The "70s/80s elegance" theme is cute, but I feel like it would do a service to the restaurant's food for the place to not look like an old casino. Just a thought."

  • "I went to Sate Street location not Wacker Drive by accident,my fault, Yet, they hopnored the reservationand the food was the best i have ever had anywhere, and the service was even better. (Rainy was our wonderful Waitress). I had the Bone In Rib eye and my bud had the Bone in Filet, and we shared a bottle of Stag’s Leap “Artemis” Cabernet Sauvignon. What a great dinner!   • "If you ask $$$$ it must be impeccable........dish was cold, outside it was freezing en normally food shood be good warm. We want to make it a last evening in chicago, we ASK for food come slowly, we have time, we ware out in 1 hour = ordening, botle of wine and eating If it was 1/2 price it was still much money. Wine was $$$$ for American wine Sorry for Stephen, he did his job wel, the chef should give him a part of the tip..... Sorry for my English....."

  • "Went to celebrate some birthdays. Made the reservation (for 7, 3 families)on Open Table and included the birthday info in the special instructions. Arrives and table was ready with personalized "Happy Birthday" menus on the table waiting. Food was excellent. Desserts for the birthday girls was comp'd. Staff took a picture of the group of us and printed 1 for each family. Thanks for a special night, Morton's!"

  • "I picked Mortons as a suprise B-day evening for my fiancee'. We are both big steak lovers! I simply made my RSVP via open table, picked the time, and added a few comments in the comment box. You always wonder if the RSVP will be there, as we had a special evening planned, and the timing had to be spot on as we had to get to the theater by 8pm. Well, we walked in early, they greeted us with a Happy B-day! Then we were shown to our seats, a nice cozy booth! How perfect!. Our server Mary greeted us with a Happy Birthday! Very cool. Our personalized menues listed Happy Birthday Kelly at the top. Another fine touch. Meal was perfect, Awesome place! Steaks perfect, wine too. The ambiance was awesome! Very romantic, quiet! Loved it!"

  • "First off, the place is beautiful inside. Very modern, and classy. We felt a little guilty coming in jeans but we did see others dressed similarly. We were were promptly seated and attended to immediately by a friendly, knowledgeable waiter. Prepare for a shock when you open the menu, Now we are not cheap by any means but everything is served a la carte and is very pricey, to the point of being ridiculous. They have a three course special listed on their web site that the waiter did not mention. We went for that. I have to say that we were not blown away by the food that one might expect at these prices. We have had steaks at suburban steak houses that were as good or better for way less money, without the hassle of driving into Chicago."

Several of us went the entire meal with out seeing our waiter to get a water refill. It so, it will be very disappointing to many of us that have enjoyed Morton's in the past."

  • "It was like the frozen tundra in Chi-Town the night The Hawks whipped the Pens at Soldier Field. We had the Lobster bisque, and French onion soup as an appetizers, Filet Mignon as the main coarse with the horseradish mash potatoes, and grilled asparagus as sides. Cory was spot on as a server, the wine was great. They gave us a free desert to celebrate my birthday, we added the carrot cake as well.. Great meal.. Great Service.. Great Location"

There is even a "fancy" macaroni and cheese side which was wonderful. From the bread through dessert, we wouldn't have changed a thing!"

  • "Enjoyed our meal there greatly. We all had Tenderloins and they were perfectly aged and cooked to perfection.......absolutely delicious....not cheap, but delicious. I hadn't been to Morton's in Chicago in a few years, but had good memories, so took a chance to celebrate my wife's birthday while we were in town for some medical appts. for my son at Univ. of Chicago. It's still recommended for a special evening or celebration. Great service and ambiance and great steaks."

  • "After many years, we finally were able to try Morton's. Nice, quiet, relaxed ambiance for our 5:30, Sat reservation. Martini's were below average, fairly watery. Ordered, five onion soup, 16oz Rib-Eye. Shared, grilled asparagus, baked potato, carrot cake. All good, just not as good as I was expecting from Morton's. Maybe my expectations were too high. But I have had equally, if not better, food at much more reasonable prices throughout the area. Would most likely not make a special trip there."

  • "I go to this restaurant every time I am in Chicago ( twice a year) for the last 15 years. Usually the quality of the food is great. Good portions, tasty, juicy steaks. Great wine list and a helpfull somellier. This time I was disappointed from the steaks. My partner had a NY strip and I had a bone in rib eye. Both were ordered medium rare and prepared accordingly. Both were completely tasteless. We hardly touched them. We consumed the whole "mountain" of fries and the lovely mushrooms, I was very disappointed. But I will go back next time. Give it one more chance. After all, I had great experiences all those years"

  • "I went to Morton's with my wife for Valentine's Day since it was close and had an available time. I have been to the Naperville location and recall it being quite nice. They seated us upstairs in a large room that was clearly meant for parties, with movable walls. It felt more like I was eating at a conference center than a nice restaurant. Downstairs looked better. Also, both upstairs and downstairs I was surprised at the clientele. Some were dressed nicely as expected, but some were dressed in jeans and t-shirts. One large man was wearing only a white undershirt and black pants; another guy came in with a White Sox cap on sideways (he was asked to take it off, but still). Not what I was expecting, particularly on Valentine's Day."

  • "If you're in Chicago and want a first class Prime aged cut of beef, then Morton's will not dissappoint. The high heat hearth is operated by focused meat experts. My wife and I each enjoyed the Chicago Cut or bone in Ribeye. You gotta love the meat by the bone.... Our server was attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Though expensive, it is truly worth every bite."

  • "We frequent several Morton's in several states and this one is unfortunately not one of our favorites. We've been several times in the last year and each time my wife's steak has been undercooked and had to be returned. The service was not bad, but wasn't what you would expect from a high end steakhouse. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, but definitely not the Morton's experience we're used to. We've had a much better steak experience in Chicago at either Ruth's Chris or Shula's."
