"This was our first experience here, and we will be back. This is a quaint establishment with a lot of history. The food was great, and the server was friendly. I look forward to trying it at various times of the day, as their signs say they were voted "best business lunch." The filet atop shrimp scampi was excellent."

"Our server Jack was excellent. He made our night fun and relaxed.I've never had a bad meal at Mount Hill Tavern, but I was a bit disappointed with the gouda appetizer. It is served with a blueberry compote, when I've ordered it in the past, the cheese was separate from the compote, this time, the blueberry topped the cheese and took away from the crispy texture of the fried gouda. Also, I ordered chicken marsala and the dish seemed slopped together, the presentation looked like something I prepared at home. It tasted good, but for the price, not what I expected. That was my first time ordering the entree. The chicken sate appetizer is delicious. The peanut sauce had a hint of mint, which made it refreshing."

"I just happened to notice the tavern one day when driving by and was so impressed by the beautiful landscaping and building that I decided that it would be worth checking out. My partner and I went to celebrate his birthday. The food was excellent. He's a vegetarian and there were several excellent entree options for him to select from, something you don't always have in local restaurants. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of the dishes. Our server was excellent. We were in on a Monday night and it was pretty low-key and not that busy. We both said that we'd be going back again."

"We decided to try Mt Hill as part of a birthday celebration and were disappointed. There was a large group upstairs that may have affected the kitchen. The table service was fine but the food delivery was terribly slow. My masala sause was thin, my potatoes were over cooked and the asparagus was so dry and over cooked it did not look like asparagus.
The meal was over priced and not worth it."

"We frequently dine out and always enjoy our experience at Mount Hill Tavern! They made an investment in enclosing the second level, which enhanced our dining experience with lower noise and better comfort. The second level would be great for a group setting, as well!"
