MuffulettaSublimeI love eating at Muffuletta because it encourages me to be aware: incredible arrays of textures, flavors, colors, aromas. I know the chef has put a lot of work into determining which ingredient, shape, flavor, consistency, cooking-method, etc., compliments and contrasts with the others. And, for this, I am grateful - it heightens my senses, makes me happier, enlivens my conversation with my dinner companion, who feels the same way. Add a thoughtful wine list, gracious and attentive service, a very sweet and appealing setting (indoors or the patio), and you have a lovely evening. This was melt in your mouth (best I've had). The combinations of items accompanying the dishes were fantastic. People were sharing bites of vegetables and couscous because they're so amazing. This is quality gourmet food at a very reasonable price. They have excellent seasonal specials every day, and $15 specials posted on the wall Mon-Thurs. We also split the strawberry salad which was also a gourmet work of art. We will be back...and with our foodie friends. Then we will try some of those deserts. Our server was professional but friendly and attentive without being intrusive. For an appetizer, the three of us split the flatbread pizza, which was a perfect size for sharing, and each of the entrees (the pork loin, the tortellini and the salmon Wellington, which was one of evening specials) were delicious & satisfying. Hadn't been to Muffuletta in awhile, but this visit reminded me what a terrific dining experience it was possible to have there, so I plan to return again soon. Public parking out front and easy get to. Handicap ramp leads to front door. The seasonal and local supporting menu has been recently updated; the food is good. The salmon salad was cooked perfectly and the duck entree was superb. It is on the higher price range so I would recommend it for the special occasion, like a first date or birthday celebration. There is high cozy romance atmosphere to Muffuletta. Even though there were two large parties there and the noise level was moderately quiet. Our service was pleasant and timely.
