Opened in 2006 by world famous restaurateur Michael Chow, most recently awarded the 5 Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences for its excellence, service, and cuisine this is the second post to the original in NYC on 57th Street. Mr Chow's latest & hippest location is surrounded by a Patio & the attractive bar opens at 5:00PM daily.

TriBeCa's Executive Chef Kwok Hor, is a highly respected professional in the Chinese Cuisine Industry & has given many lectures at The Hong Kong Culinary Association.
MR CHOW's menu is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles & Ma Mignon all were created by our passionate & skillful chefs. Also, on the Menu is one of the best prepared Beijing Duck in the world.

  • "I love mr. chow's food but I dont know why the food is a little different from uptown. Even though everything was pretty good I always find the dishes uptown a little tastier. I always order the classics and have been eating them for years. I just find downtown a little blander than other mr. chow restaurants."

  • "What a huge disaplointment! I reserved this a while ago for my partner's 42nd birthday. When we got there we were greeted by the maitre'd very casually. "Hello guys" does not befit a restaraunt you are going to easily pay over $200.00 for 2 people. After asking us if it was "boys night out" he sat us in the strangest area of the dining room. They actually have a bussing table set up so the bus boys can scrape people's dirty plates into buckets, right infront of you. It is so unsightly and noisy. They moved us but it was pointless. The place was so loud and not what you want for a small chic birthday celebration. And the food coming out did not look appetizing. Not at all like Beverly Hills. We left and did not dine."

My goodness the food was just disgusting I would of never thought that! I wouldn't tell anyone to spend the money they charge for the food they serve‼️ I took the food home and fed it to my girlfriends dog!"

  • "Went for NYC Restaurant Week menu. Had Mr Chow noodles, ribs, velvet chicken, crispy beef, veggies, rice and sorbet/ice cream. Food was not cooked to order and arrived tepid. Beef was tough and everything else was bland. Waiter talked up these mojito champagne cocktails, which we tried. They were weak and tasteless at $20 each! Attentive service but save your money for a better restaurant with better food and drinks. I despise restaurants that deliver a substandard product during Restaurant Week! Outdoor dining was boring with no music. Mr Chow should just sit it out next year. I won't be back."

  • "Crispy beef was just crispy... no beef. It would have taken a microscope to find any actual beef within the fried jullianed strips. It was a weekday-- the place was half empty, but we were still rushed through every single course. We were actively eating our appetizer when the busboys (2!) came up and took our plates out of our hands. We said we were still eating and they said "We are just bringing you new plates." When they came back with the new plates, they also brought the main course while we were still eating the appetizer. They again attempted to take away our appetizer dishes (~30% of food still there!) and we had to ask (for the fourth time) to keep the plates. Dessert--ice cream-- was brought melted. Greatly disappointed."

  • "Mr. Chows is a reputable chain of restaurants, but this location in TriBeCa was very down to earth. While all the waiters, bus boys and host were dressed to a T. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They were very happy to explain anything that was misunderstood on the menu, and very concerned with our needs. We had one main server, but throughout the course of the meal, and server passing but checked on us to make sure everything was good. The food was excellent family style servings, we even had leftover. The bar had these huge vases of beautiful white Lila's that's smelled amazing. I will definitely be going back"

  • "I was excited to see Mr.Chows on the restaurant week list since I had never been. When I got there it was a different story, the food was GROSS! I ordered the Mr.Chow noddles vegetarian style which didn't smell appetizing, the drunken fish which I didn't even touch and I had to share my dessert with my company because the waiter said everything comes family style, which isn't close to being true. When ordering the waiter didn't listen to a word we said and brought out what he thought we would like and didn't ask if the meal was ok or come back and check on us. I felt like I spent $62 dollars on white rice and butter but that was all I ate. There was tons of food left on the table and the manager didn't even ask if the food was ok."

  • "Picked it for the RW menu, but ended up going with the standard menu instead. We got peking duck "semi prix fixe" that came with additional starters/mains. None of the apps or mains other than the duck really impressed - solid, but not outstanding. Not enough characters to list them here. Duck was fantastic, v crispy skin and tender meat. Service was decent (very attentive with water refills) but was not impressed with actual waitstaff (sent a dish in error to our table, made jokes that nobody understood, felt a little looked down on). Ambience is loud for sure - better for groups, not somewhere you can really have a decent conversation. Overall for $120/px after tax/tip (1 drink each) I wouldn't recommend unless someone else is paying."

  • "Great food. Really enjoyed what we had. Head waiter (we sat outside) was really helpful and informative about the menu. However, other waiters that brought the food to the table were not so! Food and cutlery was more dumped on the table, than placed. We were told what each dish was, as more of an after thought and with what seemed to be disinterest. And we had to ask for our wine when each time our glasses were empty. We actually felt we done something wrong! But all we did was arrive on time, chatted with the head waiter (really nice man) order our food and eat. Not really what you expect from an expensive restruant where staff wear suits and bow ties, and has a previously high rating. Such a shame."
