A word from Mussel Bar & Grille - Revel
Mussel Bar & Grille at Revel is Chef Robert Wiedmaier’s first extension of the popular gastro-pub outside the Washington, DC metro area. Paying homage to Wiedmaier's roots, the inspiration draws from an old-world Belgian roadhouse serving Bière, Moules & Frites, and other continental favorites along with a Belgian centric beer list. Mussel Bar & Grille blends the comfort of a pub, live rock and roll, the energy of a sports bar, and commitment to culinary excellence to raise "eating at the bar" to a whole new level. Chef Wiedmaier presents a menu that pairs his fine dining talent with a respect for his featured ingredient, mussels, in serving up sophisticated comfort food. With over 150 bottled beers most of which are exclusively carried, and 33 taps; Mussel Bar & Grille rocks the Revel dining experience.Continued

  • "I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and the food never disappoints....always good and reasonable as well...service is quick so that you may get back to your gambling :)"

  • "my wife, sister and brother- in-law have dined here with me, they have enjoyed the restaurant and food a number of times. I have only had the spicy shrimp and craw fish pepper pot soup, it is one of the few items on the menu that I can eat,(my problem not yours) I encourage all my friends and family to enjoy the restaurant because of the food selection and refreshments. "

  • "Revel has continued to slip since opening its doors but restaurants always were great. Dined at this restaurant over 6 times and never disappointed until now. Food was bland expect for fistfuls of salt. Servers had such heavy accents it was extremely difficult to understand. Portions have been reduced in size and but still priced heavy. Revel has officially "jumped the shark" and needs to finally be taken over by another casino brand. "

  • "This place never disappoints! Absolutely fantastic food and beer!"

  • "When I looked at the menu beforehand, I was excited about the choices of food. While the prices were a bit high, I don't mind spending a little extra for good food. However, once we got our food, it was not of the highest quality. The beef I got was stringy, my girlfriend's scallops were chewy, and the portions were very small. This would have been forgivable if the prices were low, but they were not. A dinner for two ended up costing over $100. For that price, I expect top quality food."

  • "We didn't know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was knowledgable and was able to make recommendations. The fried oysters were great!"

  • "Food is always delicious and very tasty. I will keep coming back."

  • "The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The variety of Mussels was great. The pizza's were very good. Definitely will go back again"

  • "Our server was excellent and the service overall was very good. I expected more by way of ambience - it looked very casual. The food overall was good, but I actually enjoyed the additional menu options we chose (cheese plate and pizza) over the mussel options. Being branded as a "Mussel" restaurant, I would have expected more variety in the mussel dishes. We ordered 2 - the White Wine and the Mediterranean and while both very tasty, they were way too similar... We also ordered a dessert that was delicious but miniscule!! Tried to share it and between 3 people, I think we each had 2 bites..."

  • "I'm currently a chef in nyc and as you can imagine yes as chefs we are very picky! this place exceeded every expectation that i had for it. Food was seasoned perfectly the flavors and menu were amazing, chef widemaier out did himself on this one, as i ate at many of his other locations. My server diana was amazing as well incredible knowledge about the menu and beer/wine list as well, she made as feel so comfortable about it all. You must visit this place you will not regret it!"

  • "I had a reservation and was seated immediately. My server took some time to come over, but it was possible she thought I was waiting for someone else to join me. A manager noticed that I was looking around and asked if I needed help. I told her I was waiting for the server to come by. She told me the server would come over. Once the server came over, she was very polite and apologized for the wait. I ordered the deviled eggs (which were complimentary due to the delay) and the burger, which was juicy and large. The rest of the time was excellent. The manager and the server checked in on my progress during the meal. I would have given an overall five stars if my server came by sooner."

  • "I took my husband for his birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The mussels were fresh and the sauces were delicious. Our waiter was fantastic."

  • "Great variety on the menu and all our selections - Mahi Mahi, Salmon and Wiener Schnitzel were all delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The beet salad was excellent. The cocktail list was fun!!! Several options on PEI mussels that sounded interesting. The atmosphere was more casual than I expected - several big screen TVs with sports games playing, loud music and a noisy environment. Not bad just different than expectations. Prices were more reasonable than other options in the Revel. Worth the trip."

  • "You might be able to find less expensive dining options when in AC but any extra cost is well worth it given the quality of the food. It was surprisingly quiet on the Friday we arrived which made for a leisurely dining experience. The bar area had guests enjoying the end of happy hour many enjoying the mussels and a wide beer selection. Try the chicken with foie gras pan drippings, my personal favorite."

  • "Mussels really good, pommes frites great and the chocolate cake dessert was amazing. Great Belgian beer selection. Will be back."

  • "The fish was scrumptious and the side dishes fresh and delicious."

  • "Dinner was amazing. This was a girls night out and we randomly selected this restaurant. My friend and I ordered the Mahi Mahi w/sauteed spinich and fingerling potatoes. The fish was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Both of us, did not leave one drop on our plates. Our third friend ordered the sausage/chorizo brick oven pizza and said it was amazing...best pizza she ever had. Although an excellent menu, it would be nice if the restaurant offered daily specials of entrees and appetizers (there was only one special offered for a soup)."

  • "I know this is a mussel bar, but I am a steak lover. Ordered the NYstrip and it was one of the very best. It was cooked the way I ordered it and was served with delicious mushrooms. Very, very delicious. Service was great."

  • "I was staying at Revel this weekend and stumbled on this restaurant on OpenTable. I also found that it was Gluten-free friendly but the waiter was not knowledgable about gluten-free options. The food was good but service was VERY slow"

  • "Only rated the Food four stars because there was no blue cheese (as the menu advertised) in my wife's salad. This was our third time at the Mussel Bar & Grill and the food and service has been consistently outstanding !!! It's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for !! It's our "go to" restaurant whenever we go to AC...."

  • "I didn't enjoy the food and both of us found our meals too sweet. Portions were small for the price. The facility is very nice."

  • "Great atmosphere, friendly service, and awesome food. It's not a complete trip if we don't get there at least once for a pot of mussels."
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "Lots of other tempting options, but the mussels are the plumpest, tastiest found anywhere. They come in a pound with a variety of sauces (1/2 lb for apps). Thin, crisp fries with 3 mayo dips. And if you are a beer lover, an unbelievable selection in the hundreds. And the caesar salad is a real one. But try the beets with goat cheese, 2 kinds of beets. Warning: It is a sports bar as well. Be prepared for a cheery crowd."

  • "One of our favorite places in AC. Amazing mussels and beer. Flat bread pizzas are awesome. Great place for interesting gourmet flavors in a somewhat casual atmosphere. Have been several times and will continue to go."

  • "Booked reservation because they had Kobe Beef Burger on the menu and it was my birthday. Very disappointed in the burger. The burger was flat and unappealing looking. It came with a side a fries and the only thing on the burger was a slice of cheese. For a 24.00 burger, I expected way more than what I got. Mussels were bland and had no taste. Best thing of the night was the jello dessert. Although, i like the look of the place and an open kitchen is always nice, but i probably will not be dining there again."

  • "After eating at the MB for dinner, we decided to try it for lunch. It was the same quality food, but the prices were cheaper. The spicy Thai mussels were awesome. If they'd sell the broth as a drink at the bar, I would definitely drink it! The bread that came with the mussels was warm and chewy. The french fries with the 3 dipping sauces were also a treat. Service was outstanding; the waitress couldn't have been more efficient and friendly. We'll definitely be back!!!"

  • "Had a wonderful experience. More than you average pub. It had great food, great service and great beer. Would definitely go again when we visit the Revel."

  • "This was my 3rd time to mussel bar. Every time I get theussels. This trip the quality of the food has declined greatly. The mussels were cooked so long they shrunk down to little morsels. The broth they cooked them in wasn't cooked long enough. I had raw cloves of garlic in my white wine broth. My girlfriend's entree of Mediterranean mussels weren't garnished at all. Mine were. All the broths the mussels were in were undercooked and really runny. They weren't thickened up and creamy."

  • "There has been no trip to The Revel that I have skipped the Mussel Bar. We always have a good time, with good food and excellent wine. The mussels are delicious, the cheese and meat platters compliment the wine perfectly. Not too fancy to make me feel uncomfortable. Fun atmosphere."
    Dined on 2/18/2014
  • "Where do I start? Pepper pot soup was so hot I couldn't eat it before my meal was served. The burger fell apart and was impossible to eat without a knife and fork. The fries were cold - just a terrible meal. Limited wine selection. The service was great but then there were only a few tables where folk were seated. We would never go back. The Revel needs to get a real seafood restaurant honestly Ref Lobster is probably better!!"
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The food and service was great! Though this place doesn't cater for romantic events like valentines day. The table has no flower or candle. Nothing that it says Valentines day."

  • "Huge beer menu with varieties from all over. Get the mussels w fries. Won't be disappointed. I loved the green Thai curry mussels. Build you own Bloody Mary bar at Sunday brunch. Fun!!"

  • "52 ounce porterhouse is seriously the only thing you should be ordering. It says for two but can honestly feed three to four. Expertly cooked to the correct temp. Not too salty but nicely seasoned. The seafood:lobster "tree" was a bit lacking. But the seafood was fresh non the less. Highly recommend as the restaurant to go to for dinner at revel."

  • "From the the food to the service everything is always good. We love the hangar steak and all the meats and cheese. When the food comes out you can tell it's very well put together and looks and rates great"
    Dined on 2/15/2014
  • "Service was prompt and professional. The food was seasoned to perfection and exceeded my expectations. Try their new desserts. We were stuffed after dinner, but the server made the dessert sound irresistible. We ordered the peanut butter cheesecake which the cleverly named a fluffernutter. It was peanut butter cheesecake with marshmallow fluff on top. To die for!"

  • "I've been here for dinner before, but this was my first lunch experience. All of the same Mussels that are on the dinner menu are on the lunch menu at half portions so you can get a few and try it out. I recommend sharing a couple orders of mussels and some of the fried oysters and the kobe beef burger. My server was super friendly and helped me pick a beer out that I ended up loving. Our glasses were always full and she brought out everything we needed before we even got a chance to ask. I recommend this place for lunch and dinner!"

  • "I've been here a few times now and each time I'm impressed. My favorite server and bartender is here each time I come back which says a lot about the place. My husband and I enjoy sitting at the bar to try a few new beers and then having dinner in the restaurant. The menu always changes a bit each season and we love to try the new additions. The wait staff is knowledgeable and very friendly without being on top of us the entire time. Order the new Mussel Trio - it's great to be able to try three different kinds. Add a side of pommes frites that come with 3 mayos. You won't be disappointed!"
