Naked Fish Japanese BistroLoved Naked FishWent before Jersey Boys and seated immediately. Very up beat staff. Excellent innovative sushi that even my sushi snob daughter thought was fabulous. Definitely pricey but made the evening special!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistant good foodLoved this place so much the first time we went back two more times after and will go back again. The Naked Fish is a clean well run restaurant with knowledgable staff that gave excellent reccomendations. The food was excellently prepared and brought to us in a timely manner. Personal favorites of course included the sushi rolls, lamb chop and hen of the wood mushroom tempura with a juice tempura dip that makes your mouth water. There are many other great small course options that will suit every taste need. We felt prices we very reasonable for the quality of food and overall dining experience. Make reservations and take advantage of the valet parking.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat placeFirst time eating there and definitely won't be our last. My wife and I went for our anniversary and loved it.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday fun!I came in from Philadelphia to see family on my birthday and so happy this is where they chose to take me. Loads of fun Nd delicious! Live music was nice and not too loud! We had a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate us.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressedI know my sushi, and never expected a restaurant in -Salt Lake City- to blow me away. They had prime cuts of yellowtail belly, when we visited. It was perhaps the best piece of nigiri I've had in years.
The only downsides to this place are: they don't have a great bar (but who does in SLC), and they could use some more luxury in the seating and tables. Least we had white table.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSidesExcellent ambiance and service but the sides were a reason to return. Creative, and well presented.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Sushi in SLCDecent little restaurant. Very good sushi. Service staff could give a little more guidance to first time patrons, more than just suggestions on rolls it would be good to give full direction to create a meal and an experience which is what I'm looking for at the price level charged.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome Japanese BistroWe had not been to Naked Fish for awhile, and the food and service were superb this visit, a clear step above even the former "leading" Japanese restaurant in Salt Lake. The sushi taste, texture and presentation was subtle, flavorful and a work of art. The starter calamari was exceptional, cooked to perfection. Our server was extremely helpful with advice when asked, and made sure we were served in a reasonable time with several flights of sushi even though the pace was packed and included several large groups. Altogether a superb, seamless evening in a beautiful physical setting.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA lovely dinner outThe sushi chefs are fascinating to watch at the sushi bar as they carefully make your rolls and other specialty dishes. The dining room was full but we were able to talk easily within our group. The sashimi was like butter - so delicious and fresh. The presentation was excellent as was the attention to detail.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is one of my favoriteThis is one of my favorite places in Salt Lake City. It is withing walking distance to Abravanel Hall and we love to have dinner before the concert at Naked Fish. The food is fantastic and beautifully presented.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMNot the same old thingIf you're looking to broaden your horizons then Naked Fish is a must-experience. Sure they have a fresh selection of sushi that is always delicious but their small plates offer many new flavors and textures that you should really try -- the seafood custard, the chicken wings, the tempura offerings offerings -- it's a delight to try them all.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe sashimi and nigiri wereThe sashimi and nigiri were excellent. The fish was very fresh. The prices for sashimi and nigiri were reasonable for the quality of fish. The liquor charges are high. We were seated at one of the worst tables in the restaurant for ambiance. Overall we enjoyed the restaurant very much.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolute gem of a restaurant!Excellent food, outstanding service by Ian, great atmosphere. They also have private tatami rooms which would be great for special occasions or small parties. We will return over and over!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNaked Fish Everywhere!!Excellent fish! Best in SLC. Spicy Gesha was brilliant. Playboy was fantastic. Will definitely be back!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a great place for aIt was a great place for a quick light appetizer before the ballet would like to try it for a full meal4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMUnusual sushi that I hadn'tUnusual sushi that I hadn't seen anyplace else. Exceptional service. Would go back in a heartbeat.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Naked Fish. It ISWe love Naked Fish. It IS our sushi restaurant. The service and food is always impeccable and fresh.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMquality and presentation werequality and presentation were top notch. we found this place after trying to go to the other sushi place downtown that was very unorganized and had poor hours. We would recommend this place over the other one just on the decor and menu offerings alone. Being a wine lover, I was pleasantly surprised at the fine by the glass selections.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, Naked Fish wasAs always, Naked Fish was delicious. Plus, they put up with our buffet style food sharing with ease.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMHard to imagine any better sushi...Recently rated the best sushi in SLC, its easy to understand why. The menu, while simple, is varied enough but not too exotic. Highlights include: the jellyfish shooter, perfectly crunchy with a sweet/sour vinagrette: double tuna maki (both inside and outside the roll); the salmon maki, good in its simplicity. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. This may not be the best sushi in SLC (having never eaten anywhere else with which to compare it) but it is hard to imagine any better.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyable. Friendly serviceVery enjoyable. Friendly service but not always efficient. The food was terrific and it is possible to try a few different items and share. Very fun!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
