    The 1 hour limit does not apply for customers of MOSTO, so please use our parking lot even if you're planning on leaving your car overnight.

They ve won several awards through the years but what keeps blowing me out is the consistency and quality of their food. Service is always good and seasonal menu is always spot on.   • "Great food. Great service. Located in a very strange location. Our party had the lamb ragu, lamb loin, and the seabass. All of the dishes were great. Brought two bottles of wine in and there was no issue. Made a note that we were there for a birthday on Open Table and they brought out a free panna cotta, which was delicious. Will Definitely be back."

  • "Despite its strip mall location, Mosto Enoteca is a charming little restaurant with terrific food -- they have home made pastas, delicious entrees and fine desserts. The servers are personable and attentive. I hope their lunch crowd is bigger, because we were just one of three couples seated when we dined there the other evening. We also took advantage of an Entertainment.com discount, which made the meal a good deal, too. Their menu changes on a regular (daily?) basis, but everything they make is first rate. Go! You won't regret it."

The specials were extraordinary and featured fresh local sea food including a grilled octopus salad and sea urchin pasta fresh from Santa Barbara. Unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside where I was looking forward to enjoying the LA night above the hustle of the local neighborhood."

  • "The food was very good but the waiting was tedious. Perhaps they bit off more Valentines Day than they could chew-we were two minutes early, but waited ten more to be seated and 30 after that before we got something to drink. Apologies were offered early on because "everyone is late and showed up at the same time" but half the tables were still empty by 9 (our reservation was for 7:30) and when other customers complained about having to ask three times before they got their check, wait staff seemed to move even slower while mumbling things that gave distinct impression staff thought the CUSTOMERS were wrong to be in such a hurry. We skipped dessert because we had already sat with empty plates and glasses for 45 minutes waiting for check."

  • "We tried Mosto Enoteca for dine la week with 2 other couples this past weekend. Don't know why but we practically had to beg for water, for bread & for someone to take our order. They were out of several of the wines we tried to order but were happy to suggest a substitution of an inferior bottle for the same price. Be forewarned. The food was decent, I wouldn't say stellar. Half the group began with rather rubbery octopus salad & the other half had a nice caprese. This was followed by either a bland tagliatelle with mushrooms, passable salmon or a very good short rib. Desserts were luscious. Not sure any of us would rush back for the bad attitude or service or passable food."

  • "The food at Mosto Enoteca was very good, the server excellent and charming. The problem is the ambience. The restaurant sits atop a strip mall that is quite busy and small. In another locale, it would be much more pleasing to the eye. The locale did not fit the menu offerings or prices. We enjoyed our meal, and the service staff was prompt and efficient."

  • "This place is a hidden gem, although it was recognized by Zagat in 2013 as the #4 best itailan restaurant in Los Angeles. So basically it's up there with Mozza and Scarpetta, but the prices are much more reasonable. When you walk into Mosto it feels like you've walked into someone's home and that's how they treat you. They are so personable, genuine and the service is always great!.The atmosphere is casual, the lighting is dim and they use candle light. It's not a trendy place. It's the type of place you go to actually hear the person you are at dinner with talk. They have very low level music.I highly recommend the papardelle with beef ragu, the squid ink tagilatelle with shrimp, the caprese salad and of course the affogato."

From an interesting cheese selection to savory specials, if you are looking for a change in pace from the standard strip mall dining this is certainly it. The outdoor patio also provides a beautiful sunset view. Good for the casual romantic or the adventure seeker, you will not be disappointed."

  • "Our party of 7 was very disappointed in the quality of the food. 3 of us had the ahi tuna special and found it to be without flavor. Pastas were average. Appetizers were ok and desserts were all very good. Happy hour wine prices were good."

When asked about the inedible hard as rock woefully undercooked beans in salad were told " they were boiled". After the plate was removed the server returned to " the chef says thats the way they're supposed to be " Really/Seriously ! Homemade squid ink pasta with shrimp arrived totally under sauced and overcooked. The pasta soggy like a soup noodle and the shrimp as hard as the aforementioned beans. The color of the shrimp should have been enough for the chef to know it was inedible. The owner, Massimo told me homemade pasta is always this texture. Really ! Pasta that is housemade would require less cooking time but is still can be overcooked !"

The service started off very good, server was knowledgeable, but he never came to check if our food was okay or to see if we needed anything else. The busboy asked if our dinners were good as he cleared the table....a couple minutes later the waiter did come over with dessert menus, we passed. With all the restaurant choices out there, I wouldn't make a special trip back here, but if you are in the area it's fine."

  • "This restaurant did not operate properly. 4 of our 5apps were served at once, and one was delayed by quite a while. That would have been okay but our entrees took nearly an hour. The restaurant removed our bottle of wine from the bill without being asked - one mistake is understandable, two is unforgivable. The foodwas of mixed quality - mussels and clams were overcooked, pork under cooked, pasta sauce was institutional, and portions, were small for the price - sort of like trying to be upscale without the food to back it up. There are too many restaurants around to not just let Darwin take care of this one and let others thrive. If you can't manage two rooms, close one. do whatever you are going to do well, don't do two things poorly."

Not sure if that was a one time glitch but it was hard to get anyone's attention when we tried to inquire. Still, the food was very good and we would try this place again."

Casual, open to the Marina, full of life and good aromas as we entered... this was a good place to enjoy and to linger, even after the delicious meal was over. The waiters - Mosto and his staff - are absolutely great, attentive, knowledgeable. And the food! Delicious pasta, the ragu is fabulous, the burrata is delicate, and the longostina! ... everything!   • "The meal was great start to finish. I had a salad with burrata that was as fresh and flavorful as if I were in Naples. And my pasta -- the special of the day with beet pasta and a Gorgonzola and walnut cream sauce -- was light but intensely flavorful. Finally a fig tart was amazing with the perfect crust. The wine list covers the breadth of Italy and there are some good values as well as top quality big ticket wines. Finally, the service was friendly and effective without being intrusive. There are few Italian restaurants in LA as good."

  • "I hate to let everyone in on this little secret as this is a small restaurant located upstairs in a tiny strip mall. I like being able to get in when I want as I live in the neighborhood. Unfortunately I would be doing you and the restaurant a dis-service if I did not let everyone know how great the food and service. It is romantic in it's simplicity. It has a very nice patio that looks down onto the street but in some strange way is very nice. Make no mistake, you come to this restaurant for the food, the service and the wine selection. They make you feel special. Enjoy."

  • "We had gone to this restaurant because of the Zagat rating and to celebrate a birthday. We were disappointed. The food was good, but not great. The wine listed on the wine list that I wanted was not available. The suggested substitution was okay. We did not feel that this restaurant deserved as high a Zagat rating as it has. If you'd like a nice meal at a low key place, this would satisfy."
