What a surprise!!! This little restaurant was great once you stepped inside the door. The setting, although small, was a great. The service was GREAT! The owner gave, not just us, but all of the dinners special attention. The food was a surprise. We mostly had small plates, but they were all very good. WE can't wait to go back and try some of the mail course dishes. This is our 'new' favorite restaurant in Summerville SC.

They helped my boyfriend set up a special night for us (two year anniversary) including flowers on table. The yakatori is delicious, yes, all of it, especially the chicken skins and pork belly. I've never had pork belly so tender on the inside and extra crispy on the outside. The owner is super friendly and offers specials during your dinner, such as house made wine, salad, soup, and more wine. Love it. The whole staff is welcoming and helpful. And the prices are totally reasonable. I can't wait to go back. It's one of those places you will tell ALL of your friends about.

We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizer (goyza), yakitori (chicken meatballs, chicken thighs with spicy peanut sauce, pork belly) and the octopus salad. For dinner, we had Yaki-Udon, ramen noodles, and the stir fried noodles. We'll be back!

The service was very very personal and top notch. The owner was seriously the nicest person ever. My husband and I got resort style attention! The adult beverage selection was impressive and unique. The food they serve is fresh and you leave feeling satisfied but not heavy. My god, the pork belly was a religious experience. The menu has a nice mix of Japanese-American staples (hibachi, tuna tataki, etc) and menu items with an education......I had no idea what Yakitori was until we ate here and left a huge fan! They have skewers of lamb, gizzards, quail egg, and they have more traditional meats like chicken, beef, and pork. I really hope to see this place continue to succeed, We definitely plan on becoming regulars here!

We loved this restaurant as Prizzi's, so were excited to try their new venture into Japanese cuisine! They didn't disappoint! Food was DELICIOUS! Every item we ordered was wonderful, right down to the Honey Toast dessert! In addition, the food preparation was gorgeous. It's obvious that they are going above and beyond, especially by Summerville standards! Don't let the location in a strip mall fool you- the inside is tastefully decorated and very clean. Our waitress, Angie, was awesome, too! Will definitely return!

I loved the ambience of the restaurant. I came here with my boyfriend and it was totally classy, romantic, and cozy. We tired the yakitori. Firstly, the sauces served with the skewers and the dipping sauces were to die for. We had the chicken meatball (Tsukune), crispy pork belly, and the Spicy beef, again based on Angie's, the waitress, recommendations. It was so delicious and most importantly tasted like a homecooked fresh meal. I am originally from New York, and I could truly say the food here was way better than TOY or than TAOS in NYC. I told the owner they should consider opening one in New York it would fit right in.

Extremely attentive staff. Unique menu with lots of various options. Bacon wrapped tomatoes and spicey beef was awesome! Don't leave without having the sake sangria! A bit pricey... $110 for 3 of us but we left FULL and with food to take home. The honey toast is a must! Support Summerville local!

You just can't beat the food and service here. Everything is so fresh and prepared with such care you just want to keep getting more even when you are done. Looking forward to getting there more often. Yakitori (menu items not place) is amazing. I have to try them all soon. The sangria (sake based) of the day is always delightful. Lots more to add but the best way is to just go there. WOW!

The owner was really awesome and treated us like family. Highly recommend the lobster rice balls! I had the hibachi which was different then traditional hibachi (different rice and vegetables) but still very delicious. They offer a truly unique array of Japanese food and I am excited to go back and try more new things!

We were visiting Summerville for an evening and stumbled across Myles and Jun Yakatori on chance. And we are so glad we did! Mama Myles took us in like one of her own, as she does to everyone who walks through her door, and when we left we felt like family. The food was absolutely incredible. I am a native New Yorker and foodie, and was absolutely floored by what the kitchen had to offer. I would make a trip back to Summerville just to eat at Myles and Jun's.

We had heard good things about the restaurant from friends; but I must say that it was absolutely the best Asian meal I ever had. the service was excellent and the owners were extremely cordial and accomodating. We have eaten all over Charleston and this one is up there on the list!

The restaurant staff, especially the owner is extremely friendly and loves to tell you about her place. Food was good, but I felt it was a bit overpriced for the serving received, but it was tasty. We ordered the Tuna Collar and it was delicious, but not much food on one collar. Maybe both collars would have made me feel like I got what I paid for.

We had a wonderful dinner experience here. The owner, Myles, acted much more like a hostess than an owner. She checked on all of the tables often and brought samples of their drinks and food. The restaurant was clean. The staff was extremely attentive. The food was clean, fresh and superbly prepared. The cost was very reasonable. The background music was low and we could easily have a conversation at normal speaking levels. We highly recommend you try this one!

Found this new place via Open Table. Went there for Mothers Day and they treated my mom like a queen! The owner, Myles, is very involved in the business, often asking how everything tastes, etc. Ordered Jumbo shrimp with sweet chili sauce and chicken and steak Hibachi. Both entrees were excellent. We even received free dessert and coffee since it was our first visit. Would definitely recommend.

My 7 year old son & I tried Myles and Jun Yakitori last Wed. and returned again on Fri. because we loved it so much! Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and made several excellent recommendations. I highly recommend the yakitori skewers. Our favorites are the chicken thigh with peanut sauce (the best peanut sauce I have ever had!), the wagyu beef, and the spicy beef yakitori. Tyr the ginger dressing and tempura too!I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Not only is the food excellent, the staff is the best! Ms. Myles took an immediate shine to my son. She is such a sweetheart and even gave him a "tour" of the kitchen. The service and food are the best around. If you are not there, you are missing out! 5 Stars!!
