From the staff, the food, the wine all of it was by far the best experience we have had out dining in Portland in years, if not ever. I can't even remember a restaurant where the staff was so attentive and freindly to our needs without being overbearing. We dined for three hours it was that type of place. My wife and I were out for a special occasion with another couple and we won't be waiting for a special occasion again to visit. This place will be the first place we will want to be when we go out. We had a mushroom soup, spring salad, scallop antipasto, and trout. Everything was fresh, interesting, and perfectly prepared. Service was pleasant, and it was fun to watch the chef in the tiny open kitchen. Despite the thunder of the tram going by, the menu and ambiance felt very Italian -- we felt we could have been in a little osteria in Venice.
