After being called by their host 3 times I called them back to confirm the reservation. Only to be greeted by an arrogant host who repeatedly asked my name (Isabella?) but somehow could not find it in his system. He eventually said he found it but it still felt like something was wrong. We arrived on time and he again asked my name 3 times. And again asked if I was Isabella. They then sat us in the basement with no one else there. The basement eventually filled up with others who were clearly extradited from the main room like us and it became extemely loud. The server promised to get the manager but he never came of course. The food was subpar and definitely not worth $600 pre-tip for 4 people. Never again. I've had better food at a Chinese buffet.

I had my first Mr. Chow experience here and was thoroughly pleased. I came to have dinner with a friend in celebration of her birthday. She wanted to be dressed to the nines and not feel guilty about it. This space allowed that without seeming overly pretentious. Each course served was perfectly savory. Not one criticism! Classy. I'll be back.

I made a reservation at Mr. Chows for my friends birthday. My friend had dined at Mr. Chows before and she had loved it. It was my first time dining here. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. The food was delicious and we waited an appropriate amount of time between eating our appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Mr. Chows interior was decorated beautifully. I had a lovely experience.

This is my 3rd time at this venue and think it will be my last. 1st time (~5 years ago) was during restaurant week and went with a group. The experience was pretty good. The 2nd time was with a group and I was mortified when we were placed in the basement at a table for ~8 people when there were 11 of us. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced (~$24 for a cocktail or ~$18 for a glass of house wine). My recent visit was not very good. The portions were way too small for the prices and I don't think I have ever had fried rice prepared quite the way it was prepared at Mr. Chow.. Essentially plain white rice with thinly sliced asparagus and no flavor at all. Dinner was for my birthday but was so dissapointed I opted for no cake/dessert.

My partner and I traveled frequently from Washington, DC to NYC JUST to have a nice dinner at Mr. Chow Tribeca. Not only the food is amazing, the service is the top notch for us. We enjoy dinning a lot not only in our backyard, DC, but all over. Nothing compare to Mr. Chow's service. Nothing. You can eat anywhere when you're hungry and you will be full soon, but the service, you will never find a top notch service as Mr. Chow. Paul Fournier

I love mr. chow's food but I dont know why the food is a little different from uptown. Even though everything was pretty good I always find the dishes uptown a little tastier. I always order the classics and have been eating them for years. I just find downtown a little blander than other mr. chow restaurants.

What a huge disaplointment! I reserved this a while ago for my partner's 42nd birthday. When we got there we were greeted by the maitre'd very casually. "Hello guys" does not befit a restaraunt you are going to easily pay over $200.00 for 2 people. After asking us if it was "boys night out" he sat us in the strangest area of the dining room. They actually have a bussing table set up so the bus boys can scrape people's dirty plates into buckets, right infront of you. It is so unsightly and noisy. They moved us but it was pointless. The place was so loud and not what you want for a small chic birthday celebration. And the food coming out did not look appetizing. Not at all like Beverly Hills. We left and did not dine.

Went for NYC Restaurant Week menu. Had Mr Chow noodles, ribs, velvet chicken, crispy beef, veggies, rice and sorbet/ice cream. Food was not cooked to order and arrived tepid. Beef was tough and everything else was bland. Waiter talked up these mojito champagne cocktails, which we tried. They were weak and tasteless at $20 each! Attentive service but save your money for a better restaurant with better food and drinks. I despise restaurants that deliver a substandard product during Restaurant Week! Outdoor dining was boring with no music. Mr Chow should just sit it out next year. I won't be back.
