  • "This restaurant provides excellent service, great wine list, great food, ambiance, colorful decor, music fitting the theme. I would go back again. The airline chicken with couscous was very favorable. The snails were tasty. The salad was fresh and tasty."

  • "Great dining. I took advantage of the specially priced menu. Everything exceeded expecations and ejsy we admired most was the "fusion infusion" recipes created by Chef Dylan. People think Mozaic is Moroccan restaurant and it does have some tajines but is certainly a "fusion" restaurant with continental/ecclectic items that takes it to the fine dining level. The Chef knows better than any other Chef I know how to use the best ingredients combined to please your taste buds. We enjoyed a seafood soup that was teaming with lobster, crab and flavor. The seafood special had excellent seafood with exotic vegetables in a smooth, lovely sauce. The cardamom and coffee panna cotta was so rich yet light enough to enjoy without eating too much."

  • "Smaller restaurant that is truly focused on the customer. My wife and I went here for dinner and both of us were pleased. I had baked swordfish, very good. The MoZaic uses a unique blend of spices for achieving a great taste. You will be pleased. Reservations recommended."

  • "The food, service and atmosphere in the Mozaic restaurant is southern European standard. If want fine quality cooking at a reasonable price with a great wine selection in an atmosphere similar to southern France then this is the place for you. The 'servers' are really 'waiters' and the difference is no hassle to eat up and pay, no checking up "is everything ok sir?" every five minutes but good information when you ask a wine or menu item."

  • "I work in the restaurant industry and am definitely a "foodie". One of my wine reps recommended this restaurant when he found out I was going to be visiting Sarasota for the weekend. His recommendation was spot on. The menu is interesting and innovative. The food was prepared with such a light hand, I could taste every single ingredient at its best. My dinner partner had the special, Chilean Sea Bass. It was divine. The service was excellent, both friendly and professional. This will be on my list for all future visits to the city."

  • "Mozaic has always been one of our favorites. We keep going back for their summer menu with diff. people because it's so good."

  • "We have lived in Sarasota for about 9 years and have heard about Mozaic have never been there. Our mistake. We could have been eating here years ago. This is one of the best restaurants in Sarasota."

  • "The food is the focus…always exceptionally well prepared. Ambiance is nice… we asked for quiet table and had a good one in a corner by a window. Service was excellent. One of our favorite Sarasota restaurants."

  • "We enjoyed the early bird special which allowed us to have an appetizer and an entree. I had chilled peach soup and my companion, the spinach ricotta gnocchi. Both were excellent. We both had the steak salad as our entree. It contained a hearty portion of steak cooked to order. The most memorable part of the meal was the chocolate truffle we each received with the bill. It was the best chocolate either of us had ever tasted. This restaurant was recommended to us by an experienced traveler to Sarasota. She certainly guided us to an excellent experience. Everything about Mozaic is outstanding--food, service, atmosphere. We would visit them again if we return to Sarasota."

  • "For me the restaurant ambiance is just as important as the food. This restaurant has excellent food and worth it just for that but only sells select beers and wines and even though they had several great 4 top tables with nice placement my husband and I were a twosome so they put us upstairs with no view. There are too many restaurants in this town with great food and better ambiance for me to choose to come back and pay these prices and then have no ambiance. js."

  • "Mozaic goes on my list of restaurants as a favorite. Helen, the hostess was extremely gracious and made us feel very welcome. The food was great and the attention of the wait staff was terrific. We already have recommended it to friends and will return soon.I never give any restaurant outstanding,so I keep my expectations in check. But to anyone, I say go and enjoy."

  • "The food is always delicious and creative. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. We asked for a table in a quiet location and we were able to have good conversations with very little ambient noise."

  • "We went early - before the theatre- and enjoyed the early dinner menu & special wine prices. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the evening. Highly recommend it."

  • "We always leave Mozaic saying 'That was the best meal I've eaten in Sarasota.' We eat out quite a bit but this is a special dining place for us. Most recently we had the lamb & arugula salad; the skirt steak salad with a side of the roasted asparagus and goat cheese. For dessert the lavender pannacotta was shockingly good. The first wine we tasted was dreadful but quickly replaced with another red, interesting and suitable."

  • "Mozaic is not a new experience for us but it is a consistently good experience in terms of primarily the wonderfully creative dishes put together by Chef Dylan. Without brilliant food, why eat out? Dylan consistently combines exotic flavors and the best ingredients to make a fish dinner into a dining experience. The staff are extremely well trained and are alway aware of your wishes without "Is everything OK?" inane comments along the way. For the money, this is one of the best dining experiences in the country. Thank you Mozaic."

  • "Always a pleasure to dine at Mozaic. The food is perfectly executed, flavors consistently excite the palate. Mozaic is one of my favorite places to have dinner. Even the bar is a nice place to have an outstanding dish in a casual setting; you can learn about wines from the bartender at the same time, too."

  • "I have been in the restaurant business a good portion of my life, and a 25% tip is warranted with such good service as I got at Mozaic. However, when I went to pay the bill, because I was an IBE member, they added a 20% gratuity automatically. I do not like being told what to tip when it is a small party of 2; a large party a can understand. I would recommend it, but I will not go back."

  • "We arrived early and although they had tables available, those were not offered to us. They asked us to get a drink at the bar but unless we poured our own wine, that wasn't going to happen. My wife and I were offered a table upstairs in a small corner and when we rejected that, I returned to the bar to watch them push two tables together so it was suitable for 4 people. Since we were only 2, ok I understood they had a party of 4 coming. We waited 20 minutes at the bar, and then were offered a table, suitable for 4 people, in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. Getting the feeling yet? Probably the most disorganized resturant I have ever been at."

  • "The welcoming service starts at the front door and we were quickly escorted to our table in a front window on the first floor. The food was beautifully presented and the subtle flavors were unique and tasty. We will absolutely return to this special restaurant."

  • "Have had a number of meals at the Mosaic and have been pleased every time. I have recommended it to friends and I will return for future meals."

  • "The Ritz Carlton (Sarasota) recommended this restaurant and it was EXCELLENT ! This is a small intimate place with excellent service and food. It happen to be restaurant week and we got 3 courses for $29. It was actually hard to choose a dish as there were many I wanted. My scallops and lamb were delicious. I would recommend this to anyone is the Sarasota area."

  • "We ate there during midweek, so the restaurant wasn't overly busy. We had been to Mozaic two weeks previously on a very busy Sat. night, the food then was outstanding, the best we have had in the Sarasota area. We were excited to taste some other specialties and enjoy a previous dish. Well it seems, while the presentation was good the food was not. The gnocchi, was very cheesy this time and seemed like it had be warmed up. My wife's beef and my pork were done on the outside but the centers were very rare, not what we had requested. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive. We will be back but not as eager."

  • "We began with a chilled pear soup and a hot seafood soup. Both were flavorful in unique ways and it was obvious the chef knew how to balance flavors perfectly. Second course was a salad for me and diver scallops for my husband. The scallops were sweet and coated in a complimentary crisp with a creamy polenta (or was it quinoa?) cake. Delicious! Main courses were equally superb--a fish dish and mushroom ravioli. Service was efficient but not intrusive. Wine glasses were filled when needed and overall we had excellent dining downtown! Memorable."

  • "This is one of the best "extended" summer Savor Sarasota menus. Everything was delicious, although I would rather have dessert than soup. But it's only an additional $5 if you have the room, which I did not. Going to June 30, so take advantage of it."

  • "We were at Mozaic for my son's birthday. We had the Savor Sarasota menu --lots of great choices and plenty of food. Service was great, extensive wine list and the food was amazing. We had a group of 7 people, 2 adults, 2 adolescents, 2 teens and a 4 year old. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food. I was allowed to bring in our cake and it was served beautifully after everyone (waiters, other guests) sang Happy Birthday to my 19 year old son. An immensely enjoyable evening"

  • "Our dining experience the other night at MOZAIC was as always, Magnificent! I could have stopped with the Asparagus Vichyssoise but then I would have missed trying the Chilled Green Curry Pear Soup with Spiced Walnuts & Coriander Coconut Chutney!!"

  • "Many previous good experiences. First time owner seated us and would not give us a table for 2 that was available instead gave us a table for four. The soup and salad were very good, the salmon entree was overcooked and served on a hot plate."

  • "Mosaic was full as we arrived for our 8:15 reservation . We were seated within 5 minutes and ordered a bottle of Argentinian Malbec. We ordered from the Savor Sarasota menu which included soup, appetizer, and entree. All 4 of us raved about our selections, and we were glad our prix fixe menu did not include dessert, as we were all sated from the rich soups and delightful app. and entrée sauces. Delicious! The service was attentive and polite. Our server, Peterwas very knowledgeable and eager to assist. We ended our dining with complimentary chocolate truffles which were decadent. We agreed to make Mozaic a favorite special occasion restaurant treat."

  • "I have very high expectations for Mozaic because their chef, Dylan Elhajoui, is one of the most talented and creative in SW Florida. This week, I was NOT disappointed. Food was excellent, service was very nice and selection of wines by the glass is quite extensive. It is Savor Sarasota time now. I feel Mozaic is one of the few participating restaurants to use Savor Sarasota as a way to showcase new, inventively prepared dishes, in order to attract new clientele. (Most other participants just cobble together a 3-course menu that meets the $29 p.p. price point.) I hope Savor Sarasota works well for Mozaic - we love it. Recommended: Lobster/Shrimp Bisque, Asparagus Vichysoisse, Escargot, Pork Chop and veggie accompaniments are great!"

  • "Partner and I dined at Mozaic as part of Savor Sarasota--a three-course meal for a fixed price. The food was top quality as always and was beautifuly presented. Both dishes were served with a melange of unusual vegetables perfectly cooked and artfully arranged. The lobster/shrimp soup was smooth and velvety with a rich flavor. The salmon was perfectly baked and the escargots were the best and tenderest I have ever eaten. A real treasure of a restaurant."

  • "Often a night out is like a friend's dinner party, but here the food is so specially thought out and presented that it is an experience you couldn't possibly have at home. Yet, nothing is precious or pretentious. Superb!"

  • "We have tried many Savor Sarasota menus at the local restaurants, some are terrific and some not so. Mozaic did such a great job, the best ever. One thing that was really special is that most of us don't eat dessert. Mozaic opted to not make dessert one of the 3 courses, so we were able to have "real" food for 3 courses instead. There was a reduced price menu for those looking for dessert. Great variety of selections, good portions, and tasty food. I would go back again if it didn't end so soon."

  • "We've eaten at Mosaic on several occasions and it's usually a very good experience. Unfortunately, our visit on June 7 was a disaster, primarily because the service was slower than molasses."

  • "Went to MoZaic for the Savor Sarasota special menu since it showed a lot of originality. We were not disappointed. The food was indeed original, sophisticated, prepared very carefully and spiced to perfection. In our previous visits MoZaic's weak point had been the service, but on Saturday night we were immediately shown to a table and our waitress, Amy, was constantly attentive and efficient and the kitchen produced dishes at right intervals. Perfect evening. Thank you."
