Mr Chow - Beverly HillsWe enjoyed the experience! My husband and I and our two teenage kids went to Mr. Chows as a special treat while in LA on holidays. The food was lovely, make sure to have the honey covered prawns, but not exceptional. The waiters were great, really friendly and attentive. We let our waiter choose a selection of dishes for us and because there were four of us, we got quite alot of food. Be aware though, the water is 10 d a bottle, but you can ask for tap water......overall I thought it was worth it for the experience ( approx. 100 d per person ).....it is crowded and noisey but that just adds to the ambience!!...6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining experienceWhen I was in L.A I tried a few times calling Mr. Chow for a table reservation but it seems to be full house everyday. Until the last day of my stay , i called them one last time and luckily i got the table. As I stepped into the entrance of Mr. Chow , I see everyone very well dressed and enjoying themselves. i was served by a very good looking man and he recommended that we should allow him to handle all the orders for us . He said he was gonna bring the best dishes in the house. The thing is I'm Chinese so when it comes to eating Chinese food , i get very particular. Many Chinese restaurant i went to in the U.S ...just doesn't do it right . So, i was really surprised that Mr. Chow was the best Chinese cuisine I ever had in my life.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFun SpotWe went here for my best friends birthday and had a blast! His BBQ ribs though need something....but, don't wait for the Beijing Duck (1 hour), get the 'quickie version'...it is always the best! I love Mr. Chow's new room for parties..(doors were open so we looked in)..much needed.2/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA one-time must, perhaps two, orThere are so many opportunities in LA to savor regional cuisines. Asian being second only to Mexican. Mr. Chow's reputation for fine Chinese dining was familiar to me long before I went. It's easy to find and parking is not a hassle. From the moment we entered we were met with the utmost professional courtesy. Not at all snobby. We sat in the coveted middle room at a circle table. I understand the best place. Regardless, I only cared about the food. The menu is different and I suggest you allow your captain or server to recommend. We had the green prawns and deep fried (collards) with sauteed whole walnuts. Fantastic. Our second dish was the scallops, cooked in a scallion, soy sauce, and some other mild but flavorful sauce, and crispy duck.2/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
