  • "Two Myron's in a week. First was in New Braunfels for a birthday/anniversary. Second was in San Antonio with visiting friends from Mexico City. Food was great, service was excellent (ask for Charlie!). Excellent wine list, (try the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo). This is one of the best restaurants I have been to, definitely the best since leaving the east coast four years ago. If I could afford it, I'd go back every week."

  • "Calling all foodies, if you're in the mood for a great steak or want to sample the magic in cheesy goodness, you'll love Myron's. Prime Rib complimented by a salad topped with gorganzola dressing and crumbled crispy bacon and jalapeno mac-n-cheese is my official last meal. I seriously need Myron's to be around when that time comes, but in the mean time, I'll be over as often as I can to enjoy the various selections on this decadent menu with delicious beers perfect for any palet. Great experience, and amazing eye candy in wait staff."

  • "The service was very good from the start. However, the main course was more problematic. While the wedge salad was cold and crisp, with a very tasty dressing, and the baked potato was excellent, the star of the show - chateaubriand - was a major letdown. Ordered cooked medium, it came to the table somewhere between medium rare and rare, though the exterior was fully cooked with a slight char. When brought to the attention of our waiter, he DID offer to take it back for more oven time but by this time, our potatoes were already cooling fast and I declined. We should not have been in the position of having to make that decision to begin with at a restaurant of this caliber. Unlikely to go back. Too many great alternatives around town."

  • "Service couldn't have been better. Very attentive, courteous, knowledgeable wait staff. Very dark dining environment was somewhat romantic. We had both steak and seafood, expensive cuts, but average taste. The sauces tended overpower the meat, which, quite honestly was not of great value."

  • "Wife and I both had boneless ribeyes cooked medium. One of the steaks tasted alright but the other one was very over cooked. Jalapeno Mac and cheese was excellent. Service during dinner was decent but no manager ever came by to check on us like other steak houses in town. No attempt to make us feel welcome or connect. When the check came no one said thank you for coming in. Not the server, front desk people, our the manager standing by the front door. For the money we spent there is no way I will go back for that food or service. Not nearly the same caliber of food and hospitality as other streak places in town"

  • "This was the second visit to Myron's for us and did not disappoint us. This visit was much better than the first. Wasabi Seared Tuna was very tasty, but will have medium preparation next time. Had Sautéed Mushrooms for accompaniment for steak and was delicious though it was a little salty for our taste. Love the coffee you serve. Overall we had very delicious experience."

  • "It wasn't busy at all. Almost too quiet. We were one of two groups in the bar and the only diners once we went to the dining room. The bartender was very helpful and attentive. The waiter was courteous and somewhat mechanical. The food was decent but not as good as I was hoping for the money spent. On the wedge salads, the gorgonzola dressing was fantastic, the bleu cheese was dry and very clumpy, more of a garnish than a dressing. We partook in their specials: Fillet Oscar, which was overcooked and the Ribeye with Shrimp, which was drowned in a salty hollandaise and huge chunks of green onion. The Ribeye was cooked perfectly and would have been better without the additional sauce."

  • "As usual, our dinner at Myron's was top notch, easily one of the top restaurants in San Antonio. Tony took great care of us as he has in the past. The food was amazing from beginning to end. The Shrimp Myron sauce is worth the trip alone! Can't recommend this place enough!"

  • "Steak temperature was inconsistent. Two medallions on the same plate were ordered "medium". One came out "well done" and the other was "medium rare". Two other steaks ordered at our table came out incorrectly as well. Not good for a restaurant that calls itself a "prime steakhouse". Scallops and red fish ordered by other members of our party were said to be good by those who ate them."

  • "Occasionally a Groupon offer means a restaurant is not so hot. We tried Myron's anyway and were glad we did! The steaks were perfect and healthy sized, and the signature Jalapeño Mac & Cheese was quite good. We dined in the front dining room, which filled completely, but was easy to hear your conversation. Our waiter was great and all in all it was a perfect experience."

  • "Husband had bone in filet and said it was the best filet he ever ate. The mac was delicious. They need to stop serving the sad iceberg lettuce slice thingy. It is not pretty and no steak house selling $60.00+ steaks should be serving a slice of iceberg lettuce in place of a real salad:( I ordered the bone in ribeye (approx $60.00) and it had to be sent back because the texture was grainy and it tasted off. According to the manager the kitchen staff tasted my steak and agreed that it was indeed grainy. Watched my husband eat his delicious steak while waiting on another ribeye to be cooked for me. Took two bites out of second ribeye and had it boxed to go. Would not order ribeye again. So depressing!"

  • "My spouse & I went to Myron's for the first time as an anniversary outing. The server, Charlie, was friendly, attentive, & knowledgable. He recommended a bottle of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed. My spouse had a filet that was among the most flavorful he ever had once he got into the middle. I had the tuna w/ cilantro sauce which was great. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was ok. Will definitely return!"

  • "We went to Myron's for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. I ordered the medallion filets and shrimp and upon receiving my meal I found that one filet was very well done and the other was rare. Our waiter apologized and took the meal back to the kitchen. I received a newly prepared meal served by the manager who also apologized. I appreciate the attentiveness of the the waiter and the manager. We have been to this restaurant several times and will continue to go there."

  • "Waiters need to carry something to write orders. Our waiter while very friendly, nice and prompt did forget or totally get wrong about 33% of my order. I ordered a nice bottle of Argentinian Malbec but he brought me a Malbec blend from France which was more expensive than what I wanted. It was tasty but it wasn't what I ordered or wanted. Of course I didn't look at the label until AFTER giving my approval. I wondered why it had a different bouquet than I expected. I ordered spinach au gratin he brought me potatoes au gratin; he forgot my daughter's fries but brought them after we reminded him. My wife said everything was too salty. I didn't get salt but I got an overdose of pepper. For $500 I expect more than I got, good not great."

  • "Myron's is an excellent place to get a well-made drink, a great steak, and a tasty desert. Try the chocolate cake. I've had great luck with them in the past, but tonight my steak, a filet, was a tad overdone. Had I not been enjoying my company, I would have sent it back. We had asparagus with hollandaise on the side and found it prepared perfectly. The shoestring potatoes were good but prosaic. Service was somewhat less than responsive. None of the defects would prevent us from returning."

  • "Myron's seems to improve each time my wife and I go there. Since I've had their superb lamb chops on two previous occasions, I decided to order a ribeye, which was as good as I've ever had. My wife stuck with her favorite -- the tender and tasty filet. It's a bonus that dinners come with a house salad. We had the delicious potatoes "Myron'saisse". An inexpensive ($40) bottle of a Washington State merlot was a fine accompaniment to our wonderful meal. Our waiter, Paul, was personable and professional."

  • "The food here was outstanding and the service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The portions were good size--none of us at our table could eat everything. Although the restaurant was full, the service did not suffer at all. The only time there was a delay was when the waiter was telling us of the nightly specials when a hot appetizer for one of his other tables arrived and he excused himself so he could serve that dish while it was still hot. It was an interruption of less than a minute but showed the care they take to make sure everything is as good as it can be. The prices were what I expected for an upscale steak house. An overall good experience"

  • "We had a buy one entree get one free coupon, and this is the only way we would eat here. We don't go out to eat much, so when we have a deal like this we don't mind paying a bit more. I ordered a large fillet oscar and my husband got the t-bone. They were both cooked wonderfully and the beef was top-notch. We also each ordered a drink, and we didn't need to order sides as the entrees came with bread and an iceberg wheel with delicious house-made dressing. We would recommend this place, especially if they send out more coupons."
