A word from Mountain Branch Grille & Pub
One of the best restaurants in Maryland is located just two miles from I-95 exit 74 at Mountain Branch Golf Course - 20 minutes from Baltimore.
Constructed out of three acres of Oregon’s finest Douglas Fir, the historic-looking timber-pegged post and beam structure has high ceilings, multilevel architecture and a magnificent view. The Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch is a favorite for relaxing after a round of golf and is an ever-popular destination for lunch, dinner and late night. Spacious patios afford dining al fresco when the weather is mild. And when winter winds are blowing, a large fireplace keeps the inside warm and cozy. The American-classic menu offers a diverse mix of tastes, including soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as fresh fish, crab cakes and Angus beef. Our chefs take pride in keeping the offerings creative and interesting - taking full advantage of fresh seasonal ingredients.

It’s been a while since we’ve been there but the experience was pleasently the same. It was a relaxing evening where we enjoyed a drink by the fire before being seated. The waitress advised us of a 3 course special which we enjoyed. The food was very good and served timely. We have already commented to several of our friends on how we enjoyed our dinner and will be back for sure.

A decent place to go if you live North of Baltimore and don't want to venture in the city. Food was pretty good, and the fixed price menu decent for the price. Note: The wine pairings for an additional cost were not worth it, as the wine was so-so, according to my wife. Overall, I'd go back. Cheers!

We went to the restaurant on Tuesday, the special was Prime Rib. That it what I chose.I was very disapointed it was dry and tough. My waitress was very nice and the sides were good. Maybe it was just a fluke with the meat but I did try a second piece and it was the same.

Our second trip here and we will go back! The staff is wonderful, the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. I had the FILET MIGNON with bearnaise which was perfectly prepared. My wife has scallops which she said were wonderful. My mother in law was happy with the her CHICKEN CHESAPEAKE as the crab imperial was mostly crab. My father in law loved his crab cake. I normally skip dessert but the bread pudding is outstanding. The solid wine list helps round out the evening. There was a party of 12 with four or more children. The staff seated them in a pleasant location but a bit away from the other diners. In short, good food, great service and a wonderful

After a 2 hour wait for a 7 pm reservation we were seated. The tip off was when we arrived ahead of schedule (to try out the live entertainment at the bar on Thursday night), the hostess ignored us for a full 20 minutes. This is unacceptable. The crab cakes could fit snugly under a silver dollar and were filled with stuffing. There was no backfin at all in the cake. What a rip off! The waitress took our candle before we were finished. My 4 oz. piece of salmon was nice but inadequately priced. For the same fare I could buy the entire fish.

  • Restaurants that decide to

Restaurants that decide to add a buffet after the fact need to closely examine the flow. In this restaurant, it was kind of nice to walk through the buffet on our way to our table so we could catch a glimpse of what was available. However, when we were actually in line, it felt very cramped and not accessible from both sides. We had to double back through the buffet line to return to our table. But the choices were very good and the Sunday brunch offers made-to-order omelets which your server brings to your table...you don't have to stand at an omelet station while they make it for you. Also, at a brunch buffet, refilling coffee cups should be automatic, not just when you ask.

The food was absolutely fantastic and worth the money. The drinks were a bit expensive. I enjoy a strong drink, but these drinks were entirely too strong, especially the Irish coffee, but we did not complain. The server was polite and knowledgeable. We made reservations and were seated immediately at a window seat, which we requested. Very quiet, rustic atmosphere. My husband and I had a wonderful time and plan on returning in the future.

Amazing Brunch Buffet!! We just visited Mountain Branch for their Sunday Brunch and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in and were greeted happily by the hostess and restaurant manager with a “Good Morning” and smiles. We requested to sit on the patio, which overlooks the beautiful greens of the golf course. There was even jazz music piped in outside, what a setting for a Sunday morning! Our server was so attentive and sweet, immediately greeting us and taking our drink orders. Then it was on to the buffet… it had items ranging from Eggs Benedict, Crab Cakes, a Carving Station, even a Children’s Buffet! Oh and don’t get me started on their Bread Pudding. This is a MUST HAVE when you are going to Mountain Branch. Even the price
