Diner Reviews
  • "Best restaurant in Universal Orlando parks. Excellent food, far better than standard theme park fare. Highly recommend making reservations weeks ahead of time to ensure a table."

  • "I have been wanting to eat at Mythos for years after noting that it has won best theme park dining for many years. I finally went there the other day with my family. The atmosphere is amazing! I would dine there again just for this reason. The food was so so. My son's steak was puddled in butter and over done. The potatoes were awful! The were obviously instant. From an expensive, award winning restaurant I would have expected fresh potatoes. The waiter was nice, efficient. No offers for more bread though. The bread was amazing! The salmon was ok... a little over done."

  • "Service was good, however the waitress was verbally rude."

  • "This was the third time in 6 days that we ate at Mythos, we loved the food! the staff were all wonderful and had a great attitude. I had the Risotto of the day which was a Parmesan risotto with a cranberry stuffing stuffed chicken breast with a demiglaze. this was delicious. it was cooked to perfection, chicken was moist, the stuffing was seasoned perfectly, the risotto was delicious and the demiglaze put it over the top. This restaurant deserves the top restaurant for theme parks again. i was extremely happy and the prices for the food were phenomenal. thank goodness i don't live there because i would eat there three times a week!"

  • "My son and I had a wonderful lunch at Mythos on Friday, April 11. The waiter was very attentive and the food was outstanding. I can't wait to eat there again. It's hands down the best theme park restaurant."

  • "Great food, atmosphere is great, just the design of the building brings you in."

  • "After all of the times we've gone by Mytho's at Universal Studios, we were finally able to give it a try. Every meal that was ordered, was enjoyed and not a bite was left on the plate. Prices very competitive for quality and amount of food, very surprised for being in an amusement park. Our waitress was attentive and great with the kids, definitely would return given the opportunity!"

  • "For the same price as other theme park meals, you get a fairly upscale meal and good service. Great "sandstone cave" atmosphere that is very well lit. Field green salad with citrus vinaigrette was wonderful. French style bread loaf with rosemary and fennel. I had the mushroom meatloaf (with small bits of crimini) and mashed potatoes - very good flavor and texture, and shareable with the portion size. My wife and friend had the risotto of the day, which was a stuffed chicken over Parmesan risotto with cherry tomatoes and roasted red peppers - it was fantastic. Entire meal for the four of us was about $60 and that's because some got soft drinks which were the only overpriced item on the menu at $3 a pop. Will definitely eat here next time."

  • "You can't beat the quality of the food, the ambience of the place, or the view from your table. This is a real Gem at Universal Orlando. We try to eat here everytime we come."

  • "Very friendly, delicious food, the seating is a bit uncomfortable, otherwise I would give it a 5 star."

  • "If you are visiting Islands of Adventure and want a really good meal, this is the place to go. They have great selections for Foodies, your average diner, kids, and even those who are gluten free. Price is also moderate and service is excellent. We eat here every time we go and always a highlight."

  • "Our first visit. It was excellent. We'll be back! There was a great selection. Each of us ordered something different and each of us raved about the food. The service was very professional. An enjoyable experience."

  • "We made a reservation the night before and were seated right away. Food was quick, really good and reasonably priced. Kids menu was priced similar to other national chains. Don't waste your money on the "street meat" sold at the park food courts. Take the time for a good full service meal."

  • "My husband HATES theme park food & he loved this place! He has requested that we make reservations every time we visit Islands of Adventures! I had the wild mushroom meatloaf it was delicious I would highly recommend it. All of the food was very good the service was quick. It is in the park so there is a lot of children so it is pretty noisy but we did not mind at all."

  • "I really enjoyed going to this restaurant while at Universal. It is sort of an Oasis away from the park. Interesting and delicious food . . and kid friendly."

  • "We visited Mythos during the first week of April/14 and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The décor was amazing and the food choices were wonderful. They were even able to accommodate our party's food allergies. Our server did an exceptional job and we wanted for nothing - well done to Chad!!"

  • "The food was pretty good, but the ambiance/decor was disappointing. T-Rex at Disney is amazing. I'm somewhat surprised Mythos keeps winning for best theme park restaurant. The waitress wasn't very friendly either."

  • "It is a great restaurant even if it weren't in a theme park. The food and ambience were top notch. I got the beef medallions and my husband got the tai dish. Very good. The kids were happy with burgers and wraps. The bill was $100 for a family of five. Pretty good."

  • "Very disappointing. Server was very quiet and seemed put out. Not friendly or welcoming at all!! Portions were small. We were not impressed."

  • "The restaurant has a great environment, amazing service e a perfect menu for every occasion. I was very glad to choose this restaurante to celebrate my 36th birthday with my husband. We had such a great time and our waitress made the occasion very special to us... Besides that, the view form the park is very nice and the food is very very tasty. It's a place to enjoy a very good meal in the middle of so many attractions in that theme park. It was the best birthday lunch I could ever had! :)"

  • "Had lunch at the theme park and made my appt with ease on my cell phone for when they opened at 11. Got an 11:15am time and arrived at that time with 2 of our family of 4 party. Parked the stroller right outside the side entrance door and was seated while waiting on my husband and daughter to join us after their ride (10 min). They arrived and we were seated immediatley with us. I advise making reservations. All food was very reasonably priced and was delicious. Great atmosphere. The bread was amazing and the service quick. We even had dessert and our bill was less than our lunch at Bubba Gumps the next day outside of the theme park!"

  • "As annual passholders to all of the Orlando area theme parks, we have eaten at many restaurants within the parks. Mythos is the only Universal restaurant that we have found to be consistent and worth it if you want something other than a burger or pizza. I particularly like the pad thai, although I would not compare it to a good Thai restaurant. Service is good and friendly. If you are going to Islands of Adventure, make a reservation before you go, because walk-ins almost always have to wait."

  • "Located at Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando. The restaurant faces the lake, which is the center of the park. You can see most of the park, rides, from the windows. Mythos inside looks like you're sitting in a cave. Very unique. The food is excellent. They have a children's menu and a gluten free menu, including gluten free bread. My favorite dish is Pad Thai. They also have burgers, wraps, risotto, and specials. I would recommend making a reservation, as it tends to be crowded for lunch. It's only open for lunch. When we celebrate a special occasion, and visit the park, we always go to Mythos."

  • "We celebrated our daughter's Sweet 16 with a nice dinner at Mytho's at Universal Islands of Adventure and wow- what a cool place! The atmosphere was mythical and unique with a cave like atmosphere and great carvings all over the restaurant. Our waiter Eric was fantastic - very friendly and quick with service! The food was delicious and just enough with the portions as well as the price being very reasonable. If we ever visit Universal again, we will definitely dine there and will recommend this restaurant to anyone we know who is visiting there! The only bad thing about the restaurants at Universal is most of them close by 7:30, so be sure to make a reservation in advance and make it early."

  • "Great menu, highlights gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options or items that can be altered to accommodate. Everyone from the server to the hostesses went above and beyond to assure a great experience for us."

  • "This restaurant boasts that it is one of the top theme-park restaurants, however my husband and I just felt like there was really nothing special about it. I had a salad and by husband had the meatloaf. The meatloaf tasted very processed, while the salad just overall didn't have much of a flavor. My husband was especially excited to try out this restaurant because of the theme, however we were just overall unimpressed. Your money is best spent elsewhere."

  • "Who'd have expected such an excellent restaurant in the middle of an amusment park. Had heard good things but wasn't expecting to be impressed ... Edutainment and a tasty meal in one (learned some mythology and enjoyed a family dinner)."
