  • "In my opinion, overpriced. Service was fair, not outstanding at this price. Many more and much better Chinese restaurants. Will not be returning to Mr. Chow's."

  • "This is a great restaurant, not just in N.Y ( which is lot to say)but in the world. The staff and the food were outstanding. Decoration dated and entry door rusted, bad look. Will keep on returning!"

  • "Is a very good restaurant, the food is fantástic and the service is fenomenal! Thanks for Mr. Chow staff, the Beijin Duck is delicius!"
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • " My family and I really enjoyed the food. The Dungeoness Crab was delicious. The service was amazing. I am gluten free and someone spoke to me about the choices that were available. We just thought the meals were very pricey."
    Dined on 6/27/2014
  • "If You are looking for great food and service come here!"
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "If you want your food served at the table you better go elsewhere. Attitude is a problem. Food is great, especially the noodles."

  • "Always a great experience at Mr. Chow 57th. Not cheap but well worth it."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "We had never been & honestly the best Asian food I've had, seriously worth the $ and small portions! Peking duck was delectable & what presentation! Must try the prawn dish & of course the Black Forest cake!!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "The best way to done here is to just give them a few of your likes and dislikes. They will then fill your table with just enough for your group and it will be the best, most flavorful food you've ever had! So easy. Champagne cart is a must right when you sit down. Mr chow is truly a treat."
    Dined on 6/20/2014
  • "Food had no taste, staff rude, seating tight . Mr. Chow's has lost it's appeal & price way too high for portions given & quality of food( poor at best)"
    Dined on 6/12/2014
  • "Could be 1984, 2004 0r 2024. Exceptional service, great vibe and terrific food. And love it is next door..."

  • "Great food but over priced. I don't mind paying when it's worth it but 42 dollars for a very small piece of fish is too much in my opinion. Other than that amazing food. The interior design needs a change. "

  • "If you don't like Mr. Chows then there is just something wrong with your palate! It was a great experience. "

  • "This was our third visit this year, and all three were memorable. The setting is gloriously unexpected; you are transported to a 1930s movie set, and feel special immediately. The service is exceptional, as is the food. Don't miss the duck either whole or as an entree; it is just spectacular. The prices seem high until you learn that the servings are generous and most can be shared. If there is a weak point, it is the wine list, with very few fairly-priced bottles; you are better off ordering by the glass. We learned to request a table facing the entrance, to enjoy the "show" at about 8:30 when the chef spectacularly demonstrates his noodle-making expertise. "

  • "We went a few nights ago. While I like the sister restaurant, Philippe, I found the service here to be mediocre at best. The food is fine but it is over priced and not worth it. "
    Dined on 5/26/2014
  • "I live next door to this restaurant, My niece was visiting and I made a reservation hoping to eat well. first of all what was offered on Open Table site was not on the Menu. we ordered some dumplings, arrived dried out and cold,. the ribs recommended were also dry and reheated, the chicken and crispy beef were nothing special , we ordered brown rice and got fried rice which was fresh and tasted good, but not what we had ordered. we had Badoit in our glasses and the waiter added tap water to it . Let's not forget the blood orange with Grand Marnier which was non existent, we had blood orange(?) with some red jelly. On the whole not a great experience."

  • "This was my second time at mr. Chows, the first was in Miami. 57 was a good experience but it doesnt beat Miami! The food was amazing and the drinks were awesome!"
    Dined on 5/25/2014
  • "If you can endure the waiters pushing certain standard dishes they like to serve, and tolerate the so so so overly expensive fare at the end of a good meal, the meal itself will have been worth it. "
    Dined on 3/3/2014
  • "If you've ever had dumplings than you must try The Box meat dumplings since they're not like anything I've ever had! Say farewell to the standard doughy dumplings and hello to a mini baked pie like appeitizer. Too die for! Also Mr. Chows sparetip ribs are tender and fall off the bone! Yummy! If that doesn't wet your palete the main course of fiery beef or chili pork are delicious! A great place for lunch or dinner with friends or couples! Plus the chef performs a mini show for the crowd by making fresh pasta right before your eyes! GREAT FOOD GREAT MEMORIES!!! "

  • "It was my first time in this restaurant in NYC. I've been in Mr Chow in Miami and in comparison with Miami the only thing that was under my expectation was the local. Too small, even with the reservation they took 30 minutes to seat us and the bar had no space to accommodate more people. Food was great though!"

  • "Mr. Chow on 57th is always a great dining experience. If you have 3 or more get the duck dinner. You love it."
    Dined on 5/16/2014
  • "Mr. Chow was okay for my first visit. The food was not that great. It is an overpriced Chinese spot. The only good dish was the prawns with walnuts which is an appetizer and the lobster in three ways if you want to be messy and pick the meat out your lobster. The liquor is also overpriced. I paid $22 for a small glass of champagne. "
    Dined on 5/17/2014
  • "I can't emphasize how great the food was. We ordered the fillet migneon, lobster, shrimp and chicken. The appetizers are wonderful great portions to share if you have a party of 3 or more. The best shrimps I've ever tasted. Not your typical Asian cuisine they give you different options onto fine dining. I love Mr.Chow and the service was great very friendly. Space is kind of small but the great food and service takes your mind off of that"

  • "Better than Mr. Chow in TriBeCa. Food was amazeing. Found a parking spot right by the door. Best part was a demonstration of how CHOW noodles are done. "

  • "Such a beautiful dining room, with food and service to match. This is a perfect restaurant for a special evening out. Expensive dining, but worth it!"
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Delicious food but very cramped space and average service. The high prices are just not worth it given the long wait even with confirmed reservations and uncomfortable seating. Used to be one of my favorites 25 years ago! Now I only visit when my overseas guests request it. "
    Dined on 4/25/2014
  • "Even though we choose the Chef's special, two people specifically requested the noodles. We were assured it was not a problem. We NEVER got them. Our waiter never returned to our table after taking our order. The food was plopped on the table with no explanations of the food or sauces. No one offered us coffee or dessert. We had to asks for our tab and the maitre'd basically threw it down, turned around and walked away. I was the one who suggested this restaurant after RAVE reviews from my son-in -law of. Mr. Chow's in Florida. I had To apologize and. I was embarrassed for my recommendation. "

  • "Everything we order was great. The waiter give us some great suggestions and he did not go wrong on any. The Seabass was perfect and I love the crispy skin on the duck. My daughters where happy that Willie and and Korie Roberston from Duck Dynasty where there and able to take a picture with them. "

  • "I was disappointed in my experience at Mr Chow. The food was awful. I told the waitress we did not eat fried food yet she recommended a beef dish that was completely fried and soaked in oil. The satay was covered in a Campbell's soup type sauce. The meal was the worst Chinese food I've ever had and the $200 bill was a shock."

  • "Great experience overall. I've been to Mr. Chow on 57th 3 times within the past two weeks because it was really THAT GOOD! The service was excellent. They really make you feel like a VIP there, and the food is unbeatable. My favs; the dungeoness crab with egg whites, the lobster shumai, and the black forest cake. The wine list is fantastic too. A great place to "star watch" as well. . . Highly recommend this place!!! "

  • "After recent not so good eating experiences at Mr. Chow downtown and in LA it was with some hesitation I booked for a family dinner - and was very pleasantly surprised at how good the experience was at 57th St. - Back to the old standards of ambiance and food of Mr Chow London and New York in the 70's and 80's!!"
    Dined on 4/15/2014
  • "Food gets better and better at this well known upscale Chinese. Order one of the dinners for the best bargain. For 3 or more the Beijing Duck dinner can't be beat. Great staff and manger make everything come together. Make sure you go to the uptown branch on 57th. The Tribecca version is not int he same league."
