The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We started with a salad and the baked brie. Both fine. For entrees, the pan seared salmon was outstanding--worth coming back for. The ribeye, though ordered medium rare, arrived medium well. As our server did not put down our entrees, it took about 15 minutes to get the attention of staff to correct the mistake and another 10 for a properly prepared steak to arrive. Go for the salmon.

WE REALLY WANTED TO GIVE THIS PLACE ANOTHER TRY- THEY HAD CHANGED THE MENU AND IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE GETTING IT TOGETHER. WRONG-- IT MUST BE RUN BY A NON RESTAURANT PERSON BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE THE BASICS DOWN. THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY SOME GUY WITH AN ATTITUDE, AND NOT THE LEAST BIT TUNED IN TO BEING A WAITER, WAS JUST BAD. THE PLACE IS REAL LOUD, WITH ONLY 4 TABLES FULL. I THOUGHT THEIR SLOW BUSINESS WAS THE LOCATION, BUT I SEE NOW THE BIGGER PROBLEM. THE FOOD WAS OK, AND THE MENU IS OK, BUT THE BIGGER PROBLEM EXITS WITH THE HELP AND MANAGEMENT. WON'T BE BACK ANYTIME SOON.

We went to Morty's after they opened and felt the the food was okay but it was overpriced and the service wasnt very good. Since reading in the San Carlos Patch that the ownership recognized that neither their menu nor their pricing was truly "family friendly" we decided to try it again. Well we were disappointed yet again. See me review on Yelp if you want more detials. Food was decent. Service was a complete fail. Won't be back.

We were there on a Saturday night when Tom Jackman was playing guitar. He was wonderful. We really enjoyed listening to him. Unfortunately, the food was not quite as good as the entertainment. The braised ribs were a little fatty indicating they hadn't been cooked long enough. The lobster special was interesting... The lobster was perfectly cooked, but layering it with pear and wrapping it in puff pastry doesn't make it "stuffed." The sauce with the lobster made the puff pastry soggy. The whole thing didn't work well together. (Only 2 stars for dinner.) We have also had Sunday brunch at Morty's and every item was delicious. I highly recommend Sunday brunch. (4 stars for brunch.)

We had a great time. we sat outside for the quiet and romance of the eveining. the wait staff rolled a heater right over to our area to assure our comfort. Staff had good recommendations, the owner dropped over and held a lievely conversation with us, welcoming us to his place. Enjoyed a Brie berger, great Ribeye steak, split a fresh salad and devoured the chocolate tulip with berries and lemon curd. Would go again and take friends.

The mini burgers and food for kids is cute. The menu sounds much better than the actual product that arrivwes at your table. The calamari was fine but the sauce terrible. When i asked for a simple aoili i was given thousand island dressing. The cesar salad should not have kalamata olives in it. Otherwise our main courses were okay for the price. Bring warm clothes. We were freezing the whole time.

This place need major help. You can't charge prices like this and deliver some of the most amateur service around. There does not appear to be any floor managers so you can't blame a young staff that has no training. The place is cold due to the doors always being open. There is some talent in the kitchen, but thats where is stops.

This restaurant has potential but needs to pay attention to detail. The waiters need to be trained to be more attentive, my son ordered a pizza for an as his main course and we ordered a salad and entrees. His pizza came early and he was finished with it before our salad arrived. It was difficult to get their attention for more wine and other service. This is the first time owner of a restaurant and he has not done his home work, no art on the walls at first and very little now, the noise is not acceptable and wine list is poor. It's been open several months and not too much improvement has been done. The security cameras are too obvious, people like privacy. The owner needs to go to other successful restaurants and see what they are doing

The Caesar Salad was really one of the best I've had in a long time; not at all anemic like so many are, i.e., adequate anchovies and garlic. Tasty Martini (Gin, not Vodka, thanks). I think the steak selections are a little slim; I anticipated a more traditional steak house, but my ribeye was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy and flavorful. My wife enjoyed her crusted Halibut very much. Sitting outside on a nice evening was a treat.

This is a new restaurant so it isn't fair to be too hard on it. With that being said, the noise level is way too intense. Tiles need to be teared out of carpet on top. We had to sit outside which was fine as it was a nice evening. But the noise was off putting. My meal, short ribs was very good, my husband's halibut which he adores SALT said it was awful in oyster sauce. Chef take a glance at the food and step up..

Maybe they are still working out the kinks as as far as service and menu. Servers were confused -- but polite & friendly. No one seemed to be assigned to us so I flagged down a server after 15 min of waiting (they were not busy). We were right in front of kitchen, where they all seemed to congregate. The manager(I'm guessing--a woman with keys dangling from her arm) kept rushing about but didn't really see that we were not being waited on. The owner (again my guess) greeted folks he knew and those folks were waited on... The cocktails were OK but not cold. The portion sizes very large. Who wants to eat a whole head of radicchio as a salad? The fries served with one burger would have fed our party of four.

This was our first time and we heard it was similar to Town, which helped draw us in. The ambiance and service was terrific. Our server was great and both the manager and owner came to visit with us. We brought our three kids and kept to a simple menu (pizzas, salads, burgers) so didn't get a chance to explore the broader menu and the main entrees. The vodka/lime/cucumber spatini was incredible. One of the best cocktails around. The food was also good but I feel the real excitement will come as we try other items.

Unfortunately the staff was not performing well (i.e. waitstaff lacks experience, lacks reasonable attentiveness to basic customer needs - like removing empty dishes, refilling water, etc.). Perhaps, they simply were understaffed for a Friday night? Anyway, it's not for me to understand. They seated us outside on the sidewalk, which was incredibly noisy - to the point of giving us headaches. Ceasar was small. TheI "Low-Carb Burger", consisted of a nice quality burger between two portabella mushrooms. The flavor and seasonings were fine, however, the portabellas were extremely 'tough'. What was striking for a "low carb" plate was the accompanying cup of french fries (not listed on the menu). New restaurant, too early to judge?

The sweet corn fritters were great. The food is good but the service really needs work. Our server was not at all attentive, difficult to get her attention. She forgot to replace cutlery and we had to ask another server to replace it after she served our food and disappeared. She did not ask if I wanted another cocktail or glass of wine when she took my companion's drink order. She did not ask if either of us wanted something else to drink with our entrees, she just took away the empty glasses and we did not see her again until we asked another server for our check. Hopefully Morty's will iron out the rough service as they lost money on our table. We usually have wine and dessert but skipped it as we could not fine our server.
