Food was good, but not great. Waiter was rude and the service from him was awful. It was a good thing that we had a great busboy, or we would have never received anything. We wouldn't go back there ever.

a little unsettling when the hostess had no clue we had a reservation and didn't want to seat us even though the restaurant was not half full. I explained we were willing to wait a little to sit "inside" (nothing in our reservation said we had to state that). she was determined she culd not seat us. finally a man came over and after looking around decided he would seat us. he was upset I asked for Gil. We had talked earlier when I read in the notes one should ask about special menu. we finally got seated. the staff was new ? but basically very good. it was not busy. but large groups next to our table were loud and took up their time. Gil came by later( to each table). Lamb was fantastic..

Was unable to have a table outside because even with open table reservation they said it was not noted....I said it could not be noted on the open table reservation.....just as well because they now have a larger musical combo and the music is very loud and eating outside is now not an option. Will still return because the food is still excellent.

We have been going to Mythos since it opened years ago, and this time we invited new friends from out of town to join us, and were so disappointed with the service. We had to remind our waiter over and over for the same item we had ordered and it was just not a very enjoyable dining experience. The food was excellent, but the service puts a BIG damper on the evening.

We love Greek Food so we were excited to find a new restaurant. The hummus was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere. However the rest of our meal-calamari salad were forgettable. In addition, our waitress did not know the menu very well and the overall service was below average. We wanted to like Mythos but we will not be going back.

The ambiance was great. On the night we dined there there was even a belly dancer. This is a great neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Coral Springs but the food was nothing to rave about. The "Spinach Pie" appetizer was tasty but hinted at being microwaved. I had the lamb shank and Orzo, my niece had Chicken and Orzo-- Bland, bland bland. Perhaps my menu choices were off or the food is just flavorless and lack in presentation. Our waiter was attentive, the prices were reasonable, but if I EVER visit again, I stick to more basic dishes.

I have eaten at Mythos two or three times. This time, however, after ordering water while I waited for a friend to arrive, the waiter never brought it. When my friend arrived, a bus boy we flagged down took our drink and food order. We NEVER once had the waiter come back to the table, either to see how our food was or to even bring the check. The bus boy gave such excellent service, from giving menu advice to bringing us more wine and seeing how the meal was that we tipped HIM instead of the 'waiter' listed on our check.

We had dinner with friends on a Saturday night. If the guitar music had not been blasting so loud that we couldn't talk at the table, we would have had a more enjoyable time. It was so loud it was like eating at a concert and our request to have the amplifiers turned down was ignored. Also, we had ordered several appetizers and were still enjoying them when the waiter came and crowded our meals onto the table. The service should have been better timed so that we didn't feel so rushed.

Mythos is one of my favorite local restaurants. They have the best hummus I've ever tasted. They offer plenty of authentic Greek food, but also have options for those who aren't as adventurous. I had the pork Souvlaki last time I was there, and I have to say I prefer the chicken. Their main dishes are excellent, but the side dishes leave something to be desired. White rice and peas just doesn't do it for me. For the price, I would say it's excellent. If I paid any more money I would expect more. Also, they have the best chocolate mousse around. Since Chocolate Mousse is my favorite dessert, I feel I'm a pretty good judge of it. Although next time I'll ask them to skip the whipped cream on the top. It just gets in the way.

This was our 2nd visit to Mythos, but the first time sitting inside. Ambiance inside is not nearly the same as out. There is live music on patio and belly dancing too. Served complimentary pita and hummus-like dip which was tasty. Ordered whole snapper entree ($29) to share with my wife, which we asked to be filleted, but waiter misunderstood and didn't have kitchen do it. However, that's not what bothered me. The fact that my $29 entree was accompanied by frozen vegetables was just wrong. It was a delicious fish and it was cheapened by that. We almost and should have complained, but we didn't want to ruin our quiet evening out without the kids. May go back when weather is cooler so we could sit outside, but would order a bunch of

Mythos Greek Taverna 2864 N. University Drive Coral Springs, FL 33065 Dinner June 23, 2011 If you are looking for a Greek dinning experience with the ambiance of say, a Greek restaurant in Chicago’s Greek town, or a Greek restaurant by the water in downtown Tarpon Springs, do not come to Mythos Greek Taverna in Coral Springs, Florida. Except for a faux Greek signboard at the entrance of this restaurant, the décor is very nondescript. With its basic stained wood tables (no table cloths) and chairs, and minimal wall decorations, mostly framed mirrors, you could very well be sitting in a Chinese, Italian, or Continental American restaurant. I only saw one picture of a Greek scene hanging on the walls in the entire establishment. T
