  • "A heavy upholstery and upscale service sort of place that almost lives up to its style. The food is reasonably light considering the setting and was good but not great. This was at lunch time so it is possible that the restaurant ups its efforts at dinnertime. Somewhat expensive for what you get -- prices almost like Manhattan."

  • "We had a early reservation, 6:30 on a Sat night. We were seated in the garden area as i requested but the table was a little small for 4 adults. When first seated we a were promptly given bread& butter, the complimentary cheese, dried sausage and string beans. Our glasses were promptly filled with water things and we were given menus.Down hill from there.We waited a good 5+ minutes to be asked if we wanted drinks.another 15 before we heard about the specials During 1/2 hr our water glasses were filled promptly but never again after that unless we asked When the food arrived i asked for a second glass and never recieved it. The food was just decent , not what you expect for $30+ entrees. My warm Zabione tasted very alcoholic"

  • "This restaurant is on a small side street in White Plains, easy to miss, hard to forget. Food and wine was excellent. Service was fantastic. I went on a date there with my fiance and we had a great time. Great spot for a romantic dinner or a group event. It's a bit pricey, but worth it."

  • "I would recommend that the staff not start taking all their very large Christmas wreaths down from the walls on a busy Saturday night while diners are trying to enjoy their (very expensive) meals. I would also recommend that the waitstaff not proceed to wrap up all their large wreaths with cellophane right in the middle of the restaurant on a Saturday night while people are eating their very expensive meals. Couldn't they do that in the morning, or after all the dinner guests have gone home for the night? I was sorry to be disturbing them while they had such important de-decorating to focus on."

  • "Exceptional service made it feel less like a Friday night meal and more a special experience. Baked oyster special appetizer was unique and very tasty. My wife had baked clams which were moist and delicious. Waiter helped us carefully select our entrees, and both were outstanding. My wife had a classic veal dish, and I had seafood in black linguine. The menu is so varied and specials so enticing - our only regret was having to choose but a few items. We will be back as soon as possible."

  • "We have eaten at this restaurant many times & generally it is a great experience. This time, however, it was a bit lacking. First of all, the service was not impressive. Our waiter seemed to have an attitude of sarcasm! My husband had to request a beer with dinner more than two times. We requested a bit more cheese, but didn't get it. Our waiter seemed not to be happy with his chosen vocation!!! This put a bit ofr an edge on our holiday enjoyment."

  • "Mulinos transformed itself to rival Christmas at Disney, with animatronic reindeer, roving carolers & holiday vignettes everywhere you turn. Tables were full of the happiest diners I've ever seen. Service was excellent & not at all rushed. The food was mostly very good with one exception-my short rib entree was tough-that'll teach me to order beef & not fish on Xmas Eve. Hubby's pescatore entree was full of delish lobster, shrimp, scungilli , clams & scallops. Italian cheesecake, not typically my favorite, really was excellent. Though pricey, this should definitely be on your bucket list!"

The food came out quickly but when I needed another glass of wine it took a good 15 minutes to get the waiter's attention. Possible the best linguine in white clam sauce I've ever had, and I eat it all over the country."

  • "This past friday night was our 6th year coming during holiday season. This place used to be great. Last year it was average and I was upset that they ran out of my favorite dessert the renaissance. This year we sat at 8pm, i asked waiter to save two renaissance's. He said they were out. How could they be out AGAIN?! Packed in tables, way too tight and uncomfortable we were by window/garden. Waiter dropped soppressata all over my husband, I got elbowed in the neck by the waiter at the next table pouring water. Husband order his lamb med rare came out well done, waiter apologized and came back out 35 minutes later we were all done eating. then he said i have good news, we just got a shipment of renaissance and i took two out. DOWNHILL!"

  • "We have been to Mulino's many times. The service is impeccable, food always always well prepared. As soon as you are seated, a server runs over with a meat and cheese tray. This visit they also came around with bruschetta and a green bean salad. We never order appetizers. There is a large garden behind a window. It is decorated for carpus occasions. If you go during the Christmas holiday, ask for a table with a garden view. Most have this but there are also some cozy corners for two and they don't have the entire view."

  • "Sat at the bar b4 dinner & ordered bottle of wine. Overheard bar maid order the wrong bottle& corrected her. After referring back to the wine list & some banter with the wine steward in Italian, she slams the book shut in a display of annoyance. Wine steward returns with a bottle of wine, opens it without showing it to us. It's the wrong wine. He returns with the correct bottle. The comp cheese, bruchetta& zuchinni apps were very good but our 'special apps' were not at all 'special' . The shrimp and clams were down right pre-made with mushy bread crumbs and reheated. The rice balls; pastey, no texture & disappointing. Our pork chop dinner special with spinich&potatoes was made to perfection . Table service and ambiance ****."

  • "I came here with my parents for my 23rd birthday and everything was great. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted with fresh bread, bruschetta, and fried zucchini. The entrees were fantastic - I got a delicious special that comprised of perfectly cooked lamb shank on gnocchi. Had to dock a bit on food as my father's dish was too salty and parts of my lamb were, as well - but would have only docked by half a star if I could. Definitely worth the priciness. Also loved the waterfall/garden."

  • "I loved getting all sorts of tastings before ordering anything... nice touch. Waiter was most attentive and appropriate. Maitre'D not very pleasant until we engaged him in some brief chatting. My appetizer of tomato/mozzerella was very tasty and generous portion. Bread was definitely not memorable. My main course, a chicken dish had to be sent back because the boneless chicken was so overcooked. The next time was better but not much flavor. I truly think it wasn't a good choice as my friend had a veal dish and loved it. Berries with zabiogne was exceptional. The atmosphere was great - very pleasant and elegant and better than most restaurants. Definitely on the pricier side and would try again but order something entirely different."

  • "We had a wonderful celebration for my Mom's 80th Birthday! We were seated at the nicest table overlooking the beautiful outside garden and waterfall. Our waiter was very gracious and attendant to all of our needs. Every dish we ordered were perfect and delicious. We were never rushed and felt like we were a very special table in a beautiful restaurant. Thank you Mulino's for a perfect celebration."
