Diner Reviews
  • "the place is beautiful, the employees are sympatic, the food is really good, the service is perfect."

  • "The food was good and atmosphere pleasant and it had an interesting physical layout. But it was really not deserving of all the hype."
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "We were looking for food that was not burgers and fries and this was a great spot for that! Food was very good and service was attentive. Highly recommend for people looking for better quality food in the park!"

  • "The Mythos signature burger is Awesome! All the food was great, our table and window by the waterfall were very nice. This was a nice lunch break on a hot day and a good birthday lunch for my 10 year old."
    Dined on 7/7/2014
  • "It was my first time having risotto so I'm not sure if it's customary to serve it in small portions. The flavors were amazing. However, I was underwhelmed with the portion size. I finished my dish within 5 minutes and had to buy another snack at another vendor."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "Chose Mythos for an anniversary dinner - first time visit. Food was excellent. Service was great. curtains were closed so view was blocked but all else was very nice."
    Dined on 7/9/2014
  • "The food was good, especially for a theme park restaurant. However, the service was very slow and we found ourselves constantly looking for our waiter for drink refills, entree delivery, etc. also, the hosts at check in counter we're not very friendly but it was busy so that's common in theme park restaurants."

  • "Dining at Mythos was the best overall dining experience my family and I had during our stay at Universal Studios. The decor makes it a special treat, the food was great (my son was so impressed), and the service was A+. Using Universal Dining Plan at Mythos was a breeze, but at some other places the service seemed to be sub-standard (was this because of the plan?)"

  • "Been here twice, and both times the food is good tasting!! Service is good, I would recommend this place."
    Dined on 9/13/2013
  • "The decor of this restaurant is fantastic. The food was very good, with a decent number of options. The establishment was clean and the staff was friendly. They appear organized, no long waits for good and the service was great."
    Dined on 7/3/2014
  • "The signature burger was by far the favorite item ordered. The Pad Thai and Blackened Fish Tacos were good, but not as delicious as expected."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "Overall a nice place to eat. It was a bit loud. Our waiter was fairly friendly. The food came out slow and had sat under the heat lamp. Had direct view of the food coming out."

  • "By far the best restaurant in universal. We ate here twice this past trip and will probably easy here even more next time."

  • "We had a great experience at Mythos! Our server was really nice, he was from Venezuela, and treat us so nice!"
    Dined on 7/2/2014
  • "We've been eating at Universal for over 10 years and never made it to this restaurant mainly because it wasn't a part if the meal deal. Now that the meal deal is gone, wi made reservations at Mythos. A fantastic food experience. Great price, gorgeous setting and delicious food."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "I thought Mythos was a Greek restaurant, but it had few Greek selections. I did however enjoy the crab cake sliders which appeared to have more of the crab (imitation?) than bread stuffing. It's a good sit down choice in an amusement park where everything is very overpriced!"
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "Had a great time! The food was great the atmosphere was great the staff was wonderful. We even got seated next to the window where we could see Hulk great view!!!"
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "The food was very good for a theme park. We had a great view of the water and park out the window from our table and we really enjoyed that. The food choices were great for adults but also our kids were taken care of as well. We waited about 10 minutes for a table and we had made reservations only a couple of weeks prior. We enjoyed giving Mythos a try and would made reservations for lunch there again on our next visit to Universal."

  • "The server mumbled through every interaction and we got the distinct impression we were not welcome. The menu didn't seem all that extensive but we ordered a soup and tempora. The soup was difficult to mess up but the tempora was deep fried sushi. How can you take something that's supposed to be delicate and healthy and make it so clumsy, heavy and gelatinous? Then the burger arrived, it literally slung in front of me. A plate of orange fried rubbish greeted me. This was supposed to be a 'signature' burger, but I would be embarrassed to get this level of quality from a truck stop. It was depressing. The sign outside proudly boasts best theme park restaurant for 6 years. This is either a lie or the mighty have fallen on very hard times."

  • "I really did not care for it . The décor was great. The food was unappealing. The lunch menu was small. I guess it was good for park food but for the price, I did not enjoy it"

  • "Great location inside the park, great service, excellent food and very clean open kitchen!! The best restaurant at Universal!!"

  • "What a beautiful restaurant and the food is good too. We booked this reservation months in advance and I'm glad we did. Everything we got was good."
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Service was very good. Food was only fair. Creamed brûlée was awful. The staff rearrange the furniture during the dinner hour making quite a racket."
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "We ordered 6 different menu items from kids pizza to beef medallions and ALL of it was FANTASTIC! I don't think we have ever gone to a restaurant and had everyone clear their plate!"
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Food quality and pricing aligned. The service and setting was nice."

  • "Food was good, too. It is so refreshing to have impeccable service. He was very busy but found time to make sure we had everything we needed. Gave very good descriptions of menu items and tons of help with the 9 and 14 yr olds selecting something they would love. Our food was fresh and delicious. The view was lovely, food was 4 star but the service was 5 STAR and then some!"

  • "The food was outstanding, many vegetarian options (by omitting meat from a lot of recipes), and a very attentive wait staff. He had the Pad Thai, she had the vegetarian pasta. Both were prepared to perfection. This restaurant will be on our "must do" list next time we are in Orlando."

  • "For a place that was voted best theme park restaurant for a number of years, I expected a bit more. In particular, for a place themed with Greek Mythology, I would have expected some nod towards the characters. With out the name you'd have no idea that this was based on Greek Mythology. The food was ok. It was very average. The prices we good - for a theme park. After having dined at other theme park "themed" restaurants, where they really sell the theme, I was just expecting something different."

  • "I got a specialty drink that came w/the glass. We left , forgot the glass and remembered it hours later. We returned explained what happened and the manager gave me a new glass. Thank- you!"

  • "We are a party of two adults and 3 teenagers. We visited on a really hot day in June for lunch, which was wonderful as it's a really cool, place to eat away from the hustle and bustle of the park. Mythos is a beautiful, unusual and mystic place to eat, it's like eating in a cavern with fountains and great views out over Universal Islands of Adventure. We had a brilliant server called Viktor who couldn't do enough to make our meal unforgettable. We felt the portion sizes on the burgers and fries were a bit small but the prices were very reasonable for a Theme Park Restaurant."

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed Mythos - we can see why it one so many awards over its lifespan. The theming and decoration are the best we've ever seen, and that alone made it a memorable experience. My wife and I enjoyed explaining the symbolism of the art and architecture to our 8 year old son, who was the perfect age for it. The food ranged from good to excellent depending on what you ordered - my fish dish was superb, though my wife found the salmon only OK. The drinks were very fun, and yes we were touristy and got the commemorative goblets, which are huge, lol. A place to look forward to visiting, and the prices were quite reasonable."

  • "Very rapid service, seated a few minutes after our reservation time . Food was fresh, some portions( the salmon) quite small. Noisy and a number of kids running about, but given it was in a park , all over okay"
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "First, we showed up an hour before our reservation (we didn't even realize) and they took us anyway within 10 mins!! Then, our server, I think his name was "Chad, from Florida", was AWESOME!!! He was very friendly, polite and efficient! He was a pleasure to have as a server. We have been there before and we will continue to go there when we visit the park."

  • "This was my second time dining at Mythos. It always caught my eye because of the huge "Best Theme Park Restaurant!" banner in front, but to be honest I was finally driven to try it out after an unpleasant dining experience at the nearby Circus McGurkus cafeteria-style place in nearby Seuss Land. Universal doesn't have the greatest food, plus you're in a theme park, so given this context Mythos has reliable food and some creative dishes. The menu runs the gamut of pastas, flatbreads, salads, and burgers to appeal to people of all ages. It's a bit "contemporary American" with some international inspirations (especially Asian). Service is pleasant, but it's a bit slow because of the crowds and set-up. Best to make a reservation."

  • "My family decided to try Mytho's toward the end of our universal studios vacation. We wished we had tried it sooner. It was a great experience. Good was great. Service was great. Everyone got plenty to eat for dinner and topped it off with the shot glass sized deserts. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the park to go to Mythos."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "The food was not impressive, the environment was loud (somewhat expected), and a long wait to get into the restaurant. Nothing special here. The service was decent but not enough for me to come back. I'd stick to the cheaper fast foods while in this park, and save money for the better restaurants at the Disney parks (i.e Jiko, Le Cellier, Monsieur Paul etc)"

  • "We had a wonderful meal and great service. The decor is fantastic! We are especially grateful the chef and our waiter worked together to accommodate food allergies in our group."

  • "I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant and because of the great reviews, my expectations were high. It is worth going inside to see how pretty it is inside, but the food is average at best.I recommend it if you're in Islands of Adventure and you want to get away from the crowded restaurants and noisy children."

  • "This is a great place to stop for lunch while visiting IOA. The food was good and the atmosphere really unique. Prices were good, not much more than the counter service options."
    Dined on 6/16/2014
  • "I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food you get and the total bill. It was not outrageous for a theme park but the food was just okay. I ordered the shrimp tempura sushi appetizer and was not impressed. However, my son's cheese pizza was really really good! It was worth it for the atmosphere and to take a break from the park but wish I would have ordered something different."
