Mulvaney's B&LGreat dining experience!Book a table early, I had a little trouble getting a good seating time a week in advance of my requested date.
The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Just about every other diner seemed to be regulars, as they all got hugs from the staff and visits from the chef and managers. Our server was knowledgable regarding the menu and was able to provide appropriate advice regarding food and wine pairings. For dessert, I appreciated that she knew what an affogato was when we requested it for dessert, even though it's not on the menu.
We will definitely come again!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGood EatsFor food and service Mulvaney's B & L is the place. Smoked salmon appetizer plate is a must have. Their menu change daily, but it always good and something for everybody. The service is exceptional....your water glass is never empty, they listen to what you want and accommodating. Ambience indoor is nice but it's the outdoor patio that is the best. You feel like you're at a garden party. Great place to come for a special occasion or not. Make reservations, may get crowded.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place. ConsistentlyLove this place. Consistently good food and excellent service.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother Wonderful Celebration! We have been to Mulvaney's for several occasions in the past couple of years. We are never disappointed. My parents are older so they prefer lunch to dinner. The staff is amazing and accommodating. Management is thoughtful and personalizes the menu to the occasion. There is just nothing I can say that is negative. The staff remembers us and is gracious and efficient. I love that part of the prep area is in the general space so you can see the chef or sous chef preparing things like homemade pasta, slicing fresh smoked salmon, or preparing dessert plates with special occasion customizations. This is a small, intimate, special restaurant that has become a family favorite. Since the menu changes daily, you have variety!!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a wonderful dinner atI had a wonderful dinner at Mulvaneys: the food was fantastic and service was outstanding. Nice ambience in the old firehouse and our waitress was personable and fun!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent as always. ChefExcellent as always. Chef Patrick has created a wonderful dinning experience.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWithout a doubt one of theWithout a doubt one of the best restaurants in Sacramento! The Three Way Lamb was outstanding. The service was a class act and on top of everything we got the best waitress of the restaurant Jana!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGracieIt is always welcome to find something unique and in a good way... make that really, really deliciously good. Mulvaney's is proud of its individualism, the focus being on their chefs' artistry in a touch-dance with the bounty of Nature and local farmers. The wealth they are generating is not what's accumulating in the cash register, but the richness of culture and interactions. Menus are not made out in advance, except by the measure of hours on the given day, given what the day itself provides as the optimal resources for savory creativity. But if you have dietary constraints, just call or reserve ahead and they will be responsive, as they were with me and mine. The only thing to beware of is finding the address the first time.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, an excellent eveningAs always, an excellent evening at Mulvaney's with great friends new to the experience. Our appetizers and small plates; salads and a gorgeous cheese plate, were perfectly aligned with the Triennes Rose we ordered for the table. Generously portioned pork chops with herbed fregola, and the petrale sole were perfectly balanced, decadent dishes. I loved the housemade paparadelle pasta, however I did find the vegetables little bit overly oily for my taste. All in all, impeccable service, a great experience always, and a very fun evening.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWow! Have been told forWow! Have been told for years how good this place is and it's no lie. Food was outstanding. Every dish was delicious.
It's a little cramped and they do as much as they can with the space that they have. Service is very good.
A Sacramento must.1/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
