The place was packed and hopping with wait time for a table 1 hour or more. We had reservations thankfully. The Mussels were fresh and delicious. We had Tuna too and the food was tasty. Starting with the bread and amazing Caesar Salad, to the mussels and crab cakes for those I dine with. But I always get the salmon. I'm not sure what it is that they do different from anywhere else, but it is the best I have ever had, no matter how they change up the way it is served on the menu. You can't go wrong with the Mussel Bar. They also have an extensive beer and wine list. The food is tasty and creative. Generous portions prepared perfectly, and it is a quite varied menu. Delicious soups and salades, the sandwiches are unmatched in Revel and, the entrees are all delicious. The room is very interesting, a fun layout and the service, simply superb. It is great to be remembered at one of your favorite places. The food is terrific, every dish, every time. Very creative entrees , presented well and always prepared to taste. Of course the mussels are fabulous, just what I am used to as an Italian, as are the myriad of other dishes. Tried the pepper pot soup this time, just fabulous and a meal in itself. Try Mussl Bar once and you shall be a regular.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Bloody Marys of my life!WOW. Just WOW. The food was amazing! I had the biscuits and gravy-- came with white gravy and sausage. It was so good with just a hint of cloves. Interesting because that is a taste which is rare to come by...and it worked! Mussel Bar & Grille has by far the best Bloody Mary I have ever had. I had the bacon infused Bloody Mary and my brother had the chili infused. They even accommodated for a friend who wanted a virgin Bloody Mary. They give you a mason jar with the infused liquid/alcohol and then you mix your Bloody Mary at the Bloody Mary bar. I ordered the mussels in Thai sauce, which was delicious. They give you a generous helping and the sauce was very tasty. I also sampled the pizza appetizer which had lots of flavor, and the Kobe beef burger which was really tender. The atmosphere is upscale, without being stuffy and the service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff tend to recognize repeat guests and this adds to what is always a lovely evening. The room is attractive usually full on the weekends but the restaurant is managed well and has never been overbooked in our experience. The food is very good and while the menu is not extensive there are always specials to complement the standard entries, which are anything but ordinary. Lunch is a great experience also at Mussel Bar, where the signature dishes are always available and delicious. Your custom beer from Belgium was awesome ( pricey ) Chemay cheese was something I have wanted to try. Alll the entries were perfect. Scallops were fresh and had an awesome taste of the sea, complimented by a wonderful cauliflower purée. Tune steak was better than the one I have had over at the Borgata. My Kobi burger was amazing. Not too fancy but not too casual. The Mussels were great. They have a very large Beer selection with many unique beers. I would definitely go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AM2nd VISITthis was our second visit to the Mussel Bar and this was just as good. the only thing that was defiinitly different was the mussels. this time they seemed a lot smaller in size and just didnt taste as good as our first visit. our server recommended the flat breads and they were very good. The room is quite attractive and the venue holds a lot of people and sells out most nights. They manage their reservations very well and you may expect to be seated in time. The service is now the equal of any restaurant in Revel and the prices are quite competitive, a good value indeed. Did I mention the food ? You shall love everything on the menu , the mussels are of course superb and so is everything else. The food has always been great, and, yes, there is a lot more to enjoy than just the mussels, which are the finest I have ever eaten. The room is unique and very pleasant and then there is the food, which is always a treat. I do not think we have ever had a dish we did not enjoy. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly and eager to help with any questions we had. They have a hugh selection of European beers. The highlight of our meal was the steaming pot of mussels we shared as our appetizer. The garlic white wine broth was outstanding and the mussels were tender and delicious. Served with warm fresh bread, I could have eaten another dozen! For dinner, I had the mushroom and gruyere tart which was gooey and very tasty. My husband had the chilled seafood platter which looked like it could feed a crowd. He loved every bit of it.
