Perhaps everyone in our party was in a good mood because we had a wonderful time from start to finish! But what may have been one contributing factor was Rhys, our waiter. What a wonderful young man! I have asked his schedule because I will go back on the days he works, unfortunately I wish it were more than 1 night a week for those of us who work during the day.
We arrived early and had a little wait but had cocktails outside on the patio and walked the beautiful veggie garden, what a delight. I had to send back a glass of Gewurztraminer (one of my favorite grapes) because it tasted flat and dull. They were very accommodating to bring a new glass. However, newly opened wine was not much better and for $15/glass, not a good experience. Food was memorable, especially the tamales. Everything expertly prepared. Our server (Fernando I believe) was extremely well versed in the menu, very enthusiastic, and gave excellent recommendations. After a day of wine tasting, we did not partake here, but the wine list was also impressive. Only "complaint" was that the noise in the restaurant was virtually deafening. Tables are close together, which gave us a great view of what others were eating and everything looked awesome.
