  • "Great view, service and food! The staff called us by our name and even lent us a pair of binoculars to get a better look at the wildlife."

  • "Everyone mentions the view. But it is jaw-dropping. They could get away with serving anything, but the food is actually very well done, and the menu is appropriate to the setting. Fantastic."

  • "Had a wonderful dinning experience at the Mural room. Loved that they had some vegetarian options as I often have trouble finding food when dinning in the National Parks. The vegetarian entree I had was a Rye Berry dish and it was so delicious! I actually wanted to return and have it again the next night! My partner had the trout and also thought it was wonderful. The view was beautiful and service was just right. The Moose butter and Bison chocolates were an extra delight."

  • "You look out the large windows at Mural Room at Grand Teton Lodge and see the majestic Teton Mountain Range framed against the blue sky and you believe you see where heaven meets earth. But the view isn't the only thing heavenly inside this National Park-the food, the service, the ambiance are out of this world. We ate there two nights in a row. On the first night, I enjoyed the Prime Rib dinner where my meal was prepared perfectly to order. My partner had the Idaho Red Trout which was the best she'd ever tasted. On day two, we again enjoyed the view and our meals as well - I had the half chicken (absolutely delicious) while my mate enjoyed the salmon. We left Mural Room both nights with smiles on our faces. Six stars to Mural Room."

  • "The Mural Room at Jackson Lake Lodge sucks you in due to the magnificent view of the Grand Tetons. Unfortunately the food at dinner doesn't follow the impressive viewing vista. Rolls are awful, soft and doughy, soup is bland and expensive. Food is served cold and selection is very limited. Its basically a fast service type restaurant on a mass scale. I had tenderloin steak and it was small, served luke warm and appeared to be microwaved. Side vegetables were non-existent. You will love the view but food will leave you disappointed"

  • "The food was very good and the service could not have been better. The view from the Mural room is breathtaking. Take your binoculars. Watch the wildlife as you dine."

  • "Amazing location, huge view of Grand Tetons mountains. Pleasant, attentive service. Delicious food - we had bison tenderloin, which was unbelievably tender."

  • "Food was just ok and expensive for what you got. The view is amazing on a clear day."

  • "We have been coming here about every 5 years for the last 45. The veranda, view of the Tetons is superb. The menu is adequately varied and the food is well prepared. Wait staff is friendly, enthusiastic and from all over the states and world. While not inexpensive, prices are very competitive with restaurants in nearby Jackson and one can't beat the ambience. Come early or stay later to walk around and watch elk and moose emerge from the willows in front of the snow capped peaks."

  • "This dining room provides expansive overlooks of the Grand Tetons mountain range and is located within Jackson Lake Lodge right in the national park. You cannot possibly beat this view, and the menu and wine list are solid, especially if you have been hitting the hiking trails all day and have worked up a mountain man's (women's) appetite. Your very attentive servers will take care of your every need."

  • "The food was great. Service was friendly and accommodating to special needs. It is a great treat to have fine dining out in the wilderness."

  • "it was the highlight of our stay at the lodge. they had the best tasting steak I'd had in a while."
    Dined on 7/20/2014
  • "We had great service at the lodge, but the Mural Room is hot and run down. The food was sub-par. The bread in the basket was terrible and slightly stale and the food was below average too. My tomato/ fresh motz salad had one thin slice of tomato. I am not joking. This slice was not even good. I had the prime rib and it was good, but the sides weren't. Great recommendation on the wine from the server too. Loved our server-retired gentleman who shot it straight. Sadly, after this experience, I wouldn't come again."

  • "We had asked for a table near the window, and and our request was honored. We were seated on time and the service was exceptional. The food was well prepared and served the appropriate temperature."

  • "Not gourmet, but after a slow start, the service was good and the good delicious. Hard to beat the view--the moose in the meadow was an unexpected treat!"

  • "After 4 trips to the Mural Room over the past 15 years, I think this last visit was the best yet. Both the food and service are wonderful. The best place for a "fancy" night out in Grand Teton or Yellowstone."

  • "Exceeded our expectations. Great service, delcious food, spectacular view."

  • "Great dinner - it could not be better. Thanks for an unforgettable evening"

  • "Although the Mural Room is quite pricey, the chance to dine on fine food with a view of the Grand Tetons can't be missed. The room itself is lovely with historic murals adorning the walls. There is an interesting selection on the menu with specialities such as elk loin. The main course portion sizes were generous, but I felt the salad was rather sparse for the money. There is an extensive wine list and the attentive staff ensure that your choice matches your food selections. In fact, the service was outstanding. A terrific experience, all round."

  • "Restaurant has perfect view of Tetons, with a fairly upscale and unique menu. However, the service we received did not equal the price we paid. Expected exceptional service from the 'nicest' restaurant at resort, however server didn't check on us enough, needed refills, server was never around to order another drink. Was glad to pay bill and get out of there....opted to have dessert next door in the diner where we had great dessert(not as fancy of course), drinks, and awesome service!"

  • "The view is spectacular, food is average and expensive. The Blue Heron is casual with pub fare but the view is just as good."
    Dined on 7/10/2014
  • "The view is breathtaking...the service staff are college students from around the country...rosy cheeks and happy. Food was good...not outstanding. If you are within 100 miles of the Mural Room...go."

  • "Having been to the Mural Room on two other trips to Wyoming, I was looking forward to the view and the food. Alas, only the view was wonderful. The chef obviously didn't taste the buffalo salad-it was bitter and a horrible slimy mess of jarring spices and greens. It buried the subtle taste of the meat, which didn't taste very good, because it was cold, not table warm. Every dish was a disappointment=and expensive! Good thing I could look at the lovely murals and the view to distract myself from the awful food. Doesn't anyone oversee this chef? Shame on you!"

  • "The service was nonexistent and the food was over cooked. It was the first time I have ever been given a steak knife to cut duck confit with but it was needed. The waiter was inattentive and dismissive. Don't waste your money."

  • "View Grand Teton while enjoying local fare deliciously prepared. Our first dinner was so great we got reservations for the next night too. Wide variety in entrees and appetizers if you don't want a full meal. Full bar and wine."

  • "This restaurant sits in the Jackson Lake Lodge in Teton National Park. Food was the best I have ever had inside a National Park. Every thing we ordered was perfectly cooked and the service moved at a very nice pace. As we looked out of the panoramic windows there were Moose wandering in the willow valley and a heard of Elk on the distant lake shore. Management brought a nice pair of binoculars to add to the viewing pleasure. Great food and fantastic view."

  • "We ate here 2 of the 7 nights we were in Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Parks, and it was by far the best food we ate. (The other nights were at Lake Yellowstone Hotel & Cabins.) The view from the restaurant is incomparable, the menu varied, and the food well prepared. The only disappointment was the service, which was lacking both nights. Everyone was very friendly, but (other than the water service) relatively inattentive even though three different people appeared to be involved in the service. Overall a nice experience that could be great with better service."

  • "We were seated by the windows facing the Tetons early evening. Ordered a pleasant Malbec to go with our elk and duck dinners. We enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad. They were truly heirloom type tomatoes and excellent flavor this early in the summer. All in all a very pleasant experience. If I have any complaint it would be to better protect the wine from the warmth of the sun."

  • "Food was very good, service was very good. But lets face it... the location is what this restaurant is all about! Stunning views of the Teton Range complement the menu perfectly."

  • "The view of the Tetons, and ability to watch for wild life while eating a delightful and wonderful brunch, lunch or dinner is worth scheduling for your trip to the Tetons. Louis was a wonderful waiter - very attentive, and certainly knew the menu. Delightful - was a birthday celebration, and a VERY deserving spot for that occasion!"

  • "A great dinner with a wonderful view and attentive staff! Our waiter - Mark or Matt, I can't remember - was perfect! Outstanding is all there is to say!"

  • "First off, menu sways way too much towards meat and game. We had the two veggie items and, sadly, for the price, mine was fair, the other was disappointing. Service is excellent. Joe and Alex were terrific. Suggestion - go to the Pioneer Grill next door to the Mural Room. Food tastes better, much cheaper and the service is OUTSTANDING! "

  • "View was amazing! If not for the view the restaurant would not be worth the premium cost of the meal. Service was attentive, wine list good, decor is a little tired. Was there during a conference so bar was noisy and so crowded that there was no place to sit. Even so would still recommend going once just to see the mountain view."

  • "Spectacular view of the Grand Tetons from the dining room and nearby veranda."

  • "The Mural Room Is a beautiful dining room with a magnificent view overlooking the Tetons. It serves very good food if you stick to the elk and steak items. Also coq au vin which was delicious and comforting. The salads are weird except for the garden green which I loved. We ate there two evenings and were not disappointed. The service is very good and the wine choices excellent. And the place has that view which you can not get out of your mind. The breakfast buffet is very good with a great many choices. The fresh berries were such a treat on a trip which up to that point had been short on culinary pleasures. Go for it. Breakfast and dinner. It is a unique dining experience in the National Park system and we have been to many."

  • "If you're traveling in Grand Teton National Park and enjoy fine dining you must go to the Mural room: end of story! Reserve a window table to view the awe-inducing Tetons - I think if we had been sitting in the interior of the room, we would have missed something important. The food is very good but shy of outstanding. Ordinary dinner rolls and a poorly presented flourless chocolate cake slightly marred what should have been a 5-star meal. (Crab cakes appetizer and grilled wild salmon: heavenly.) Our waiter was attentive and friendly but brought the wrong salad and didn't offer more coffee. However: don't let my nitpicking turn you off - overall our experience was superb."
