"This was our first time at Muddy Rudder..The inside was warm and cozy with the green couches in the bar scene. We ate dinner at a table and the service was good and prompt. However- the food was luke warm if that. I ordered the haddock and my friend had the stuffed seafood dish. Lets just say the rolls were warmer than the main dish. I heard rave reviews from other people that this was the place to be and how amazing it was. I guess we were there on an 'off day""

"Had Reservation and still had to wait 1/2 for table which was to small for 5 people Ordered Ice Tea received a coke instead And price was to high for what they served come on cookies for dessert You be the judge Disappointed"

"A great dining experience and worth the trip if you're from out of town. The lobster bisque soup was full of flavor with a generous portion of lobster pieces to enjoy. Our entrees were perfectly cooked and the desserts were just so delicious. We will definitely return when back in the area."

"I don't think I will ever be able to have calamari anywhere else - it just won't measure up.

Wonderful place for a date. We had a six o' clock reservation on Friday evening, and I only wish the piano player had been scheduled to start sooner."

"My mother chose the Muddy Rudder for her 80th Birthday dinner. They were very accommodating for our party of 12. The room was spacious. We were able to pay with separate checks. They brought her dessert with a candle and started the singing. There was a variety of foods on the menu especially for the seafood lover. The kids were able to order sandwiches, and they have an excellent dessert offering. Everyone left full!"

"We chose Muddy Rudder for Valentines Day. We live close by but hadn't been there for about a year. The menu looked great - but the food was very disappointing. I had the tuna - which was terrible - no flavor and not appealing. It came with FRIED asparagus and cold mashed potatoes. The house cabernet was probably the worst glass of wine I have ever had. My boyfriend had the special - baked suffed haddock - it was swimming in butter. I asked a couple of friends after we ate there how they felt about the food and they agreed it had totally gone down hill."

"I brought my mother and family here last Friday night for my mother's birthday dinner. We were greeted instantly and the staff was quick, friendly, and very pleasant and our waitress was extremely nice & patient. Appetizers were excellent and even after a dropped plate and drink spill by the waitress (completely not her fault and she was quick to remedy and apologize - very professional) we were still having a great night. Then the food...not what I expected for the price I paid. My boyfriend's meal was served warm at best and was sent back, my son's fisherman platter was over-fried, and my tuna was bland and the cuke salad & mashed potatoes were gross. Not sure that I would give the restaurant a 2nd try...the food wasn't up to standard."
