Our waiter, Jordan, was fabulous and made our dining experience exceptional from martini to espresso. Bluepoint oysters were fresh and succulent. The filet was cooked perfectly and had no tendons or chewy parts (as experienced at other steakhouses). Jordan introduced us to a new Malbac ("Primo") which was delicious. My husband enjoyed the special "Savor Summer" menu which included a mahi tuna appetizer, filet, vegetable, and dessert. All were delicious. Only criticism would be that our waiter did mention a halibut special that night which I heard mentioned to another table. I had the sea bass which was excellent and my husband really liked his pork chop. Said the one at Benny's was a little better having better seasoning, but said it was still very good. They allow kids and hapoened to have many kids at the restaurant. I tried the porterhouse which was good not great. I believe its overpriced for the hype the place gets. IMO. It was perfect: spacious, beautifully set table and chairs around the walls perfect for the children . Food and service was outstanding from start to finish. We had the cold sea food platters to start and then steaks of course and lamb, and the crab legs, plus delicious vegetables. The chocolate soufflé is a must! Highly recommended for a special occasion. The restaurant even gave us our own menus with a personalized note at the top. They have a 3 Course Lunch that I'd recommend to everyone. Seafood, Steak choices, soup or dessert and chocolate mousse or cheesecake (both are excellent). We took a peer here for her retirement lunch, and they printed special menus congratulating her and took a group photo and inserted it into a card! I'd recommend Morton's to anyone. We especially like the 3 course dinner you offer.Have never ever had a bad meal or disappointed.The only thing I would like to see is smaller portions on the side dishes, I hate to waist food and always have to leave some salad and sides. I'd place this one in the middle of the pack. The steaks are always good, but you PAY for what you get at this place -- like most big steakhouse chains. The service was great, from the moment we walked in the door to the end of our dining experience. The drinks and sides are a little on the pricey side for me, but it is a star steakhouse in downtown Chicago and I am just not used to that. (Since I am not from Chicago).
My table of 4 loved the loaf of bread we received while looking over the menu. We split the first loaf and loved it. Our server said he would get us a second loaf, but then the restaurant ran out, so we were bummed about that. However, that was the only bummer of the evening. Even the desserts were delicious, did not taste like frozen or bought products at all.

The service was good although it was busy and took a bit for our food to arrive. I would highly recommend making a reservation if coming on a weekend night.
We order Steak, the crab cakes , and a couple appetizers. Everything was good and as expected. The combination steak options are a good choice, I selected the one with scallops. We don't normally spend this much for dinner, but we'd likely not select this restaurant the next special occasion dinner. I wouldn't say we felt we got our money worth but we were full when we left!
