his section. Thanks, Terrell for a very special evening!"

  • "We had a lovely evening celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary at the Nantucket Seafood Grille."

  • "The staff, atmosphere, and experience was wonderful. The food was excellent. The only 2 notable points I would make that were not above and beyond expectation was the appetizer. The fried lobster puffs did not have much taste other than fried. Too much breading and too deep fried to taste the lobster. For the price it was a bit disappointing. The pie crust was also disappointing. You essentially needed a knife to cut through it. But the pie itself was excellent!"

  • "Probably the best Seafood restaurant that I have eaten at in the Greenville area. Oysters and Mussels were a cut above as was the Baked Lobster and the Trout...............Creme Brulee was creamy and rounded out the dinner..........."

  • "We were looking for something special and memorable and certainly found it. Super wine list that was affordable. Fried oysters were outstanding as a starter, blackened tuna and seared sea scallops were both top notch choices along with the grilled asparagus. Service was the best and most knowlegable and helpful. If you dare the chocolate deserts were wonderful but plan to share, they are HUGE."

  • "Had a wonderful time with delicious drinks and meal. Oysters and mussels to start. Mussels app is huge. Yellowfin and scallops for the entrée, both were fresh and well prepared. We are in Greenville maybe once a year and this place has now made or must do list when in town."

  • "Everything from start to finish was perfect! The seafood tower, the brie salad, fried green tomatoes & bread pudding ALL Amazing! Sunday evening was quiet and not crowded, we will go back SOON!"

  • "First of all, our waiter Frank was superb and we received outstanding service from everyone who served us. The New England clam chowder was good but too salty. The fresh bread was served hot and tasted delicious. The filet was not as done as well as we would have liked. However, the quality, flavor & seasoning on the steak was good . The 1 pound lobster stuffed with crab meat was not as tender as it should have been. I expect melt in your mouth lobster at a place like this. The crab meat part of the stuffed lobster was good. If you are going to charge a premium price you should deliver a premium product. This was our 2nd visit & we love the ambiance and service but the kitchen needs to work on delivering a consistent, high quality product."

  • "The restaurant I think is over rated in terms of its ambience--it appeared a little dated and in need of refreshing its decor. The service was respectable and the food although not the greatest presentation was fresh seafood and tasty."

  • "We have frequented Nantucket many times and enjoyed a special birthday celebration! Excellent cuisine and service...look forward to dining outside again as the weather warms."

  • "My wife and I booked reservations at Nantucket after a recommendation from a close personal friend. We drove up to Greenville to take in the revitalized downtown area. It was my wife's birthday evening and we were looking for a restaurant with great food, service, and ambiance. It was terrific. The food was great and the service was outstanding."

  • "Went to Nantucket for the second time and we were not disappointed. Great food, service and atmosphere. Try the scallops and the black grouper! This is definitely a special occasion place. Jonathon was our waiter and gave superior service as well as a decent joke. will go back next time we are in Greenville."

  • "This is an excellent restaurant. The scallop dish was perfectly prepared and the Hollandaise sauce was excellent, not too heavy and not over spiced. I would return."
    Dined on 3/22/2014
  • "Very good food, but we didn't like the fact we had to pay to park our car. When you pay $30+ for an entrée, parking should be free."

  • "Simply delicious! From appetizer to dessert, each course was perfect!"

  • "If you want to entertain some special guests or just have a special dinner with your spouse or significant other - this is the place. The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection - not overcooked like some restaurants are prone to do. There are also many unique items on menu which are worth trying. Wine selection is very good with good range of prices - low 40's and up. Waitstaff is very helpful and attentive. If you order wine, dinner, starters, and dessert, the meal will probably be $65-75/person but worth every penny for that special occasion."

  • "The food was wonderful and the ambiance was great. The waiter was very professional as well, but we were shocked by the long wait for our table (nearly an hour). We made a reservation for seven people at 9pm on a Friday evening. We got out of Jerry Seinfeld's standup at the theater across the street at 8:45pm. We got to the restaurant, checked in, and waited patiently. It took nearly an hour before we were finally seated, but the strangest part was that many of the tables in the restaurant were clean an empty! Why did they not seat us when they had so many open tables, and what exactly is the point of a reservation when you have to wait an hour for your table?!"

  • "I recommend highly the live main lobster, thermidor preparation. The creamy rich flavor is unmatched. The wine list is easily navigated on an ipad mini. If you're looking for elegant dining, and delicious food this is the place to go!"

  • "I live in England temporaily and could not wait to get back to Greenville to have crabcakes from Nantucket's!!! They did not disappoint. Wonderful... many other great things on the menu, just wanted the crabcakes since I had not found good ones in England!!"

  • "My husband and I had a reservation for 8pm. When we arrived at the hostess stand there were 3 girls, none of which had a clue about what was going on. Once one of them looked up, we were told it would be about a 5 minute wait. We were seated at 8:40pm! Once our waiter showed up ...about 5 minutes after we were seated we told him we had tickets to a 9:30pm show at the Peace Center and asked what the wait time would be for our food. He was kind enough to check with the kitchen and told us there were approximately 20 tickets ahead of us. Disappointed, we left since there was not enough time before our show to even get an appetizer. Evidently this restaurant can take a reservation, but they cannot hold the reservation!"

  • "A truly outstanding overall dining experience. RIck Erwin does a great job with a vast seafood menu, then delivers it with great service. A terrific choice for a special occasion."

  • "This place is very romantic. The layout is cozy, nice decor and lighting, and the background music is perfect! This and the magnificently prepared meal makes this my favorite place for a fine meal in Greenville!"

  • "We had tickets to a show and the hostess sat us 35 minutes later than our reservation which resulted in our not being able to order the entrees we wanted due to the time needed to prepare them. However, without havi g to complain, we found when our check arrived we had been comped for our inconvenience. Class act! It turned a "never coming back" to a "wow! Great customer service and will recommend". The food was incredable so no regrets on the order."

  • "My wife &I had friends come in from out of town to see Jerry Seinfeld at the Peace Center. They had read about Greenville being an emerging foodie city and the great downtown experience. Nantucket Seafood Grill was a natural choice for dinner since it's accross the street. Food was fantastic as always. Our group had grilled salmon, oysters, crab cakes, & steak. All were prepared to perfection. Our server (Gary) was possibly the best server I've had in 20 years. We highly recommend NSG."

  • "Everything was great except waitress seemed like she must have been very new to the job. In this case the service was adequate but nothing special. I've been to Nantucket a few other times and service was excellent. So I will definitely continue to patron Nantucket."

  • "This may just be the best dining experience in Greenville. I have never had anything there that I felt was merely adequate. Every dish I've ever had at Nantucket has blown me away! There are many other restaurants downtown in the same price range and with similar offerings but you'll never be disappointed at Nantucket. The food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing. The owner, Rick Erwin, even stopped by our table, personally, to ensure everything was to our satisfaction."

  • "We chose Nantucket for our anniversary dinner because of our previous experiences there. Great service, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The wait staff is very attentive, friendly and polite. I mentioned it was our anniversary in my reservation. I did not know what to expect, we felt special from the start as we were brought to a booth. We were welcomed with delightful champagne for all 4 of us. We received a Happy Anniversary card from the staff. Our dessert arrived with candles and Happy Anniversary cookies. The staff at Nantucket grill were charming and we indeed did feel as we had a special dinner. BTW, dinner was great, we had a variety from the menu. The favs were the shrimp and grits and the special."

  • "We walked in to inquire about a reservation since we couldn't locate this restaurant on opentable & with the HELP of Frank & the lovely hostess we were able to make a reservation for dinner at 7PM. This restaurant isn't on the main drag in downtown Greenville & I am elated we found this little gem. Frank mentioned he would personally take care of us for our dinner. I truly wish I was able to have more characters to write about Frank's top notch service &recommendations & food. The food was outstanding & the wine list is extensive but unintimidating. Dessert was amazing!! I had the Scallops and the huband had fish and the clam chowder -- all was out of this world! Presentation, price and taste all get 100+! you won't want to miss this one!"

  • "Overall the experience was very nice. Our service attendant got confused when we told him we were going to order one entry and a soup. He did not deliver soup thinking it was my wife's entry. When it was delivered it had no spoon to use, had to go ask for a spoon. We had surf & turf. The turf was good the surf was bland like it may have been under cooked."
