"We chose the beef wellington on recommendation of our server, but we were very disappointed. Our waiter said the meat would be medium rare, but it was more like well done,which neither of us like. The cheddar mashed were tasty but way too salty. Our dessert was good."

"Our waiter was very attentive, the food was superb-I was very pleasantly surprised. However the cost is pricey, be prepared to spend 130.00 for a meal for two with appetizers and one beer (without dessert and excluding the tip.) We had planned this to be our "splurge meal" for our trip, so were prepared for the cost."

"Mr Pickwick's is hands down my favorite restaurant iStowe. There are many excellent restauants. However, if you like a classic cozy ski chalet / English pub ambiance with fantastic service, an exceptionally vast selection of beers, and a Beef Wellington that wil leave you craving more..regardless of how full you feeel.. Then, this is THE place to visit."

"The restaurant decor makes you feel like you are in a real English Pub. Sadly, our food was just average (filet cut was poor quality) and our waitress expressed far too much attitude. My husband and I are foodies who have lived and dined often in San Francisco/Sonoma/Napa, NYC and many top restaurants around the world. As a result, our standards are fairly high. This place felt and tasted more like a Disney theme restaurant. Their menu included a fairly extensive selection of wild game and beer, so it might be worth a stop just to sit in an authentic feeling pub environment for a beer."

"Great dinner, waiter and bartender very friendly! Did honeymoon Valentines dinner, was one of those places where you can get a well crafted meal in a great atmosphere that was still comfortable and relaxed. Go!!"

"We had an early reservation (5:30) and did expect to beat the dinner rush which we did and was a good thing. We did have to ask to be moved though since the staff was a little too boisterous as they geared up for the evening. After already having complained, I didn't want to mention that the music took away from the atomospher (olde english pub beautiful wood and pop music?) and then inexplicably the lights went bright at 6pm in the dining room and I felt like I was in a cafeteria.

For the price paid for entrees we expected more attention to ambience.

Other than that our waitress was excellent and the food wonderful. Oysters on Gastropub were overthought and too few (3 tiny) for cost. Everything else was wonderful."

"We had a great experience at Mr.Pickwick's. The food was amazing, we started the meal with the Wild Boar Ribs, which were melt in your moth YUM! I had the duck, which was also amazing& my husband had the Beef Wellington, which he said was delicious.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Stowe!"
