Myron"s Prime Steak House is on location in the old Palace Movie Theatre in historic downtown New Braunfels. We are open nightly, giving top billing to Chicago prime beef, the top 2% of all prime beef in the United States.   • "We had an absolutely FANTASTIC dinner! I'm sure some will criticize that the on-line menu doesn't list prices. If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. But if you eat early (before 6pm) during the week, drinks including wine bottles under $150 are 25% off. Everything was exceptional: Service, Food, Wine, Ambience. This was a very special dinner for my wife of 25 years, which we celebrated with our kids 14-20. All of us loved every bite of our dinners: Bone-in Ribeye, Filet and Shrimp, Ahi-Tuna, Mixed Grill, and Salmon. Myron's is comparable with Del Frisco's and Delmonico's in Las Vegas and other high-end places. If you want a 5-star dinner away from the hassle of downtown, it's worth the drive to peaceful New Braunfels."

  • "My girlfriend and I visited Myron's during a recent visit to New Braufels. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and she ordered the grilled Salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. For our sides, we ordered the Jalapeno Macaroni and Cheese, which was FANTASTIC, and the Broccoli Au Gratin, which was was also very good. The service at Myron's was excellent. The servers are very attentive, but not overbearing. To finish the night, we could not leave without trying the desserts. I ordered the chocolate cake and she order the creme brulee. Both were very good. I would definitely recommend Myron's to everyone."

  • "The escargot was tender & well flavored. The wait staff kept our glasses full and actually shelled the King Crab legs. The ribeye was massive and perfectly prepared. The steak seasoning enhanced the steak rather than obscuring it. The hot bread was a perfect complement to the meal. The salad dressings are fresh made and luscious. We were served by Josh and he provided for our every need with non-intrusive friendliness and availability. The only reason I rated this restaurant for "special occasion" is that the pricing may be higher than some families can frequently afford. Please be clear that a perfect dinner for 2 for $130 (excluding tip) is a value to me."

  • "My wife and I made our second trip to Myron's for an early birthday dinner for me. First, the Open Table reservation system works like a champ! We sat in a different dining area than where we were on our first trip, and didn't particularly care for the room. It was a little too bright for our taste, and the table we sat at was a little cramped. My KC Strip was perfectly cooked, and very flavorful. My wife had Salmon, and said it was very good, as well. Her only complaint was again, that the salads aren't very impressive. However, since I came there for steak, it hit the spot. Once again, our server, Jewell, was excellent. We had her the first time we dined there, and were fortunate to have had her again!"

  • "We were a party of five and it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy. We made reservations and when we entered we were immediately seated. We all ordered steaks cooked medium RARE and when we were served, my son and I realized that our steaks were WELL done! Immediately I let one of the servers walking by aware of the mistake and it was taken care of immediately! The staff are very gracious and they obviously want their diners to be satisfied."

  • "We went to Myron's knowing the prices - so that didn't bother us.... there are lot's of high end steak houses, and we had heard Myron's was one of them. After going to have dinner there, I don't agree that it belongs in that category. The decor is non existent. The entrance was bare and unappealing. I think the management is relying on "dark and dim" to replace "comfortable and attractive". I have to say that the service was excellent - no problems there at all. The food however was the disappointment. It was good - it just wasn't as good as it should have been for the price. The wedge salad was just iceberg lettuce & dressing. The Ribeye and T-bone were good, but nothing special. Over priced for what you get."

The pace of the meal is perfect, you have plenty of time between courses without ever feeling like you are waiting. This is the go to spot for special occasions and delicious steaks. They have other entree options that my wife says are also phenomenal but I go for the steak."

I love the atmosphere as there are not too many places now days that are romantic and you can hear each other talk. We were there New Year's Eve and plan to go again on our 31st wedding anniversary this month. Just wish you would give the discount coupon on 1 entrée instead of 2. More people are becoming more aware of their portions plus economy is a little tight. Keep us the great job and do not change anything. You might want to check out the bread pudding at Mimi's Café it would make a nice addition to your dessert tray. (It's at the Hill Country Galleria in Austin)"

In the past my crab legs were excellent. This time horrible. The waitor had to dig it out of shell and it was like pieces of rice. Just shredded. Very disappointing to say the least. It was our anniversary and and I did not eat all my. Steve was our waitor and we enjoyed him."

We shared mash potatoes as the sides are pretty healthy portions for sharing. Service was good, but again for the price not as exceptional as you might expect. We were there at close to 7 pm on a Saturday night so it wasn't all that busy."

The seating booths made it semi-private, adjacent conversations were pleasantly muted and the service was polite and prompt but not rushed. We had the thick-cut porkchops which were excellent and the creme brulee we shared was heavenly. Truly a fine dining experience."

  • "We went to try Myron's for our anniversary and were very disappointed. After reading reviews of how great people thought the food was, we had fairly high expectations. Unfortunately those expectations were not met. The service was below average, (had to ask for something three times before the server remembered to bring it,) and the food was mediocre at best, they drowned my salad in dressing. The place was nearly deserted, and the decor was a confused jumble of cheap farmhouse, antique 20's theater, and modern utilitarian.There are many, MANY other places to eat where your money is much better spent and you actually walk away feeling that you've had a great dining experience, not that you just dropped $150 on a $30 meal. Not recommended."

She recommended a great wine to my wife and was attentive without be obtrusive. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Each course was brought out with appropriate timing (we had time to enjoy each course before the other one showed up). The food was outstanding, as usual."

We spent $150 on a dinner for two...we could have had a better meal at home. The best part of the meal was a dide if stuffed tomato."

Had to finally ask for the check, as the server seemed to have forgotten about us. We'll certainly be back - but if presented with the same server, we WILL insist on another."
