  • "I've been coming here since they opened and it is my favorite in the Smyrna/Vinings area. With a changing seasonal menu, meals range anywhere from good to off-the-charts amazing, with most falling somewhere in between. I love how they experiment and show creativity in their entrees and small plates. The wine pours have gotten smaller over the years, but I guess they are just in line with most other places anymore. The wines by the glass are always good, and the beer list is amazing. I don't love the ambience in the main restaurant as much as before Ellenor's opened and they changed the space -- not as cozy and the energy is not the same --but still totally the best place in the area and always a great night out."

We sat outside on their quaint patio on a beautiful Spring evening. Our server was very helpful and patient with our indecisiveness about cocktails and menu options. The food was excellent and cocktails were quite tasty. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others. Its a nice date spot as well as group gathering."

  • "This restaurant always has great food and good wine selections. It is a frequent stop for me on my trips to Smyrna, GA and I love both the Sunday Brunch and dinner menus. Haven't made the lunch yet only because of schedule restrictions. Their venison is unsurpassed no matter how they prepare it - tender and delicious every time so far! Everything is fresh and flavorful. Great cheese choices too.A dining experience to savor! Can't wait to go back on my next trip!"

  • "M&T has become my boyfriend's and my favorite date spot in Smyrna. The food is always fantastic, whether you are there for one of their many delicious sandwiches at lunch or can enjoy the full dinner menu. We love all of the small-plate options because we can try a greater variety of dishes. The dishes are always unique and interesting. I feel like they always find a way to amp up even the simplest of dishes. The staff is also very attentive and always remembers us when we come in. The cocktail/beer/wine list is also very good. Definitely a must in Smyrna/Vinings!"

  • "We enjoyed the hamburgers; very lean but very juicy and cooked to perfection. The poblano peppers were not very spicy or hot/fiery so I would ask for two peppers next time. We ordered french fries with the hamburgers, but the fries did not come to the table at the same time as the burgers, neither did the ketchup. This little mix up would not prevent us from coming back."

  • "My first time eating here. The food was excellent, the ambiance was nice, but we experienced a major service failure. We ate in the back room which was nice but very dark if your table is not near a light. The tables in the back room are close together & the noise from the people next to you can be loud. Went at 5:30PM on a Saturday the day after Valentine's Day. The place was not crowded but it took 10 to 15 minutes before anyone waited on us. Had to chase the waitress down to get silverware after the appetizer came. Had to ask the waitress multiple times for the same things & it took a long time to get/pay the check. I would go back again for the food but won't eat in the back room again. Try the grass fed burger & the cheese selection."

  • "Although I had a reservaion we were given he worse table in the house, in the corner by the kitchen. The food is overpriced for what you get. The crab cake ($13.) was the size of a silver dollar, The steak with grits was served in a bowl which made it impossible to cut. I had to ask for a plate and a knife.The grits were undercooked and chewy. The chicken dish was the size of a small sparrow and would have been a decent appetizer but not worth it for the price of an entree.The desserts are not made on site and are decidedly underwhelming. Overall not a good experience. I unerstand the farm to table concept but feel that Muss and Turners really have missed the mark by trying to be trendy at the expense of good solid food priced accordingly."

A wonderful surprise was the grilled Octopus salad, and a compliment to the pastry chef. The Chocolate cake and the Lemon Thyme Cheesecake were both excellent"

  • "Went to Muss and Turner's for dinner, well after the holidays. They were out of Coke, they didn't have any tomatoes, and they served me a glass of wine loaded with sediment. I unknowingly drank a sip of the wine and clearly had a physical reaction. So when we left the restaurant, we approached the manager and showed her what happened. She was apathetic, unapologetic', and to "make-good", just offered us the "perfunctory" dessert; however, we were already finished with our meal. After 10-15 minutes of discussion with her about this, she reluctantly said she'd issue a credit; however a credit never did show up on our end. The manager could not have been less interested into turning this negative experience around."

  • "I have eaten at M&T multiple times and have been uniformly pleased with the food and the service. My experience last Sunday evening did not reinforce my favorable opinion. It seemed like everything that came out of the kitchen was a bit off. Two toppings were left off the flat bread "pizza." The brussels sprouts with the scallops were undercooked. A vital ingredient was missing from a drink (although they got it right the first round). The beans in the cassoulet were too crunch for my taste (which means they were very crunchy). Nothing was awful, but nothing was on the mark either. Our waiter did his best to make up for the problems. I'll chalk it up to an off night, but Sundays may not be the best time for a first experience at M&T."

The BBQ sandwich I had was outstanding, the fries were so salty, I had to scrape the salt off to eat and the chocolate chip cookie was under done in the middle. My son had the kippered salmon which he wasn't too impressed with. It was very noisy, but the service was outstanding."

  • "All three of this group's restaurants are outstanding but M & T is especially exceptional. We love their brunches on New Year's Day and Mothers Day. I am a beer snob and appreciate the selection of less common really good beers, including some drafts which are difficult to find in Atlanta. The most distinctive thing about the three restaurants in this group is the friendliness and involvement of ownership and management. Odds are that you will meet management and ownership at your first visit and will thereafter be treated like "Norm" on "Cheers" at future visits at M & T, Local Three(Buckhead) and Common Quarters(East Cobb). "Neighborhood" restaurants like the M & T restaurants, Brooklyn Cafe and Vin 25 are gems in our restaurant scene."

He checked on the things he couldn't answer immediately and was quite helpful to those asking the questions. This restaurant excels in preparing food that tastes great. It's that simple. The willingness of the staff to assist with special menu items is also a wonderful asset. Will return to M&T whenever I'm in the neighborhood."

Great seasonal menu, impeccable wine and liquor selection, friendly and helpful staff, and a speakeasy to top it off. Definitely a neighborhood gem and favorite with the locals. Check it out! Reservations recommended even as late as 9p on weekends as it's not a huge ge place but draws a crowd."
