Murray Circlelucky to get it on a quiet nightwe couldn't have been luckier on our first date. it was a warm san francisco nite, wednesday, and a clear view to the bay and bridge. surpriseingly there were not many people there. we started with wine on the porch. the waiter let us try the different charnannays before ordering. my date ran late and they let us push back the dinner reservation 1 /2 hour. very accomadating !. we had a nice table for dinner in the corner so we felt private from the rest of the diners. my port tenderloin was cooked just as i ordered, her halibut was perfect for her.we shared an exciting salad. we were full but want something sweet so the waiter let us split a dessert from the trio. love the place---oh, back out on the porch for the moonlite evening.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMLaid Back EleganceMurray's circle dinner was phenomenal. A chance meeting with Chef Justin upon entering convinced us to try the Tasting Menu with the wine pairing. Seated at a corner table with a view of the Bridge and the fireplace off to one side established the perfect spot for our unhurried evening.
The service from Mike and support staff was exceptionable. He was always at the ready without being overbearing, delightful in casual conversation, and knowledgeable on all offering.
I am limited to characters left - so the food was EXCELLENT! Fresh, different blends of flavors while being familiar.

From the moment my husband & I arrived & handed our keys to the valet to the end of our visit it was perfection. We started out enjoying a lovely beverage on the patio with a gorgeous view of SF, then onto the dining room for the most delicious food & wine. Each morsel was a delight. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a great demeanor. The assistant staff, busboys etc. , were also very efficient & pleasant. Also the manager was around keeping an eye on things but not intrusive. I NEVER review but this was a stellar experience i felt compelled to make the effort this time. The only downside is it took me half an hour to find a way out with all the narrow roads that are blocked off and end abruptly with no exit. The whole complex is really more like a military encampment than the luxury resort it supposedly is. The restaurant on the former Ft. Baker military site, has been updated but retains its original splendor. Our party of four enjoyed a variety of wines and appetizers including fried asparagus which we unanimously voted "the best we had ever had".
