We started with a chicken sausage and parsnip purée appetizer, plus a green salad with Spanish cheese. Then we shared a big seafood paella. Traditional dishes are given a modern interpretation, which we liked. Wines and cocktails were also of special interest. Tasty tapas accompanied by a tempranillo just about perfectly matched to the food and an attentive waiter, made for a pleasant evening. Absolutely wonderful - our favourite are the stuffed dates which are delicious! This also seems to be one of the more buzzing places in the extremely quiet neighbourhood of Carmel - if you're not one of the people who want to be tucked up in bed by 9 then you should check this place out! Movies show on one of the walls to give added atmosphere. Food and drinks arrived promptly and were delicious. It is fun, food is great and service is both friendly and timely. I think it is the best tapas place I have ever eaten in the Bay Area including San Francisco. The staff is knowledgable , attentive and fun to work with.
