Diner Reviews
  • "Have been here several times recently on weekend evenings. The place is dead. What should be a packed house on a Saturday night has 4 or 5 tables sat. Terrible options for beer. Wine list is ok. Food is good but menu has not been updated in almost a year. Service was fantastic."

  • "For any special occasion I would choose Mosaic at the Inn at Palmer Divide. We have been there for our anniversary, for a birthday and a special day with my 90 year old mother. Each time it was perfect."

  • "Exceptional service. Asked if it was a special occassion (it was), and they gave us a free desert. I had the venison this trip and it was perfect! My wife also loved the scallops. Worth a visit."

  • "The food was very good, as usual. The service was also very good, and the ambiance at Mozaic is always great. The only down side to this visit was the fact that they refused to accept my gift certificate from restaurant.com. It was a $25 certificate, good on a bill of $50 or more. Our bill was $59, before tip. They said the menu items we picked were "special offers", and therefore could not be combined with any other offer, such as our gift certificate. I did not consider our menu pick a "special", as it is a permanent part of the printed menu - but I wasn't going to argue about it. I'll use my certificate another time, and will ask up front if it's good on the menu item I choose."

  • "I can't wait to return- great food! really made the evening special. Reserve a table by the window for a great view!"

  • "The food was wonderful. The chef should be given an award. I had the lamb and it was outstanding. My husband had the chicken and he loved it. The only bad thing was the service from the waitress. She acted too familiar like she was trying to get a better tip. Flirting with my husband was not the way to get it. Sometimes giggling and joking is O.K. but not when it is is over done and an obvious way to a big tip."

  • "We ate here for lunch in early June. This is a very large restaurant with beautiful large windows and a perfect Colorado view. However, our party of 4 was 1 of only 3 tables served lunch. It makes for a very quiet lunch but no synergy. The food was just ok. I have friends who rave over the food, but maybe they went for dinner. It looks like a perfect place for a wedding reception or large corporate gathering. The waitress was very nice and efficient. I would give it another chance for dinner."

  • "Three times is a charm they say, and after three absolutely perfect dining experiences this is now our local favorite for special occasions."

  • "We went to celebrate Mother's Day. Positives: the amuse bouche was nice, the food was pretty good, lovely desserts, and the wine list was decent. Negatives: Restaurant setting more akin to the breakfast gathering area at a Holiday Inn Express and given the prices for entrees, I expected better; tea pot and tea cup were both stained dirty and had to be sent back; we never received bread (which I realized after we had eaten when I saw other tables receiving their bread), slow service when it came to busing dirty dishes and closing out the check (which was surprising given the few customers there during our dinner service.) If they are going to charge $25+ for entrees, then their wait/bus staff needs to step it up a bit."

  • "We went to the moZaic becuase we had a gift certificate. We will go back because it was a great place, great food and great service."

  • "We had a wonderful, relaxing dinner at moZaic. We would definitely return to try more dishes (menu changes seasonally). The chef's special (mini pork shank, lamb meatball, and venison filet with a kidney bean cassoulet and braised kale) was quite tasty, as was the sacllops dish my wife had. Service was well-timed, knowledgeable and friendly, wines were affordable."

  • "Such a nice night out without kids. Great service and chance to slowdown and be able to talk with my spouse. Was disappointed with the wine list by the glass. All very poor quality for such an nice place. Full bar to start off with appetizer and cocktail. Were seated next to some loud ladies having a night out, and would have preferred to been put away from them, but didn't really break the mood. Great menu and selections of desserts. Had the chocolate rum creme brulee and was very disappointed. Tasted like jello pudding with caramelized sugar on top, however the chocolate topping and Chantilly cream was really good. Probably try another dessert next time. Thanks for making our night great."

  • "Something on the buffet for everyone. Even my picky teenagers. The bison short ribs were incredible. Shrimp. pork tenderloin & prime rib all served up while the chef (friendly & gracious owner Al) can make you your individualized omelet. Definitely will recommend this to my FB friends. Good value too - we splurged for our budget but it was well worth it for a special occasion. Try their Easter or Mother's Day brunch for sure!"

  • "My wife and I dine out at least 2-3 times a week and at least once a month in the "Fine Dining" establishments. Shanahsn's is one of our favorites (South Denver Metro) We've not found anything even close in the Pikes Peak Region, but we're holding out hope that Mozaic will be our new favorite since it's so close. This visit was a quiet week night so I'd like to see what it's like on the weekend - but our experience was exceptional. We're planning on another trip soon while entertaining out of town guests."

  • "We got in for the pre-6PM specails. The special appetizer was calamari, fantasic! The beef filet was cooked prefect, 1/4 drunen chicken was the right portion for my wife. Best bread pudding sauce I've had. We will be back."

  • "Food was delicious, service was very slow. Our server forgot one of our appetizers, so we waited even longer for that. Never got the drinks we ordered with dessert. The food we did get was fantastic, perhaps they need to reevaluate their servers."

  • "We had a fabulous meal! This is our favorite special occasion restaurant and we are always looking for special occasions to celebrate."

  • "Our first visit here, for a combination birthday-Valentines day dinner, which we both enjoyed a lot. The place was nice without being pretentious. The view was as lovely as promised. The service was excellent. The food was quite good. It was just what we were looking for, a nice quiet spot for a quiet little celebration, just the two of us, with good food and wine. We will definitely be back."

  • "So glad we tried Mosaic. We had their Valentine's Day Special for 2 & it was delicious. The food was well thought out as the courses arrived, service was speedy & attentive, atmosphere pleasant & comfortable. We will definitely go back for the regular dinner menu."

  • "Everything is delicious and such a wonderful, diverse menu! The cocktails are included, you can't beat it!"

  • "High points - the Banana Potstickers were unbelievably tasty and were a delightful innovation; the corn chowder was exceptionally good; the Vegetable Napoleon was very nice. Not-so-high points - The bacon-wrapped monkfish was not bad, but the fish itself was overpowered by the bacon (I had just told my wife that everything is better wrapped in bacon - this was the first exception to the rule I had ever encountered). Also, when the server came to our table halfway through our meal it was obvious she had just come from a smoke break - not the best accompaniment to our meal."

  • "The Inn at Palmer Divide was an unexpected find. The menu was diverse and sure to please, though we were told by our excellent waiter the menu would be changing. The staff was excellent. Our waiter was very professional and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and had opinions. The desert selection was great. After dinner we went to the bar. The bartender was very personable and engaging. The atmosphere is awesome. Overall, I highly recommend this as a get away from the usual in Colorado Springs. We will be going back to see the new menu. The prices are a tad on the high side, but not outrageous."

  • "Went for Sunday Brunch. We had a party of 7 with some out of state holiday visitors. The food was excellent, some of the best prime rib I've ever had. The stuffed roast pork melted in my mouth and the Bison short ribs were to die for. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The chef stopped by to check on us which was a nice gesture - had great conversation with him. I would highly recommend this place for a more upscale treat. Keep up the good work moZaic! By the way, try their Bloody Mary's...you won't be disappointed! It's a garden in a glass!"

  • "A great place to share a special dinner with family or friends. The menu is unique, and the food is wonderful. Our server was very informative and attentive, but not intrusive. Prices are higher than a chain, but well worth the extra."

  • "The Sunday Brunch was something we were really looking forward to. Brunch is served 9:30 - 1:30. Our reservations were at 12:15. We enjoyed our bloody mary's and mimosa's before we ventured to the buffet. Sad to report, they were out of the featured lamb and scallops. It was not until we got to the last station, where the carving of the prime rib and lamb, were we told they were out of these items. This was very disappointing and the thought was they had at least another hour to go before the brunch buffet was to end. Did not plan accordingly for guests? If we do this again, we will go early."

  • "This is always one of our favorites for special occasions. Service was a little slower on Sat night but we didn't mind. Thanks for a special evening and great food!"

  • "We have always enjoyed the mosaic. The food is exceptional, and the pheasant special was outstanding. We normally go to the Sunday brunch after poor service at dinner, but they have corrected that problem and we would recommend the dinner also. The owners are personable, staff seems very strong and attentive, and the menus outstanding and reasonable for a fine restaurant. Everyone at our dinner enjoyed the meal."

  • "I've been here on a few holiday brunches before and they're ok, but nothing spectacular. The server was very nice, but the food was kind of mediocre. The seafood pasta dish was runny and flavorless and the coconut chicken was hard as a rock. The omelette station was good, lots of choices, friendly chef preparing them. I'll probably go back because it's a local place and it's convenient for social gatherings, but there's certainly nothing on the buffet that makes me go rushing back for more."

  • "Never had a bad time at MoZaic. I met my now fiance for our first date ever here and still go back. Unfortunately its not as popular as it should be, but that also means you get attentive service generally and always romantic and quiet."
