"After reviewing the restaurant online, I was under the impression that we were going to a really nice restaurant for my birthday. We followed the directions, and after a while I thought, well maybe this bad neighborhood is just a short cut. No. We found the restaurant and kept going. Did not feel like getting shot or our car broken into while we ate what may or may not have been good food. I wasn't about to risk my life or property to find out.

For the neighborhood it's in, I bet it's a great place, unfortunately, it lacks in location, location, location."

"My friends and I set a goal to visit 12 new restaurants in 12 new neighborhoods in 2012. Mundial was our February selection. We went as a group of 10 and the staff handled our group very well. Everyone was delighted with their dinners with the exception of the two who ordered the paella. They both felt that dish wasn't special. I ordered the Caserola Azteca (a vegetarian dish). It was absolutely delicious. While I was drinking beer, my friends that had the Sagria said it was also fantastic. All the way around, I'd recommend this place."

"This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Chicago. Highly recommend visiting this joint. Fit for foodies, the dishes are outstanding, the wait staff friendly and attentive. Delicious, unique options. We go here regularly. Yes, it's not in the most hip neighborhood but make the journey it's well worth it."
