  • "Terrible waitress... bass fish came with bones and was totally over cooked. You couldn't eat it, with out almost choaking on the bones, which you couldn't see because the lighting was so dim, very dangerous.... and when I mentioned it to the waitress..she said " I know " They said I could order something else. I ordered crab cakes- they were cold and mushy, and greasy meal balls, that looked like meat sause for pasta. Also cold and terrible. I big let down, they can't handle Saturday night rush with terrible wait staff and poor quality cooking..I went home hungry and I never complain about food, but this was the worst !"

  • "This was our first visit after trying to get a table for months. Everything was great, food was melt in your mouth good. Service was outstanding, very knowledgable waiter who was friendly and gave good recommendations. Up scale Greek, highly recommended. One of the best I've ever been to. Atmosphere was a bit noisy, but convivial, and who cares, the food was awesome. Those reviewers I've seen that have complained about slow service don't appreciate that great cooking takes time. If you're in a hurry, go to a fast food crap joint. If you want a superior dining experience, try this place."

  • "I have been to this restaurant many times. It is one of my favorites. However the other night I brought guests and was embarrassed at how we were rushed. As we enjoyed our appetizer, dinner was placed in front of us. Then as each diner was finished plates were removed one at a time. They tried to remove my plate 3-4 times while I was still eating. We finished the dip platter for dessert. Excellent food but the wait staff must be better trained."

  • "A spur of the moment decision to dine at MP Taverna did not disappoint. Food is always fabulous! A nice specialty cocktail (Sandman) started off the evening, and our appetizers were delicious. The chick pea dip (and the excellent zucchini) was a great way to start. Salad with fruit and nuts (very light on fruit) was very good. My husband loved his lamb burger. I had an excellent flank steak and greek sausage. The smashed fries that came with our dinners are not to be missed! My only disappointment was service. Impersonal - our server obviously was too busy or really shouldn't be in the service business. Appetizer wasn't cleared - just shoved aside when dinner came. No conversation, just to deliver food and check. I would expect more."

  • "We had dinner on a Sunday night, the restaurant was about half to 2/3 full. We each had a special cocktail, which we enjoyed. My husband had the mixed grill, and I had the sliders and barley salad, which I enjoyed very much. Our server disappeared once our food was served, so it took a while to find him so we could get our check. Overall the food was yummy!"

  • "Try the recently added MP Steak menu shown on the back of the specials menu, which features 45 day aged prime black angus beef for 2 people including 2 sides of your choice. I shared the NY Strip with my son which is served sliced with lemon and garlic- comes with the bone and was big, thick, juicy and delicious. They also feature a porterhouse and rib eye steak for 2 as well, all prime grade quality."

  • "This was not our first dining experience here. This may be our last. We waited 40 minutes for our reservation, without much of an apology. Most other restaurants would have tried to appease us by offering drinks on the house, but we had to ask., and then the manager unhappily complied. The bathrooms were dirty, and one of the two stalls in the ladies room was out of order. The dining room was hot, which made you wonder about the safety of the food that you were served. The food was good and our waitress was lovely; but really, there are many other restaurants around , and perhaps its time to move on from MP Taverna."

As soon as we sat down and looked at the menu, we wanted to leave since it was not quite what we were expecting -but decided to give it a try. I ordered the pasta. The waiter said that it was not spicy but it was. We also tried the fish which was tasty but not exciting. To be fair, perhaps we were disappointed because we were expecting something a bit different."

  • "We were three for dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was pretty empty and there is no real ambiance to the restaurant. We ordered two sets of appetizers which was much too much, and it would have been helpful if the waiter told us we were ordering a lot of appetizers. We were really not in the mood for the main course when that finally came. The appetizers were very good but the main course, Branzino for two of us, was merely mediocre. I have had this fish many times before but this was overly spiced and not at all tasty. Very disappointing. One of us had the lamb shank, and thought it was just okay. For all the high ratings this restaurant has gathered we were very much disappointed and I would not recommend it to a friend."

  • "We had dinner on a Saturday night recently. We had a reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. Food was outstanding...the dip appetizer is a MUST! I had the risotto and thought it was delicious...it was a special that night. My husband had the Souvlaki and thought it was good, but not noteworthy. He did feel the Smashed Potato Fries were worth a return trip soon! Prices were reasonable and service was great. We will definitely be back."

I Aent the fish bAck but skin was still not crispy and fries not up to their usual perfection. But I will go back again since this us my fav westchester restaurant"

  • "Atmosphere is excellent as is the location. The appetizers were truly remarkable and flavorful worth going there just for those. However the steaks that I opted for with my 18 year old daughter were a far cry of what the menu states. My daughter and I decided to go with the Porterhouse for 2 (the menu states it would be ample for 3). Peter Luger offers a Porterhouse that can easily feed 4 and have some left over. The steak served was what you would get at any normal steak house and is truly for one. It was also a bit overcooked. Do not order the steak it will ruin your experience. My wife had the Bronzino fillet and she claimed it was fantastic; it truly looked it. My other daughter had the chefs special Risotto with prawns, also delicious."

  • "MP Taverna combines trendy Manhattan style atmosphere with delicious Mediterranean-Greek food. We especially enjoyed the grilled branzino and the side of sauteed spinach. The MP salad had finely minced lettuce, tomato, onion, feta cheese, olives. We would have preferred more tomato, so we could taste it better. The pasta entree with tomato, feta cheese, spicy croutons was fairly good, a little light on the cheese. Wines were pricy but the Malbec was pretty good. The hot coffee was strong, well prepared. We liked our two desserts: chocolate ganache with ice cream (tasted more like vanilla than sesame, as listed) and ice cream dish: amaretto, maple walnut, dark chocolate."
