- My friend and I enjoyed ourQuietlightDined on 4/8/2013My friend and I enjoyed our dinner very much. The food was well prepared, very tasty and nicely presented. The portions were good. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff was friendl. We would definitely go back.Special Features:
- Food was great! We had crabOpenTable Diner Since 2013Dined on 4/5/2013Food was great! We had crab cakes, the sirloin entree and the rack of lamb entree. The only problem was how slow the service was. Staff was polite but unable to complete tasks in a timely fashion .Special Features:
- Glad I was there on a $32 voucherSJR1VIPDined on 3/23/2013This place stays in business because of regulars that have gone there forever. I counted only 4 other people under age 65. The garden salad was fresh, the Sesame Crusted Tuna was cooked properly but the Wasabi Soy sauce was strange. My Japanese friend was taken aback when they brought it to the table. The Wasabi was in the Soy sauce and neither were very good. The Crab Cakes were very good and the Sirloin was good. My steak came with hand cut potatoes that ranged from being overcooked to not cooked enough. Service was mediocre. It took 10 mins after being seated for a waitress (longer for the basket of bread), she never introduced herself and didn't ask if we had any questions. Didn't like the 18% tip being included in the bill.
- CrabOpenTable Diner Since 2013Dined on 3/17/2013Delicious! Although the crowd is a bit aged, but that's not a bad thing, just something we weren't expecting. Great crab cakes!! We used a deal that gave us ~$70 worth of food for $32, which meant that we had a three-course meal, and the staff were very patient with us and brought everything out/cleaned up in a reasonably timely manner.Special Features:
- A tasty surpriseTastySurpriseDined on 3/1/2013I love flavor and service and they were great at both. The prices were great and you get a discount for paying cash. I had risotto and it was delicious. I also left a bag there and they found it and saved it for me. I'll be back soon cause they have creme brulee and I was to full. The great thing is that the chef knew it wouldn't travel well. So I'll be back and I bought a group on for it.Special Features:
- DELICIOUS FOOD! I was pleasantlyOpenTable Diner Since 2012VIPDined on 2/27/2013DELICIOUS FOOD! I was pleasantly surprised by how good the grilled salmon was. Pot sticker appetizers were delicious and the bourbon-pecan tart was also good. Waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Ambiance is laid-back - not fancy at all. Recommended if you're looking for delicious food and a relaxing night.Special Features:
- The food is really good andOpenTable Diner Since 2007Dined on 2/17/2013The food is really good and the prices are very affordable- they just need to step up to the service ratings. We are a regular here and leave 20+ tip but the service is always an issue. You have to ask for water- you have to ask for additional glass of wine- you even have to remind them that you do not have silverware AFTER your food arrives and if you want more bread........you will be waiting. But nice people here and the food is more than decent.Special Features:
- Excellent Dinner SpecialsOpenTable Diner Since 2005Dined on 2/14/2013Under rated sleeper that consistently prepares French classics such as duck and lamb chops on a "working man's budget" Ambiance was lively with background lounge music which did not overpower our conversation. Crème brulee was excellent; fresh & not overly chilled the texture and consistency was perfect (two can share).Special Features:
- For the money the food isOpenTable Diner Since 2007Dined on 2/14/2013For the money the food is very good- service is more than decent and it is a great go to place for week night evenings-Special Features:
- Why fix it if it's not brokenLainieDined on 2/11/2013This was the worst new menu offering I've seen in a long time. The dining room used to be packed now because of the change of menu, there is really nothing worth going back for. Service is spotty and the food left a lot to be desired. Sorry Mumbles, you killed a good thing.
- Used to LOVE Mumbles but thejme33VIPDined on 1/24/2013Used to LOVE Mumbles but the quality has gone wayyyy down. It used to be the nicest of the three sister restaurants but Benjamin and East of Eight are better. Very disappointing.
- My type of restaurantOpenTable Diner Since 2006Dined on 1/4/2013This is a reasonably priced restaurant with a charming ambience and accessible menu. The fare is bistro-like, with tasty sauces and light spices, a variety of meat/pultry/fish, and perfect portion sizes. We went with a group of four and enjoyed the service, the food, and the ability to talk easily.Special Features:

- We like you guys!!!!OpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 11/4/2012Great kids menu..lots of choices...maybe add a drink to there meal? The food is good and the large portions are great. The staff is friendly and attentive.Special Features:
- Excellent food; great selectionOpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 10/12/2012Excellent food; great selection for all ages and tastes. The salmon and steak received great reviews as did the pizza from our party of 8. The vegetables were steamed perfectly. The portions were more than ample. The Yankee playoff game on the TV at the bar added to the excitement.Special Features:
- Neighborhood GemDown2EarthDinerDined on 10/8/2012We've been going to Mumbles for years. It's our go to place when we want a nice meal in the neighborhood. The service is friendly and the food is quite good. The portions, for us, are large so we always take home half, which makes their prices extremely reasonable. We also eat here when we have company with a large mix of tastes as there is something for everyone on their menu.Special Features:
- My daughter's shrimp pastanoewomanDined on 9/22/2012My daughter's shrimp pasta was good but my meat loaf was a disappointment.
- Love it!kim2nycVIPDined on 9/17/2012A nice restaurant with lots of good variety of food that won't kill your wallet. Wonderful server (Johnny?) I believed he was the only one serving the big area he was courteous, friendly, fast acting. Bus boys were good too, my glass of water was always full. I recommend it and will absolutely go back.Special Features:
- WE WENT FOR HAPPY HOUR BEFOREOpenTable Diner Since 2008VIPDined on 8/29/2012WE WENT FOR HAPPY HOUR BEFORE DINNER. HAPPY HOUR'S WINE WAS NOT GOOD AND THE BARTENDER WAS UNFRIENDLY. HE WAS ALSO LIKE THIS A YEAR AGO.Special Features:
- Went for brunch, so that'sOpenTable Diner Since 2005VIPDined on 8/5/2012Went for brunch, so that's all I can write about - AWESOME! Friendly little place off Union Square with a rather large brunch menu...something for everyone! We sat for a while after we ate and continued to chat over coffee and no one bothered us to leave.Special Features:

- I've eaten here a few timesOpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 6/17/2012I've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. Great food and great service. Also, they have a variety of food items that should please every palate. Highly recommend dining there.Special Features:
- Looks like a nice place forOpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 5/29/2012Looks like a nice place for a beer... nothing special about the food...
- Had lunch at the restaurantOpenTable Diner Since 2012Dined on 5/24/2012Had lunch at the restaurant as a group of seventeen, everyone enjoyed their food (no complaints) and marveled at the decor of my Maryland Crab Cakes dish (which was very good). Although there were other people dining there, we were treated as if we were celebrities...the service was great!! ThanksSpecial Features:

- Both pasta dishes were overcooked;OpenTable Diner Since 2008Dined on 5/5/2012Both pasta dishes were overcooked; the ravioli was especially glutenous and overfilled with mushy cheese. The creme brule was lovely though!
- We went at the perfect time.OpenTable Diner Since 2011Dined on 5/5/2012We went at the perfect time. Nice location. Very helpful staff and the meal was beyond what we expected.
- Not particularly good or memorable.OpenTable Diner Since 2007VIPDined on 5/4/2012Not particularly good or memorable. Disappointed. Pecan crusted salmon wasn't very tasty and the crab cake was over-fried. Service was very slow too.
- Disappointing is the bestOpenTable Diner Since 2008Dined on 4/27/2012Disappointing is the best I can offer. Hadn't eaten here for years due to a bad experience with their food. A couple of months ago we picked up a dinner 'deal' and decided to give it another shot. Surprise - the service was good, as was the food. What one would expect in this type of restaurant. This time around they again fell far short. My food was barely warm when brought to the table. I sent my steak back to put back on the grill for a couple of minutes. Their cook took the short cut- shoved the entire plate under the broiler. My dinner partner's meal was also mediocre - at best. Much of her meal was left on the plate. It's unfortunate- we live in the neighborhood and would be regulars if only their food was at par.
- Pleasant experience. food,like2dineoutDined on 4/14/2012Pleasant experience. food, service,ambience all good.Special Features:

- I've been going to MumblesOpenTable Diner Since 2010Dined on 1/20/2012I've been going to Mumbles for years and it never disappoints. The servers are always attentive without being overbearing and the food is always great. My favorites on the menu include the guacamole appetizer and the veggie burger. It's a great local spot I can always count on when looking for a casual night out with everyone from out-of-town friends and family to coworkers.Special Features:
- Great comfort food!OpenTable Diner Since 2014Dined on 1/17/2012Mumbles is among the most consistent 'best bets' for great comfort food. My brothers and I took our parents there for a casual dinner for their anniversary. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I definitely recommend the meat loaf, especially on a cold winter night. Burgers are also great, and they've had some very good chicken dishes.Special Features:

- The food at Mumbles was surprisinglOpenTable Diner Since 2007Dined on 12/17/2011The food at Mumbles was surprisingly good for what I expected; the portions were large and the food, while nothing special, was consistent and enjoyable. The atmosphere reminded me of a suburban chain restaurant, which is the reason I won't be going back. There are too many restaurants in New York that are special to repeat a restaurant that isn't.
