Moshuluwonderful luncheon post graduationSeveral of my family members and I had lunch at the Moshulu after my graduation ceremony from Holy Family University's graduate program. It was only 11 minutes away from the Academy of Music, where the graduation was held. The ambience, food, and staff were exceptional. In the near future I will definitely attend a show at the Academy then go there afterwards for lunch or dinner.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful eveningWent to celebrate being back in Philly for the first time in years. The food, service and amiiance were excellent5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to the Moshulu forI went to the Moshulu for my birthday and it was absolutely wonderful!!! The food was outstanding and dessert was even better. With my dessert they gave me an exrta plate that had Happy Birthday written in chocolate, with two house made chocolate candies and tiny chocolate martini complete with a candle for me to blow out! The only problem that all 6 in my party had was that the chairs we sat in were rather uncomfortable. The bill for the 6 of us without drinks was over $500 so I would only reccomend this place for very special occasions.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh SeasThe weather has been getting better for outdoor dining and the menu options are changing with the season. I had a wonderful meal the other night that was well worth raving about. I started off with the seafood tower and the charcuterie assortment and finished off with the Halibut entrée special. There is always room for one of the special desserts. I would recommend everything that I had. The Moshulu is always a wonderful spot for a date night or just to catch a drink on the deck.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMdaddy samThe food and service was excellant..Woud recomend to every one.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchTook my mom for brunch on Mother's Day. While the price was more than their regular brunch, it was worth it because they didn't overbook and it was nice and quiet, except for the two screaming children next door.
The food was pretty good and they offered a lot of different items. Our server, John, was a total babe and should have been on magazine covers instead of working as a server. Super nice staff and all very helpful.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMoshulu's brunch is amazingMoshulu is one of my family's favorite restaurants, and I have taken my mother there for Mother's Day for years. They always make it special, the servers are attentive, and the food is always excellent. They always have old favorites, like omelets and bisque, but they also often change things out to make it a unique experience every year. This year, they featured an area of dumplings, filled with pork, chicken, shrimp and vegetables, with a sweet chili sauce, that were delicious.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers DayThe Moshulu was an outstanding experience! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the view! I hope I don't have to make an excuse to go back! We will surely be back!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNice, NiceHas a selection of Salumi that is prepared in house. The various meats that were served as an amuse-bouche were flavored nicely. Would like to return to do a full course from the many choices. The duck dish was enough to feed a very hungry man. Delicious confit and duck breast.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatI had a dinner here with my friend, and my friend was definitely shocked by the boated restaurant and the sea view. Very great food, decent place for a perfect date.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome experienceCan't say enough about Moshulu! Fantastic food, service and location. Well worth the price. It was a great night to enjoy the view from the upper decks and watch the sunset. The Moshulu never dissapoints and it is quickly becoming a favor spot of ours.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMSpring Has ArrivedSome new menu items I tried this time were the Salmon Carpaccio, Octopus and Shrimp Ceviche appetizers along with the Monk fist for dinner. Truely outstanding additions to the menu. Always a wonderful experience. Thanks again4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this PlaceMy husband and I don't often get a Sunday off together, but we were able to celebrate this Sunday at Brunch for our anniversary. We always pick Moshulu for our go-to Brunch. If you go early, it is quiet - before the groups and kids get there - no offense to them, it's just what we prefer. The food is top-of-the-line, both breakfast and lunch offerings. Our particular favorites are the Moshulu Omelette and the Lobster Bisque soup. There is an array of buffet appetizers (including hard to find caperberries) and a luscious desert buffet. You just order your entree. We kept George busy bringing us Champagne and Bellinis, but he was cool and never flustered - he was amazing. They also brought us a sorbet amenity for our anniversary. The Best.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe are New Yorkers, but visitWe are New Yorkers, but visit Phila. several times a year. It wouldn't be a visit without a Sunday brunch at Moshulu -- our favorite stateside brunch restaurant.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great evening at theAnother great evening at the Moshulu. Able to get our same waiter George who truly represents top service and a true professional. Pricey but worth it.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Dining & Pricey parkingVery nice restaurant. A little pricey with great views of Delaware river. Parking price of $15.00 a little high. Moshulu should validate and pay some parking cost.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA Winner Again!!I chose Moshulu based on our last experience (a birthdaycelebration) which was great. Once again the service and the food at Moshulu was top shelf. Our waitress was wonderful. She was attentive, knowledgable and always wore a smile throughout our entire time we were there. I would definitely recommend Moshulu as a great place for a romantic, intimate dinner. The staff never makes you feel rushed and is happy to accomodate their customers. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I hope to go back soon for the Sunday Brunch.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat location for a Sunday dinnerExcellent food quality and very fie service. I'd definitely reccomend this place for a special night.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat historical atmosphereGreat historical atmosphere combined with excellent meal and delightfull wine. I can truly give the highest ratings on everything from the food, to the atmosphere, to the service - all were A++. Our waiter was extrememly eloquent and accomodating - two glasses of special birthday champagne were given to us at no cost, as well as a delicious appetizer (compliments of the chef). We had the legendary lobster bisque as well as a cheese plate to start - delicious. For our main entrees, we did the salmon and mahi mahi. Both were prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. Dessert fell right in line with the high quality of everything else. We were thoroughly charmed - everything was well worth the price... it was an unforgettable dining experience.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful EasterWe had a wonderful Easter Brunch with our family! I was not expecting such a diverse and exciting menu, I also did not expect the hospitality that was given to us. I have driven by so many times without trying it out, I honestly thought it was just place for tourists. We will be back. The only downfall is the parking fee:(3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFloating dinnerDinner was quite good and on a Monday night it wasn't busy so service was exceptional. The crab cake platter was absolutely delicious, excellent wine list and our server was very attentive to each detail. All topped off by a window table made it a night to remember.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food but a bit priceyFor those who don't know, the Moshulu is an authentic sailing ship converted into a restaurant. "Scenic View" is a relative term when looking at the pier not far from the Moshulu ... but it is a unique dining atmosphere and everyone should try it at least once. As usual, the menu was creative, food was very good, and the service excellent! Ask for a table by the window (porthole). Although a bit pricey it's worth it; try getting a Groupon so you can save a few $$$3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOur party of six family membersOur party of six family members thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon Birthday celebration for Nana. Our server, Carla (9 Bob) was great. Very efficient, friendly and considerate. She made sure we had good memories of our party. The food was very good.
